I got a pretty nice haul over the past few days.
I got two TR Scourge and one of each of TR Blurr, Terri-Bull, Loudmouth, Crashbash, Galvatron and Sentinel Prime. I also got in Legends Skull with Batora, CW Onslaught, Go! Kenzan, Legion RID Bisk, and a lone Legends Tankette. Not to mention the special editions of 7th Dragon Code: VFD for 3DS, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 1 for Vita and a blue ammonite zord. Well, I guess I technically also got Legends Galvatron, Scourge and Blurr too but they're still in my stack waiting on a few more items.
I was messing around with Crashbash and Batora, switching their pieces around and they look pretty good with their pieces swapped. Crashbash is now all purple and Batora is now pink and grey. I did it because my Legends Skull is destined to be Megatron in December/January and now he will have a purple T-Rex as his partner. Then I was sitting there looking at Batora and it just kept reminding me of something. I finally realized it once I sat it next to the all purple T-Rex Crashbash. They now look like Skystalker and Cindersaur. That's when I looked up if there was going to be a blue one and was reminded that Overboard is being made. So once he comes out, I'm going to have the all purple Crashbash as Cindersaur, the pink and grey Batora as Skystalker and Overboard as Flamefeather.
I was worried about what I'd be doing for Megatron after that and then I noticed that the Legends Wipe that I had on preorder will be coming with a black and red T-Rex/dragon drone. I think I'll pick up a second Crashbash and mix the grey out with the red from Wipe's drone. That way the drone will be purple and red simulating the two main colors of Beast Wars Megatron's normal and Transmetal 2 forms as the alt modes match up anyway. Then again, I might just mix that second Crashbash's grey with Clobber's yellow and use that as Cindersaur and leave the all purple drone for Megatron still. If I had the option to make an all red one I'd go with that to have a red dragon to go against the Optimal Optimus colored drone that comes with Combobat.
I thought it was pretty cool that you can make all three of the Firecons from the Titan Master drones. Anyway though, Galvatron, Scourge, Blurr and Skull (who did still have loose hips and one thigh) are amazing figures. The Titan Masters and Bisk are a lot of fun. Sentinel Prime is pretty good but I wish the feet were better. I'm thinking about taking out one of the pins from the wing assembly on Sentinel and turning it into a drone of some sort for train and robot modes as I like how it can "perch" on his right shoulder like it's Laserbeak. CW Onslaught surprisingly holds together better than UW Onslaught in combined mode but he had very loose outward shoulder movement at the biceps of the robot arms around the screw posts in the shoulders. Needless to say by now but Kenzan isn't all that good but he was the last one of the standard six I needed and it was only $17 new. The combined modes ended up being better without Kenzan though but I did some tweaks to GoKenzan and it looks decent enough but not as good as GoGekisou. Now to wait for sales on Optimus ExPrime and the black repaints of Kenzan and Gekisoumaru. The ammonite zord is pretty boring but I needed the blue one still.
I really loved the Combiner Wars and Unite Warriors figures but so far, I like Titans Return and Legends more. These are some very good figures. Solid, good looking Transformers with fun transformations. I can't wait to get the rest. Especially the ones slated for next year and those rumored box sets.
I forgot the games. 7th Dragon is nice and solid but it's a tad on the easy side. Some of the major boss fights can force you into playing strategically but once you have your skills learned and know what works best, you don't really have to worry about much. I didn't care much for the ending though. Maybe there's a better one on the second play through but I won't know for a while. I only just started Trails of Cold Steel but it seems pretty good so far. I love that the game has English dubs. It's been a while since I played a game with English voice actors and it helps me get into the world better when I can understand what's being said.
