I had the same problem. I actually had to set him down and come back an hour later cuz I go so frustrated.
Anyway... regarding new tformer toys: I picked up Movie Voyager class Starscream, and also happened upon a stash of Classics Voyager class Jetfires. I was never able to find that guy in the stores, so I was super pumped to finally get him.

-Movie Deluxe Bumblebee. Not keeping it MIB of course, I've got it on display battling...
-Movie Deluxe Barricade. Great figure, though hard to transform back to vehicle mode, as the legs are VERY stubborn.
-Titanium Series Prime and Bumblebee. TRU exclusive, supermetal deco. VERY nice for 11 bucks.
and my personal favorite right now...
-Softimus Prime. YAY!

Wow. How insightful.
A post like that is nothing more than spam. If you want us to help you identify it, at least describe it or include a photo.
Yesterday, I bought a bottle of silver model paint and Voyager Ironhide on special. Time again for "1337's Honest Opinions":
Vehicle mode:
The truck is badass, no doubt about that. However, it isn't entirely accurate. I don't mind the 'weapons as gas tanks/running boards,' but I really don't like the size of the wheels. They're smaller than they should be, same for the mirrors and smokestacks. I don't care if the stacks are smaller on a truck like this, but the should be painted. I don't care if the mirrors aren't painted, but they should be the larger, rectangular mirrors that the actual truck has.
My main gripe is the lack of paint (and the red GMC logo's paint comes off easily). I bought the model paint for a reason - I'll be using it on his smokestacks, rims, mirrors, vent on the side of the nose, and running boards. I don't mind having to paint, but I can understand that some fans don't want to/feel like they shouldn't have to.
Transforming to Robot:
Not over difficult. Just be careful because the joints are tight and the instructions suck. And DON'T follow them about the legs! Pull the FOOT down, not the HEEL. You wouldn't want the break some of the best Automorph yet!
Robot Mode:
Again, badass. Strong-looking upper body and lower legs, however the rest of him just looks spindly. Tiny waist, arms, and upper legs.
The thing is, even with all of that waist-spinning to transform him, he has no waist joint. Hell, his chest is only connected to his torso by a weak post that frequently disconnects. The front of the truck as the shoulder pads looks surprising nice... only they don't lock onto anything when they're in V-formation. They just float there, dangling on springs.
His legs feature the automorph which is some of the best yet, when it works. It often requires a lot of tugging and pushing and it make me feel like I'm going to break it, which isn't good. Also, the Automorph kills all foot articulation, which I think is NOT worth it.
The head just is straight up ugly. It's like a bull or something. Just turn it around 180 degrees. It kinda looks like Soundwave or Grimlock! Those of you who think this guy should be Trailbreaker, here's your chance. Paint the 'visor' (that's the useless lightpipe) and the 'mouthplate' under it, and you're pretty much set.
Like the vehicle form, this robot severely lacks paint. There should be more of that dark metallic blue and gold, but there isn't. Hell, his fists don't even have the gold knuckles! Again, stuff we'll have to paint on...
The weapons really annoy me. Sure, they're big, but they look as if someone took the movie model weapons, pudged them up and shoved 4 barrels/missiles into them. And combining them to form something ulgier? Something that can hardly even shoot the puny missiles? FAIL. I would much rather have had accurate weapons (like the FAB version did), even if they didn't shoot. They could have easily made the right arm cannon spin and launch missles, instead of moulding the missiles onto the end of the gun and giving him 4 barrels. And you'd think they'd put some paint on the weapons!
Transforming back to Truck:
God damn, this a pain in the ass. Instructions are of no help, so you're on your own. Just remember that there are three holes on the arms where pegs on the robot waist and blue waist part plug into. Good luck.
Overall:
He looks badass in both modes, but really needs paint. I feel that this figure, like many others, is hindered by its gimmicks, which really is a shame. I'd rather NOT have an ugly combining firing gun if it meant having movie-accurate cannons. I'd rather move some panels myslef if it meant having an ankle joint.
Despite his shortcomings, I rather like him. Like Movie Bumblebee and your last girlfriend, they have many shortcomings/flaws which are annoying as hell, but you're willing to put up with them because they just look good.
