You should have made a new thread in the Non-TF Toys forum:

On youtube, there's barely anything and it's all in Japanese. These are not too expensives. Why not take your chances, buy it, and creat a review yourself? You'd be a bro. ;)

TAV Thunderhoof is just full of awesome. Hasbro wasnt short changing us when they said that the warrior figures would have the traditional complexity fans were expecting. I had more fun discovering him than the entirety of Combiner Wars Bruticus.

Saw the HASBRO version of that Thunderhoof in my local Kmart and thought it was ass-ugly. Doesn't help that I don't like the art style of that show at all, with rare exceptions.

However, seeing the TAK version, I really like it. I'm gonna grab that one alone with RID Takara Quillfire and Overlord (the spartan looking dude)

Image

I like both versions of Quillfire, who look awewsome.

But man, that Overlord, I was looking at him in the store the other day and the paint job is just ****. Then to add insult to injury you look on the side of the box/art and it shows him in the proper colours.
I've never seen the show, just like his look and Spartan style head/helmet. I mean I have a Spartan helmet tattooed on my arm, so I kind of really want to buy the better version of him.

Look at that beige blue body! It's like HASBRO just went "can't be bothered, just make him blue with no highlights". So lazy.

Fair enough. just joined the forums a couple days ago.

Looked for a relevant thread, but there was only 3rd party Transformers stuff.

This is neither 3rd party (it's Takara), nor KO, nor Transformers... so I didn't know where to post it, but seeing as this thread was active with people who know stuff posted here.
Better luck next time I guess.

Is there a proper delete option on these forums? I checked, but I'm not seeing one. Just removed all the text from my previous posts anyhow so they don't clutter up this thread.

Is there a specific thread for Transforming Takara toys that are not Transformers brand or should I just post whatever in that thread you suggested?

EDIT: I see on the main menu pull down tab that section (on my PC now), it didn't display properly on my tablet, which is only a small half size thing, not everything displays properly. I mean I did look first before posting here.

Hey Batfan! Welcome to the boards.

I had to do some digging, but I knew there was a thread in here for Shinkansen Henkei Robo.
Here you go.

http://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/takara-tomy-new-transforming-bullet-train-that-turns-into-a-shinkalion-robot-t103570.php

There is a search engine that can be found at the top of every forum page. 9 times out of 10 I usually find what I'm looking for, so feel free to dive in and use it.

Jump in and have fun. See you around the boards. ;)^

Heeeeee... :D

Car boot haul today! 2007 Voyager Prime (at the back and missing pieces cos i just bought it for parts)
Cybertron Optimus Prime base figure (missing a couple lil bits and looking at the wiki for it I see now there was a trailer at the car boot I didn't buy cos I didn't recognise it)
Cybetron Hot Shot
And the best find I ever did find of anything that could be found:
ORIGINAL G1 JETFIRE IN GREAT CONDITION FOR £2!!! Ok sure he's not got his gun or clip-on armor but it's still one hell of a steal. Made even more satisfying by the fact the seller didn't recognise it yet refused to sell some Energon figures cheap to another buyer cos the seller said they were worth much more on eBay. So what's this then? :P

Me and my friend had quite a buzy day. We went to a HUGE flea market at Saint Eustache and we found a lot of interesting things. On the way back, we took a dip at TrU. So I'll post my friend's haul as well.

For me, I found a junker Supreme Starscream for 25$CAN. Only the gun and keys were missing. No matter, it's for using the parts for a future custom.
I also got a Legacy Power Ranger White Tigerzord. That thing was a bit over 100$CAN with taxes, but well worth the money. It's the Power Ranger equivalent of a Masterpiece. It's my first PR figure ever and it's amazing! It full of diecast and solid paints. I really like the style and the feel of this brickish "G1" figure.
Image

My friend was lucky. At the flea market, he found (with my help) many loose and cheap TFs. At TrU, I influenced him to get himself an original combiner. They only had ONE Onslaught in a sea of Hotspots and Cyclonus. As for the deluxes, they only had 4 swindles and 2 Blastoffs. Guess what we did?

