Hey Canadian homies, isn't Ages 3 and UP a Canadian shop? Are their prices and shipping any more reasonable, or is it the exchange rate that gets you every time?
Not only that, but being Canadians who buy from a Canadian shop, they have to charge us all the federal and provincial taxes too.

At the in-laws for 2nd Crimus. My mother-in-law is too good to me. I'm finally in the MP Prime club.

Edit: I should say, the MP-10 club.

I just got this sleek ba$tard: Takara Legends Gelshar (Sky-byte)
This is by far the definitive version of the mold only because the Hasbro version's deco is nothing close to the RID character from the show. The original toy is more accurate than that simply for the shade of blue and the fact that it has the asymmetric chest.
Maybe it's the greatly improved deco, but I don't get the negativity for this guy. This, to me, is one of the best examples of an upgraded mold. It is very similar to the original, but offers a much sleeker design with less kibble and improved paneling. At the same time, he is still nice and hefty where he should be, such as his tail arm and his torso, with a very beast wars head. Also, I will ALWAYS take alt mode integration over fake parts. And this is , technically, the very first original mold for Sky-byte. I get people saying the original is better than the hasbro generations release, but this Legends version takes the cake.

Anyway, I found a lone Construcbots AoE Hound at my local Winners for only 8$. So, I bought it immediately. It's the only one they had and I never saw that toy in any stores ever before! Why non-dinobot AoE Construcbots sets were so badly distributed? It's like no one ever had them!
As for the hound set, I was blown away. THE THING TRANSFORM DIFFERENTLY than the previous Construcbots! Also, the set have plenty of paint aps, the headsculpt is fantastic, and even the vehicle mode is decent. If you ever find one in the wild, grab him.
I'm too lazy to take a picture. So, have some stock footage.

My (not) MP Swoop arrived the other day.
And in other news, while not a toy haul exactly, I almost doubled my shelf space a couple of a days ago

It's a work in progress, changed it about 6 times in the last 2 days, so will probably rearrange it again soon.

nice pics! you got it from lena right? how are the paint apps? i was a tad leery buying a skybyte from lena since the paint apps are the most important part.william-james88 wrote:I just got this sleek ba$tard: Takara Legends Gelshar (Sky-byte)

the mold itself, i wasnt thrilled with but dont dislike by any means. his right arm with the fixed wrist really bugs me, and the thin legs to a lesser extent. his beast mode, even though stuck in that perma-pose, is amazing my opinion. and id keep him in shark mode on the shelf anyways, which displaying in alt mode is rare for me. its just an awesome looking shark.

You bet I did, at an amazing price too. And the paint apps are freaken phenominal! Especially on the shark head (ou will LOVE this). And the legs do their job well. I dislike the original mold because it's very back heavy but this guy stands beautifully. As I said, this deco is the definitive version of the mold. I really feel that down the line, the Hasbro version will be forgotten but the Takara version will be desired as the placeholder for the character in one's RID collection. Like I told Kanrabat, this is a lot like the difference between Takara and Hasbro's versions of classics Rodimus, where one is clearly a more accurate deco.
I am really wondering what is up with the Hasbro color scheme. It's so off from the character model, is there any version where the robot chest is not 2 different colors?

Today, I somehow strangely found myself paying $90 for a MISB Combiner Wars Superion (!)
It's really not bad at all! I am actually pretty lucky to have it already.
Of course, it's a bit smaller and more simplistic than Uranos, but it works!
I'd say it's about the same size as FOC Bruticus, but waaay sturdier and much more interesting.
I like to bulk it up by bending a wing here, or switching the limbs or weapons.
The individuals that make him up are pretty good too.
My recent TF purchases lately have happily given me no regrets.
I really don't say this much around here, but...
Great job Hasbro!

So I picked up Legion Strongarm today. She's actually pretty fun, surprisingly poseable and pretty good looking. I wish she came with a weapon though- oh well, to Shapeways! I was considering the Deluxe/Warrior class figure but the fact it was double the price coupled with how flimsy it looked had me going "slag no".
Ha ha Transformers go brrrrr

WJ, I thought this back when you asked this question (exactly a month ago today) but, I wanted to wait to see if Santa would deliver, so I could confirm it for myself. He did, and I'm pretty sure this is the answer to your question.

Sorry for the wait.

Pee-brain Prime is kinda wonky. Ultra Prime is next to hideous.
Quite the opposite of CW Superion, yet I'm glad to have it.

My post is a little late but I got: Arcee, CW Prime, Dragstrip, Brainstorm, Maniaking (not-Galvatron), AoE Galvatron, Chromia, and Armored Knight Optimus Prime.
I have been into transformers since 1984.
While I love G1 I also love new innovations and takes on the characters.
I prefer official Hasbro releases of stuff for the most part
I'm not a huge fan of Japanese original Transformers media or designs.
It's easier for me to say which are my LEAST favorite toy lines: Beast Machines, Robots in Disguise.
TFCon List: Classics Skywarp, General Optimus, BW Airrazor, Transmetal Tarantulus, Alternity Prime, Fire Convoy
