My limit is usually to pay for an older loose figure the price I would have bought it for MOSC back in the day. Like that at worse I tell myself, its what I would have paid for it then and I would have taken it out of the box then too, so its all good. But for this lockdown I paid more than what it went at retail and that didnt make it as good a deal in my book. Glad you think I did alright

Nice! What made you grab a Goldatron? I was actually surprised how much I liked the gold and purple

I have been enjoying the MP Diaclone repaints and something about the blueish-purple pieces and the gold deco kind of scratched that itch.
Definitely getting the new MP Megs as well but thought this was a good contrast piece.; not just in color but scale contrast.
I can see why the scale change happened for MPs; in bot mode, i keep getting a marionette vibe, not enough to bother me but definitely a first impression.
Otherwise, I am pretty happy with big Megs.
Glad I got him cheaper than he first appeared online but now really looking forward to 2.0 and the comparisons between the 2.

As a G1 fan, I can honestly say I don't hate the train mode. I thought I would, but I've accepted it.

I have a thing for old scrapped concepts being made available (Lion Alpha Trion, Silver ROTF Voyager Megatron, Classics Rumble/Frenzy) so him having the storm bringer design that had looked awesome makes me quite happy. Its not as great as resurecting a Transtech design but pretty cool none the less.

Also, while you might not care, here are more fun things about the train mode. It resembles an armoured train, which are usually symetrical like that (at least in concept).



Sure, its not a fun locomotive, but it fits the whole Neo G1 look many of these toys have. Just giving you all the reasons I used to tell myself it was an ok take on the character

I dont know if you have Sentinel Prime, but the way this mold is designed makes it super fun to fiddle withl. All the panels work so well and its very dynamic yet simple.
