I haven't had either of them for long enough to fully judge them, but I will say that Black Shadow is pretty fricken awesome so far.

Black Shadow IS awesome. Also, try out the secret 4th mode, the MOTHERSHIP! (Basically the base mode with the nosecone in jet mode.)

As for bradside, I was a denier, especially for the derpy jet mode. But he's too fun to really care.

Broadside is great. Parts of the jet look cool at least, plus you can fam mode it if you wish. Probably my favorite voyager of TR.

The only thing I'm lukewarm on Black Shadow is the base mode. I really wish someone would put out a set of ramps or chairs to attach to the bases to make them more interactive with the little titan masters.

There was something I preordered a while back that would've been great but it still isn't out yet and I have the feeling it's never coming out.

I dont find it bad at all. And you can interact with the base with all the little peg hols for titan masters to stand. What I love to do is use the ramps fro other bases (the blaster base for instance) and plug that to black shadow's base and have the little titan master tank and hovercraft vehicles go down them. And Sky Shadow's base at least has one chair.

Black Shadow's base mode doesn't look too bad to me, but if/when I get him he probably won't assume it very often.

Blaster on the other hand (when I get him) has a really good base mode. And it's reconfigurable!

It doesn't ruin the figure for me, mostly because Blackshadow never had a base mode to begin with, so it doesn't feel like anything was lost on this version.

Overlord, on the other hand, had a better looking base mode originally so his new toy will feel like a downgrade.

I took a semi-break from collecting this month and got two items I was relatively happy with actually.

Platinum Unicron is here and honestly I fell in love with it. I even transformed him already and found it to be satisfyingly easy.

These are some nice gifts for this month since I took a break. I was very pleased with it all actually.

If I had one complaint with Unicron it's the lack of thigh swivels. That aside he's perfect.

Topic: You know who Triggerhappy could feasibly be completely reshelled as (the way they've been doing with some TR and CW figures)? Cyclonus. The basic shape in vehicle and robot mode is already there, he just needs the Cyclonus details/vehicle shell. Sure it wouldn't be perfectly G1 accurate (specifically he'd have his vision slit on his chest) but I think it'd work pretty well, especially if they gave him a Targetmaster like they're doing with Kup and Hot Rod. Though granted I'm biased as I adore the Triggerhappy mold.

I know and it's relatively adorable. That's kind of why I wanted one.

This is my first time with the Unicron mold. The only issue I have is the hand doesn't always want to work sadly. I'm fiddling with it though, at least I figured out the trick with the eyes (and realized it would work better if they glowed green). I'm going to try to do another collection photo come tomorrow for my thread. My shelves are filling out quite nicely with a lot I've grabbed within the last little bit.

Got myself a TR Wolfwire thanks to a raincheck. 15$ instead of 20$. Meh, better than nothing. The figure itself is quite good. Very tight and a clever transformation. My only gripes are the limited thighs/hips articulation in wolf mode and the all RED face in bot mode. Like seriously, it was SO hard to paint the visor a different color?

Anyway, That figure is nice, but miss a lot of potential due to the lack of paint aps. So, TOYHAX TO THE RESCUE! Yup. Wolfire is defenitely worth the Reprolabels treatment.

If you're not a big fan of how the head looks and you don't have any particular care for Weirdwolf as a character, I've found Clobber's head works amazingly on the guy.

True that with TR, we can swap heads... But my OCD prevent me from doing so.

So I just ordered Wolfwire's reprolabels and while I was at it, ordered the very AMAZING CW Computron set as well.

Also, Berserker is about the SAME toy as that other one in DOTM. It's good, but done this, done that. I traded mine away a good while ago. So no need at all to buy another one with about the same paint aps for 10$ more.

Just Gnaw. I bought some at walmart just in case but now i got them at TRU for cheap thanks to a raincheck so I will return the others to walmart.

Berserker is a totally different toy than the DOTM crankcase, it just has a similar looking robot mode. Its like saying this new MP bee is basically the same as HA bee because they have a similar looking robot.

Its a completely different mold from top to bottom. Doesnt make it good though.

Seriously, Will, you should calm your plastic addiction. Buying every new toys at FULL price is unlike you. Especially the TLK ones that are 33%/50% MORE EXPENSIVE for no valid reasons.

Seriously, Will, you should calm your plastic addiction. Buying every new toys at FULL price is unlike you. Especially the TLK ones that are 33%/50% MORE EXPENSIVE for no valid reasons.

I wouldnt know about Crankcase, never owned him and the only time he was ever released again since i started collecting was in that platinum set we never got in Quebec (which I would have bought).

And I have 3 months to return these toys to walmart and get my money back for the difference. I also have rainchecks on movie toys for TRU so it will all work out. Like that I get to have all the toys early and I later get my money back. Like those Gnaws. I bought 2 at walmart for 12$ a piece but then I bought 2 more at TRU for 6$ each (raincheck) and will now return the walmart ones.

The only way I lose is if TRU never gets the toys but thats not a real loss since that means at least I guaranteed that I would own them.

I could also lose my receipt in the 3 months time, which did happen for Astrotrain and Alpha Trion. But oh well, lessons learned.
