My name is Joe and I am new here. I just recently started collected Combiner Wars and am loving them. So far I have purchased:
Voyager Optimus
Voyager Silverbolt
Deluxe Air Raid
Deluxe Breakdown
As of right now, Breakdown is my favorite, and I love his sword/gun

What are your favorites? I could use some help prioritizing which Combiner Wars figure to get next.

Hello Joe and welcome to the boards. You got some pretty cool stuff. I find Menasor is a great combiner. I would suggest getting Motormaster and Dragstrip for sure. I dont know if you need your combiners to have the same team they had in the old 80s cartoon. It seems you might need some more deluxes to make a combiner. I find Streetwise to be the best car coming out of COmbiner Wars so far but I dont know if you would want to get it instead of the other cars that are usually teamed with Motormaster (like Dead End). Your choice. I agree! Dead End is awesome, down to his sweet exhaust pipe weapon and overall look/poseability, and that alt mode is really cool.

Haha, thanks! They killed me at customs though. Amiami used such a huge box that it was unavoidable.

How so? I transformed him from car to robot perfectly without instructions in under 8 minutes. He's quite intuitive and unlike the Alternity Seeker mold, no random parts pop off and everything peg in where it should be. Second to Optimus, this is my favorite Alternity.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I also middlemaned one for my sis's boyfriend, who is a bit into Transformers himself. He prefer the realistic carformers in the deluxe scale so that TF is kinda of a holy grail for him... It's also the most expensive TF he ever bought at 80$CAN shipped!

I just didn't have the patience for him. Even with the instructions, I had trouble turning him from vehicle to robot, especially with the seats and the roof. I actually threw him across the room, breaking the passenger side mirror off the door, I got so annoyed. After fixing that, I ended up transforming him back to car mode and selling him. I also had the red Alternity Optimus, but I never even bothered transforming him before I sold him as well.

Also, I know I'm way behind, but I just received my Combiner Wars Dragstrip, and Brake-neck is not far behind. Finally my Menasor will be complete.

Why, a 100% complete G1 Jetfire in box, of course!

Every single parts is there. Labels are perfects,nothing broken save a tiny weeny tab on a arm armor part, nothing rusted, just a yellow leg... yellowing covered by a leg armor anyway. The box is pretty beaten up, but the foams are there and unbroken and pretty clean. Even the manual and the goddamn red filter is there!

Also, 1984 G1 Jetfire have very impressive engeneering far ahead of it's time! Damn, it was the Holy Grail I never knew I wanted! :shock:

Just look at it next to his descendant. So GLORIOUS!

Yeah, those early Macross Valkyries were pretty sweet, especially for their time.

Happy Convoy day! Heres my thoughts:

TT MP10:
Those often complained about dull eyes? AMAZING. I wasn't aware, but they're clear blue plastic but without the proper light piping to make dazzle. So they can easily appear dull, but in the right light and angles they look stunning! And overall I really prefer TT's over Hasbro's. It just feels more polished. I can't believe I passed on its original release.

UW-01 Superion
Soooooo worth it. While it was recently brought to my attention that the whites are in fact not uniform between all members, it still is an amazing looking figure. TT really puts lots of love and attention into their figures, and it shows on this guy.

Anyways, I can't wait to try and shove him in CW Magnus when I get home :twisted:

I will admit, I was a bit underwhelmed at first with them as individual bots. I had never experienced any of these molds yet so to see that they all had the same transformation (very reminiscent of G1 and of CW Offroad) was not the most exciting thing (especially compared to TAV Drift (sorry to rub it in)). But then something magnificent happened, I combined them. And BAM! I am so impressed with how this Takara version comes together. Everything seems spot on. The jets work really well as limbs and I adore the Superion Torso. Probably the best Torso that ever was, that transformation was to die for and seeing all those colours come together was magical. Especially seeing that yellow being replaced by Gold on his legs. He made it easier to swallow the customs charge (did you get stuck with customs too?).
