Just had the pleasure of opening up my brand new MP Ultra Magnus. And WOW! He is incredible and totally worth it.

Also, just picked up the steel book for The Transformers Movie.

Yup I did. I ordered it MOSC on eBay from a store called Past Generation Toys for $180 shipped and it came very fast.

They aren't. Especially for y'all Mericans. Your dollar and the Yen are equal right now, but not the CAD. If you get pre-order prices at stores like Amiami, buy more than just one figure (I usually buy the full wave) to make the shipping worth it. All said and done, they should end up costing less than double your retail Hasbro's.

They had Blaster and Powermaster Prime in Toys R Us in Cambridge the other day. I passed on both easily. Pm Prime I want the Takara version. And Blaster is just a bit of a joke. I'm not paying £50 for a figure far too big for the character it's of and who is blocky, and turns into a blocky boombox or a really terrible 'base' mode and his overpriced (£11 each) minions are horribly designed (particularly the animal ones). I would have far preferred a Voyager class figure that would have been more appropiate size and only £25 or so. And maybe have him store TR head dudes in his chest instead maybe? A little Steeljaw who turns into a tiger head could have been neat. My search continues for the ideal Blaster figure for my Smelting Pool tale fondness. Oh yeah and they Sentinel Prime there which forced me to put on my sunglasses indoors.

In other news I got RotF Scout Skystalker for £1.99 (plus a couple quid postage) on eBay so that was nice as I used to have him and RotF Mindwipe years ago and was forced to sell them and missed them ever since.

You know what? I never used to get hit with customs from anywhere but the States. But my last two to come from overseas hit me just as hard. It's a trend I'm not liking

My incoming Skystalker can sit upon your Strafe... but they probably won't what with being opposite factions but maybe it happens in the dark and they mistake each other for their partners of the exact same shape and sillouhette. :O

Aw you're right. I thought the yellow and white one went with Strafe but i look it up on TFWiki and it says that is Sunspot, a Decepticon. All the Skystalker redecoes are 'cons. Ah well. Could just buy Sunspot and stick Autobot insignias covering his Decepticon ones.

Just looked it up and... Sunspot would look pretty good with Strafe! Strafe is on my lost light shelf, so Sunspot would go good there too considering the lack of personality and A or B list character status

Surprisingly I don't. So now I do. I don't have time to transform them, but the Internets can answer that. There is also a way to combine them in bot mode that I have taken the time to figure out yet that looks really nice.

Those molds being discussed are some of my all time favourites. I got Strafe first and hunted Sunspot down just so they could chill together.... but I didnt like the result. When connecting them the colours clash so much that you can then tell these 2 releases were never meant to be combined together. And while Laserbeak is out there, he is harder to find than the rest since he never got a release at the big box retailers in the US since he was initially a GDO asia market exclusive. He was released in the Us but it wasnt a standard release, I dont know the details too well. he never did see a release in Canada.

Then that last package must have been pretty pricey. Was it from amiami or HLJ? I know amiami changed their shipping policy so mail above 8,000 yen must be registered (aka, not under our government's radar).

Which might end if the US elects someone who's entire campaign has been about imposing new regulation to ensure things be made and bought in the US.

Wow, Strafe & Sunspot look great together especially in combined robot mode. The colours compliment each other really well. It has me kinda wishing I bought that cheap Strafe I saw sell on eBay a while ago. I passed on it cos I'm not a fan of opposite factions sharing molds and that mold is Mindwipe first (am still hugely fond of the fan-made bat mode that makes him a successful triple changer) but having seem him combine with Sunspot like that definitely has me tempted.
