I am a massive sucker for insignia stickers on the hood. If it's just this big hood and there's no insignia there it's just wrong to me; you have to put an insignia sticker there lol

Yeah, I'm not a fan of G1 Bee but I love his Goldbug persona from the Marvel comics both US and UK (despite them having very different plots as to how he became Goldbug) or you could pretend it's IDW Bug who was never Bee at all (from what I know. An IDW reader may have to confirm that)?


Speaking of the UK version of events:

I'm getting slight RoboCop vibes from this... DH kills Bee, only for Bee to be rebuilt into a new form... and hunt DH.

Yeah, the Throttlebots appeared in Spotlight: Metroplex quiiiiite a few years back with a Goldbug who wasn't Bumblebee. And then recently Bumblebee got upgraded into Goldbug in Dark Cybertron because Hasbro asked them to advertise the toy; but he kept getting called Bumblebee because it wasn't exactly an upgrade and they just said they were using 'Goldfire' technology which is what the toy was called... tl;dr Hasbro always makes a mess of things in fiction.

But yeah, Goldbug generally looks kinda cool. I could do that.

The combiner isn't as solid as I'd hoped, but he is big and badass. Separately they're brilliant as well. Gold, green, and white are the best (don't remember their names) but Wideload is quite possibly the most frustrating transforming toy I've ever handled

Jeez. Ok for the record my Goldbug is definitely the Marvel comics version and with the Death's Head origin as opposed to the GI Joe one.

Cool, even if I don't intend to combine them I'd like at least a couple more. Rollbar (green) looks very appealing to me in that group shot above. Green and rugged.
