Another shopping spree with the wife, always fun. And this time she treated me with these:

Age of Extinction Generations Dinobot Slug
Age of Extinction Generations Scorn
Bart Smit has them in-store and I promised myself at least Scorn should I see them. Slug was a bit of an impulse buy since she was treating and I love Triceratops.
Now I have to look for a loose Mini-Con Triceradon since getting the TRU 2-pack is out of the question
They also had Bumblebee, but I already have so many of him!
Here's a word of warning to all you Dutch folks out there: they're not cheap! They cost a whopping €27.99 ($38!) a pop there. Look for cheap contacts first, or someone willing to treat you

That really is ridiculously expensive, would it work out cheaper just to import them?

It probably would, but shipping to Europe from the US is nothing to sneeze at either, not to mention import duties. At online stores things are no better, really, and I'm talking US imports.

Twenty five bucks for all that?
Animated Megatron, I can see going for less. I have him, and I regret ever getting him. Not sure what I was thinking when I got him.
As for the rest... not a bad haul.

I recently got in Botcon 2008 Banzai-tron. I'm really loving this figure, much bigger than I thought it'd be from pictures.
Eh, I'm gonna have to disagree. He looks good but I lost any want to buy one after I messed around with my friend's. Very uninspiring figure in hand, IMO.

I just graduated from high school about a couple weeks ago, and in celebration, I've been wracking up dough from almost everywhere. Most money I think I've ever had. I'll be doing my haul in parts, as I've yet to spend all the money yet. So here's part one!
Taking advantage of Toy "R" Us's "buy one, get one half off" deal and the $7.50 coupon toward an Age of Extinction movie ticket, I finally broke down and bought Generations: Age of Extinction Drift and Crosshairs. I have to say... they're okay, but they don't really catch my attention as much as I thought they would.
There was an issue with Crosshairs right away, where his right coattail piece wouldn't plug into his torso properly, but I fixed that by cutting away a little bit of the rubbery piece's tab. It's not perfect, but it's a much, much, MUCH better fit than it was previously. Also, he's super fiddly when I attempt to transform him into car mode, always having an attitude when trying to get the arms to get into their positions. Second attempt to get him into car mode, I finally got the left arm to behave, but the right arm refuses to tab into the coattail piece.
EDIT: Finally found out the issue as to why his arm wouldn't tab in correctly: there was too much material put onto the arm, which restricted moving the arm into its place. I cut and shaved down a little bit of the arm as well as the tab that connects the arm to the coattail down, and now it fits.
Drift is the better of the two. The robot mode just kicks ass (but not anywhere close to the glory of Generations Springer), and he has some nice posability. I like his larger swords, not so much the smaller knives swords. At first, I had issues trying to get his shoulders to line up in vehicle mode, but I seem to have that fixed as well. I like his car mode, but it just feels too small. Had it been ten percent larger, it would've been killer.
As I stated before, Age of Extinction's not really capturing me just yet. Maybe once I see the film, I'll like them more. So far, I only plan on getting Hound, Lockdown, and Stinger (if he looks good). Not even the Dinobots are capturing my interest (once again, that may change once I see the film and like their characterizations).
Part two will have something super duper mega special to me... something that'll make me scream to the stars because it's a masterpiece of toy engineering. Was that subtle enough?

Part II of my graduation haul!
Saw Age of Extinction yesterday morning/afternoon, and it was thrillingly awesome! Was so pumped about them, I stopped on by at my local Target to see if there were any Dinobots there (I didn't want them to begin with, but the film, goddamn it, made me want at least the on-screen four). Walked into the Transformers section, and it was a literal gold mine there: so many of the Silver Knight Optimus Prime and Grimlock sets, as well as the first time seeing Generations Shrapnel Skrapnel and Whirl! I ended up leaving the place with a Silver Knight Optimus and Grimlock set, Shrapnel, Whirl, and Scoop (since I've been itching to get him for a while now).
I got the OP and Grimmy set purely to repurpose Grimlock into the Classics shelf (you can not tell me that you wouldn't, either. That thing was made with the Classics shelf in mind), and now I'm itching to get a couple of the third party sets to make him the ultimate Classics Grimlock. I was also surprised at how much I liked Optimus, too: with the pack-in Generation One Rampage sword and Grimlock's shield, he looks really awesome. When this set was first revealed, I was thinking about just ditching him, but now I've changed my mind. He's here to stay for a while.
I knew I'd like Shrapnel and Reflector, but I didn't think I'd like them this much. He's much bigger, chunkier, and bulkier than I thought he'd be, and his insect mode is pleasingly semi-Deluxe sized. Reflector is freaking adorable, though I wish the handle was on the bottom of the camera as opposed to the top. They're not the Generations Deluxe figures I've always wanted done, but they tickle my yes-please button just as well as Springer has. Bring on Bombshell and the possible inclusion of Kickback into the Generations Legends scale!
Whirl is awesome. I heard horror stories about the black joints that enable him to do his chicken legs, but thankfully, mine doesn't have that issue (though these joints are worryingly tight). Wish he didn't have so many of these dull black weapons, but beyond that, I really like him. Only thing I didn't like was the sticker sheet: though fun to stick them on him and have that feeling of "Hey guys, I did that", the stickers were really hard for me to get off the sheet. All in all, I guess now I'm pretty much obligated to get Roadbuster whenever he comes out so he can chill out with Whirl.
Scoop and friends are... okay. They're not as great as I thought he'd be, but he's still pretty nifty. Though there were some quality issues on his head: though the face is mostly painted, there's just a little sliver underneath his optics that they missed, so it looks like Generations Metroplex and his visor, but on a much smaller scale. Also, there's no screw that holds his head together, so I accidentally popped it open and snapped off his right eye, which fell to the carpet, never to be seen again. I'm not going to return it over that, since it looks super inconspicuous unless you bring a torch right next to his head, but that sure was a shame that it happened.
So yeah... today was a good day for me.
MP-11 Starscream is en-route from TF Source's warehouse in Minnesota. It'll be several days before he arrives. Several long, tantalizing, agonizing days...

I got AoE Strafe and Slash yesterday.
One of the ball joints on Slash's leg pops off when you move the leg forward. Anyone know how to fix that? Like, when the ball works its way out of the socket?

I just take the joint off and apply a little bit of scotch tape on the ball. If you use my fix, don't get the cheap stuff that only lasts for like a day.

Got AoE Hound and received Flamewar, Brimstone, Hunter, and the Clones in the mail. Now I just need the non-attendee set I split with Rodimus Prime to come in.

Finally got my Generations Whril! There was only one at Walmart and even if it was at full 30$+taxes, I didnt dare wait for a sale in case I'd never seen it again.
In another thread, someone point out his reprolabel sewt. I'm tempted.