Image

Yup, my friend now have a general with his soldiers ready for action! And thanks to the new TrU pricings, that a combiner that cost only around 78$CAN with taxes.

Image
Image

The combined mode is very neat!

`Image

And let's not forget the rest that was found at the flea market. Most of these don't have their weapons but don't have any parts missing. Only around 4$CAN each. He got a pair of Bonecrushers, Animated Soundwave, amd the possibility to build his own MURDERBEE!

Image

Overall, it was a great day for the both of us. :APPLAUSE:

Thanks. I had him as a child but lost him to a former best friend so very happy to get another one and in such good condition for such little cost.

Had forgotten just how lovely his jet mode is. He really did make the original seekers look like such crappy toys (with nice jet modes granted)

@kanrabat: what the heck is a Murderbee? Is that referring to that Cyberfire Bumblebee? I am curious.

Just so you know, its not the Power Ranger equivalent of MP, its the equivalent of the Encore line. There is a whole line right now of rereleases of old molds (at slightly different scales) and they have diecast, just like the old toys did. Here is the latest rerelease: http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/mighty-morp ... 0195516567

Will, you are wrong here. This is defenitely the Power Ranger equivalent of the TF MP line. The articulation is certainly limited, but these are brand new molds designed to have the playability of the old toys while being perfectly show accurate. Plus, the quality is through the roof.

Compare the legacy version of Tigerzord with the original with this review:

The one you have shown is the Legacy Thunder Megazord, who is the MP version has shown here:

And the "g1" original:

And finally the one I may never have:

Funny that I go straight to the "MP" line to collect a new line of transforming toys.

Thanks for the link BTW. 25$ cheaper at Walmart than TrU is not too shabby.

Your mileage will vary. The Megazord now has fake sculpted wheels instead of having actual wheels. And plus, the Lecagy megazord is not a new mold. It's just the 2010 MMPR Dino Megazord toy that was sold for $30 at a time when Disney didn't want to make a new show and Saban hadn't bought the franchise back.

Ah damn I had two Cyberfire's but sold them cos I was trying to cut down my collection and I already still have 2007, 2010 and 2014 deluxe Bees. Didn't occur to me I could overload a Cyberfire with crazy weapons and have him as a sort of 'Shattered Glass' evil movie Bee. Damn...

If you get desperate, you can get a free KO one with KO OS Soundwave.
I have G1 Soundwave and this OS KO which is same height as G1 blaster. He comes a with a really nice KO Laserbeak that has minor differences from the original (G1, not the MP ones)

It's only $20 AU, ($15-17 US) you get two cassettes (the ravage is a bit crap), and all the usual Soundwave weapons, and the clip on backpack.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/No-retail-bo ... SwKtVWz7kq

I need a name for this guy... how about "Lesser Beak"?

Image

He lives on my PC desk with the shiny things.
Sadly, my original Laserbreak with blue tacked head has fallen apart somewhat.

Image

[above pic is KO Lesser Beak, he has the chrome on his weapon things which is SWEET!]

Just remembered my G1 Laserbeak (the one I've had for like 20 years) was in a draw with other blaster/soundwave cassettes.

Here he is one the left (small one) next to the OS KO on the right. No, he's not in camouflage mode, my desk is Optimus Prime primary red. You'd never guess from any of these pics I have a thing for superhero primary red and blue.

And there is poor old buzzsaw with a missing head, that's how I got it second hand, but it was free so you can't argue with that price. I also had two G1 Soundwaves, I kept the one in better knick and sold off my old floppy jointed one a few years back.

Sorry the pics a bit blurry, it's hard to get a decent close up of such small toys.

Image

One more go, it's night time, so the light is crap in here, still blurry but you get a better idea, the stickers look alright too.
You can't see his face in this pic, but he does have the eye and mouth indentations.
