For some reason, the takara version was way cheaper to get than the hasbro version (issued in the Universe line) which are identical. They each come individually boxed and they both have painted details instead of stickers, unlike the initial release, so I have no clue why the Hasbro versions are double the price. And I preffer the Takara box so it's a win all around. They were 5$ US each and 5$ to ship each, so 60$ all around and I wont regret it. These little trains are great!
1992 4Ever!!!!!
Very nice! We need more train Transformers (and a full sized, CW, train combiner!).

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.
Hell yeah, score! I applied for and was approved for a TRU credit card on the spot, and it paid for it, so it didn't even come out of my bank account. I have to pay it back of course. But 6 payments of $30 are better than $150 at once.Cobotron wrote:SCORE!!!!!Rodimus Prime wrote:... The BIG GUY himself! ...
Rodimus Prime wrote:So I walk into my local TRU today, hoping to pick up a couple of Legends class figures, namely Skywarp and Groove, and what do I find? The BIG GUY himself! They had 3 Devastators on the shelf! So of course I picked 1 up, along with Skywarp. After my 15% discount, they were $155 richer, and I am a hell of a lot happier!

Let's hope they did the same mistake. If there is no labels at all over the pegs of the Exclusive TFs, you'll be out of luck.

Ok, Oh and could you send some pics of it once you unwrap it so we can see it better. There arent any in hand pics around since they didnt get to the US yet. Could you let us know your thoughts, since I heard the mold didnt tab well in robot mode.

But its only the box art, do you keep those?

Yes, but I'm starting to feel its irrational. So question for the group: Do you keep the boxes? If so is it worth it? And, how do you store them?
I was just thinking today that I should either ditch them or toss the plastic and break the boxes down. But without the plastic insert, what good is the box?
Advice, suggestions, thoughts?

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the figure itself. Nice tight joints and everything tabs in just fine. Paint apps are meh. Shoulder cannon is a bit floppy. On the whole, I'm quite pleased.
My name is Cobotron. Don't forget it!carytheone wrote:Some jerks on this website (who shall remain nameless, but they know who they are) talked me into it
Kind of same as Will. I only keep boxes whole if they are Japanese toys. Especially MPs. I do however have a file cabinet where I file all instructions, card backs, and anything bigger than Deluxe, I cut the back off the box and file it away. It's really become more habit than anything else, but some day when I'm 6 feet under my daughters have a full record of everything, and can get rich off my dirty habit.carytheone wrote: So question for the group: Do you keep the boxes?

I did actually come here to post a haul.
This guy gets so much love here in the forums, I decided to pull the trigger on a nice little Buy It Now price that included shipping, that Will hipped me to. Thanks Mr. James.![]()

I'm quite please with him so far. I hope to get in some pics of him tonight. You guys didn't tell me he has that metallicy plastic I'm so fond of.Glad you got him. You won't be sorry.
Mine is also more out of habit. I have a hard time throwing stuff away. I'm not a hoarder! I decided this morning to take baby steps and get rid of all the plastic and break the boxes down. They should only take up a fraction of the space. Also, ditto on MP, Takara or any other really interesting stuff.Kind of same as Will. I only keep boxes whole if they are Japanese toys. Easily one of my favorite Prime figures. You should find his transformation to be quite satisfying. I don't need/want the FE version, but I wouldn't mind getting to transform it at least once.pic of PRID Vehicon
I too am curious.william-james88 wrote:SO, how do you find him? You MUST tell us
Whoa! He IS really nice. I've never been a fan of "panel forming", and the PRID toys are full of it, but the more of them I acquire, the more it grows on me. When it works well it really works. It really works for Vehicon. I love how the whole freakin' car folds up into his legs and he is still rockin' the sexy-cool high heel Prince boots.carytheone wrote:I too am curious.william-james88 wrote:SO, how do you find him?
