Not for me. Protectobots were plentiful. Almost no Combycons to speak of, very few Sky Reign limbs, and I don't think Lynx himself appeared in the wild-Kanrabat- wrote:In Canada, the Defensor wave was just a blip on the radar. A TONS of Hotspots, but the deluxes just went and go extremely fast. So fast that I had two pay the price and import 2 First Aid, legend Groove, and Streetwise from the USA!
The one that we did get a whole lot of was Superion (First wave) and Bruticus (last wave). Plenty of Optimus Maximus too. Then the Skylinx wave was just a blip too.
Ah, the randomness of toy distribution!

It's expensive and extortionate; can't deny that... but I'm a student, this was a great haul, and it was a special occasion for a different (personal) reason. I felt it was justified
Congrats on the haul. Similar to you, I also started collecting last year. Given the stuff that's come out last year and this year, I feel like we started at a great time.
And sorry for the pizza lol. Let me know if you're ever in NYC and I'll direct you to some real pizza (and bagels).

Definitely, helps that most all the characters I'm interested in picking up - a few combiners, MTMTE characters + whoever looks fun and interesting - are largely from 2014 onwards. There's not many before then; like... Battle in Space Cyclonus, Generations Drift... Red Alert?

Finally got around to picking this guy up:

Even though it is the exact same figure, it's amazing how much better Ratchet wears the mold rather than Ironhide.

Also probably helps that the design looks a bit more like a doofy - but not too doofy - guy rather than a bruiser war veteran.

Even though Rachet looks better I'll go with old Ironsides when I make the jump on that mold, probably...

No, with my job, I spend a lot of time in my car, so it is typically where I open new figures.

secondhand, but in pristine consition, Ultra Magnus, and picked up a new Powerglide too.
Also spotted a Hasbro Superion set, but it was pricey at €100,- so I'm gonna have to think about that. If I can find a Takara set for that price, I'll prefer Takara.
Want list:

I can understand the itch to want to open a snazzy new figure in the car but I have a track record for losing pieces in the seat
I've been trying to decide on Ironhide or Ratchet. It sounds like ratchet is the winner?

Its a good mold, you wont go wrong either way. Pick your favourite character between the two. I picked Ironhide, no regrets.

It's a magic mold in how everything just folds together.
So I did my weekly wander into K-Mart today, not expecting anything. They'd moved a bunch of toys to the front of the store where they normally have sales on, wander for a look ... no special pricing, obviously just showing stuff off.
But I did notice a new RID Quilfire (who actually looked better than my TT version I thought) so I decided to check out the main toy section to see if there were other new RID figures. Nope ... but what I did find were the special price tickets!
So instead of paying $25AU each, I paid $20AU each and snapped up Blurr and Scourge. I've been on the fence about them for a while (because I have the Generations versions and felt they were sufficient) but it was Kurona who said something along the lines of "Blurr is nothing like his G1 self" and that tipped me over the fence.
TL:DR - I got TR Blurr and Scourge.
