Holy crap this is big...

10000JPY, with shipping alone costing 5200JPY. Total, around 192$CAN. It came from Japan to Canada IN 3 DAYS! :shock:

And no custom fees either! :DANCE:

So what did I get? Something I swore I would never buy because I never thought it would be worth almost 300$CAN counting all the fees. But used, 100% complete, and at that price? How could I resist?

MP ULTRA MAGNUS!

Everything is accounted for and nothing is broken.

Man, Magnus is HUGE! The human companions are ridiculously small compared to him.

Transformation was easier than I thought, but oh so satisfying with lots of clever tricks. My only tiny gripe is the "sleeves" that wrap around his hands peg loosely. Other than that, what a glorious, GLORIOUS vehicle mode.

It's been a while since a MP satisfied me so much! :APPLAUSE:

Now, where the hell will I be able to expose him? I'll have to make room for a brand new Magnus shrine. :-?

I'm not so sure, maybe if it gets multiple runs like UM did, but for now Megatron is selling out quickly and consistantly for 21,000 JPY on Mandarake. Even MP-05 has been steadily going up, the latest listing being 22,000 JPY. Demand for UM just hasn't exceeded the supply so prices are staying low, but the same may never be true for Megatron, I think he'll always be in-demand.

Anyway, I've got my own little haul from Mandarake.

Q-Transformers Anime Protagonists Set (Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Lockdown) - 1,200 JPY (US$10.75)
There's only a few of these guys I really want (these are my first), but being able to get the three main characters from the anime in one set for that price is really a no-brainer.

Yes, they are very cute. I dont regret the purchases in the least. And I like how you get your money's worth. Its not a big sum but you get some cute transforming figures. Better than those tiny titans, thats for sure. Also, I really like how they didnt skimp on the sculpting. Hound, for instance has a nice sculpted tire in the inner panel that opens up even if it just ends up on his back.

I went for groceries and saw that I TrU, there was still some TFs on sale. So I completed my tiny changers set with Gold Grimlock, Soundwave, Lockdown, and Crosshair. And thanks to the sale, the One Step Hound was at the normal 10$CAN. So even though I shat on it aplenty in the TLK thread, the completist in me won and I bought him. At 10$, it's allright. And the lack of paint is forgiven thanks to the "invisible flames" gimmick.

Also, thanks to my unexpected Mandrake haul showed above, my Ultra Magnus shrine is now GLORIOUS!
