Today arrived my second CW First Aid!
My intention was to custom the head using a PCC Smolder combiner head, in order to create a new ambulance bot to use into my CW Nova Maximus, and finally my custom combiner is completed!

The only thing that concerns me is that right now the combiner got one silver hand, since I used CW Prowl on him, and the other hands/feet are black.
My initial intention was to get, whenever I'll be able, to get CW Smokescreen (I still miss a CHUG version of him) and swap the hand. But I don't exactly know when/where I'll get him, since here in Europe it costs really too much for a deluxe class, and I don't want to pay a deluxe class figure like a voyager or a leader class, so for now I'll pass.
So, I was thinking about giving a meaning to the silver hand.
Since I was writing a background for the combiners (him and Galvatronus), and they both come from the Dead Universe, do you think it's a nice or an awful idea to give the combiner like the power to canalize the power from the DU into death rays from his silver hand?

Sounds like Death Rays are the way to go.
However if you want an easy fix, buy a set of KO Perfect Effect combiner feet and hands of your chosen color off eBay.
Then you get the color you want, a taller bot and hands that can grip.

Sounds like Death Rays are the way to go.
However if you want an easy fix, buy a set of KO Perfect Effect combiner feet and hands of your chosen color off eBay.
Then you get the color you want, a taller bot and hands that can grip.

I'm still thinking about getting the PE sets, since so far I haven't purchased any for my combiners (I was interested in getting the one for Bruticus, but it sold out really fast) and I didn't like the look of them on Superion and Menasor (too big the feet in the first, too big the alternative modes on the cars in the second one).
So right now the only combiner with alternative hands/feet than the regular CW accessories is my UW Megatronia, that got the special feet from the set.
That's why I'm not sure getting a set only for him, it would stand out too much with the other combiners.

G1 Micromaster combiners. This is Sixtrain but there are many others. They came in individual boxes so you had to buy all the robots individually. Hasbro released several of them through the universe line.

I felt quite lucky, I rarely see such a nice mix of new figures. its usually just a new leader, or just a new legends. But this was a nice mix, with wave 3 deluxes as a bonus too. Plus the weapon minicons that the states never got. Once again it shows quality over quantity

Quite a nice looking targetmaster at a relatively reasonable price for a promo item. But be very, very careful with tiny bots made out of clear plastics. Because based on my Power Core Combiners minicons... Well, no breakage so far but... Stress marks... Stress marks everywhere...

Oh no doubt. I've had several mini cons fall victim to stress marks. Which is a shame, because some look so good in clear plastic.

Wait... You got Roadgrabber and Gunrunner in one haul, and their accessories in another?

No actually.

I bought Roadgrabber from one seller, then Gunrunner from another. The only accessory other than the shell and robot either came with was a missile pod for Gunrunner. But they were only $12 a piece, much less than the $30+ for a complete one each. And then I found the Gunrunner pompom for very cheap and I bought the Roadgrabber pompoms at a good price too. In total, for both minus the 2 handguns and a missile pod (which to me aren't much of a bother) it comes to about $43, which really isn't bad compared to the $60+ for the 2 complete.

Plus, I gave TR Hot rod's guns to Gunrunner, so it still works out guns wise

Really jealous of that Gunrunner; one of the only Pretenders aside from Bludgeon and Thunderwing I remember and actually want. He's essentially an Action Master with a jetpack painted like a jet mode so he can pretend he does actually have an alt-mode and I feel I relate deeply to that on some level.

I'd really want a complete G1 Thunderwing, but I like to keep both of my kidneys thank you very much.

My haul from the wonderful WJ88 arrived today! And oh boy, what a haul. It contained TR Sentinel Prime, HFTD Battle Blade Bumblebee, ROTF Mindwipe, T30 Roadbuster (sadly missing weapons but oh well) and a complete surprise in the form of a TR Triggerhappy!

No pics yet, but my thoughts:

Sentinel Prime: This guy is a lot of fun. Very cool, heroic looking robot mode, surprisingly decent colours and a fun transformation. He will definitely need the Paintbrush of Power though.

Bumblebee: Hooo boy, where to begin? This thing is sublime. Like, this thing is practically a Masterpiece, it's that good. The transformation, whilst absolutely terrifying, is a thing of engineering beauty, and the robot mode is incredible. I never thought I'd be this happy about a movie Bumblebee figure. He only has a few flaws- a QC screwup in the form of a very slightly wonky wheel pin, his axe is rather oddly designed (seemingly pointing the wrong way, and it's clearly not a misassembly) and the unpainted cannon barrel. But who cares? He's amazing and I love him.

Mindwipe: This guy, oh MAN this guy. Incredible. Arms are a bit weird with the springloaded knives, but he looks so menacing. Now I need a Skystalker. I will say, given that Skystalker got redecoed into Laserbeak I REALLY wish Mindwipe had gotten a Soundwave redeco.

Roadbuster: This guy is a little bit weak. Granted I got him sans weapons so I missed out on that play pattern goodness, but on the base level he feels a smidge...off. Like, his transformation is harder than it should be and his arm ratchets are a bit wibbly. But he really does have a shelf presence, and I really dig his overall aesthetic. He actually poses pretty well, and his vehicle mode is gorgeous. I'll have to go to Shapeways/evilBay to give him some weapons, but oh well. He's my least favourite of the haul but he's still great.

Triggerhappy: Due to being a Canadian release, he comes with two of the same gun. Here ends the negative elements of Triggerhappy. This guy is one of the best Deluxes we've had in recent years, and if we ever get Misfire and Slugslinger over here I'll buy them.

So yes, thank you so much Will, you're ace!

It was the first time I saw him.

I don't know what the consensus on Sixshot is, but I think he's incredibly plain. Maybe I'm just being my ol' asshat self, but it really is a boring figure. None of the modes look good, and it's basically the G1 figure with knees and elbows. For $40, I'm glad to have basically a complete G1 Sixshot, and I really like that removing the Titanmaster is not necessary for transformation. He's ok, but I'm already kind of bored with him, and I don't remember the last figure I had such a quick meh response to.

I've gotta disagree on that honestly; the guns give him a lot of character and customisability. One day I'll sprawl the guns out on the ports all over his body, the next day I'll have him holding this mega super ultra bazooka of devastation made from all of them. It really makes the toy for me; without them he's pretty good, but with them he's really good.
