Recent acquisitions: ER Smokescreen (no weapons, but I got him at near-retail so whatever) and Grapple (no missile, had broken pegs but I've fixed them and filed them).

Passing the fact that I'd only buy incomplete/broken TF if they were dirt cheap, when I found out how tight the head/ladder pegs were, I took the drill that is the perfect size to drill "5mm" holes for my customs and I used it to shave the excess plastics off those peg holes in the legs where that connect. That fixed the problem instantly.

Well, Grapple ran me a grand total of $15.75, of which $8.50 was for Grapple himself, and the rest was shipping and tax. And at $15 plus $6.75 for shipping, Smokescreen was cheap for "Earthrise Deluxes who aren't Wheeljack or Arcee" :BANG_HEAD:

After testing the extracted pegs on the other pegholes, and his claw and gun's pegs on the feet pegholes, I felt that on my Grapple it was the pegs that were the offenders so I filed them to reduce diameter.

Not exactly, but could be used similarly. The packaging is the same as the original Takara release, so a legends type box, but the insert could be used as a backdrop. Hasbro added an outer box similar to what they do for Takara selects and MPs.

Target has them oof priced at $112US for this set. Thankfully I had a couple offers in their app for 25% off 1 toy and another for a $10 gift card with a $40 toy purchase. That eased the price enough for me to bite.

Well that and my lack of impulse control around plastic.

With my birthday coming up tomorrow, I treated myself early. I gave in and picked up Blitzwng even though I said I wasn't going to, as well as Knock Out, Soundwave, and a couple Dark Troopers.

Having Blitzwng in hand, I have to say his bot mode is very very nicely done. A real beauty to look at. I don't really care for his alt modes, although I think the jet mode would have been okay if not for all the tank treads ending up like a double decker sandwich under the wings. The gauntlet things are useless and do nothing for me. They look silly as the launchers hanging off in tank mode. All in all I still prefer the Titans Return figure to this one.

Soundwave is very nice. I have the mold as Soundblaster and I liked the Siege space barge mode, so I figured why not. Looks nice and clean with nice yellow light piping.

Knock Out is pretty cool. I like his trident-like weapon. Nice reuse of the Jazz mold.

Hoping to find some more stuff tomorrow!

I got the Dark Troopers as well but BOY are they expensive. I don't see why they get upped to deluxe class rather than just standard, they don't come with a lot of accessories.

Agreed, I was going to get a platoon of them, but the deluxe price point was too much for that, and they don't feel as premium as I'd like to justify more than 2.

Got two SG Flamewars from Pulse Thursday and two SG Slicer with Exo-Suit Friday. Weird that Slicer has a purple Decepticon symbol but the Exo-Suit has a red one. I've said from the beginning that Slicer was probably meant to originally be a Selects figure and this adds some credibility to that theory. Though I said the same about Flamewar and she has a red one so who knows? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I was surprised they used a Deluxe box for two figures, would have thought they'd want both of them in the window.

Also got Core Ratchet in from Amazon thanks to the sale. He's a neat little figure, the guns are cool. Joints are a bit loose, but he'll hold a pose.

There's probably internal mixed signals and indecision going on here. I'm still inclined to think he was meant as part of the SG line. Double-duty shenanigans like this are nothing new with SG toys. See: Jazz, Thundercracker, Tracks (not planned that way, but) from the FunPub era. And in fact, I suspect that Road Rage would have been in the SG line had Target not claimed her.
