Over-indulged myself a bit with some sales and bargain prices today.

Transformers were buy 1 get 2nd half price so even though I just wanted Hot Rod and Clobber I got a couple others (Triggerhappy and Apeface) even if I just plan to sell them on later.

The fake at the back is a £9.99 knock off of the 3rd party Sixshot. I've never been fond of the character or his toys but this shall do nicely as my interdimensional big bad to unite my G1 and Bayverse figures (and since he's in black and his head resembles Optimus I shall just call him Nemesis... but not Prime)

(other figures shown are TNBA Batman and Robin for £7.99 each usually £19.99 each and Batman is the later revised one that fixes the original release issue and there's two Dangermouse figures for £1.97 each cos I gotta represent the british cartoon legends that is Cosgrove Hall)

Haven't opened the package but he seems kinda boring to me (and I don't like the guns folding up on the arms, hated that on the G1 toy too) and I already sold off my opened Hardhead, Chromedome and Highbrow and have Legends Scourge for sale on eBay. I kept Legends Blurr cos he goes well with Gen Arcee and now Titans Hot Rod. Triggerhappy doesn't really fit anywhere in my collection. He's great for a G1 character collector but I'm more picky and just like to form my own squads of G1 and Bayverse TFs.

I know its a much more pricey option, but if you like toys that look good together, Legends Blurr works so damn well with MP Hot Rodimus, giving it that Season 3 vibe. Titans Hot Rod works well for a movie cast, but since he gets taller as Rodimus, you need that added height for a season 3 look in the team.

Thanks, I almost did buy a KO MP Hot Rod to go with Springer but I don't really like the cartoon accuracy as it's too simplified and plain for my tastes and I like details (one reason I like movie-toys so much) also he just seems too big compared to Blurr and Arcee for me. Though now I have the issue of Springer being too large compared to the other three (if anyone knows of a downscaled Deluxe size KO of the Voyager then let me know please

) I might make some paint improvements on my Titans Hot Rod (I want the front lower legs in grey for example) and the balljoints connecting the thighs to the hips on my figure are kinda loose
(I still have an unfinished Voyager Hot Rod from Springer actually too, that can be my Rodimus if necessary)

And I'm not a fan of the cartoon much anyways especially Season 3 (oh Grimlock and Galvatron why did they ruin you so?). Your collection looks cool though.

Have to say going from pics that I like Triggerhappy's jet mode though I still hate those long white guns. They look bad in both modes.

He is asking if either company will release a Rodimus Prime toy, which means Hot Rod in his Prime form. The MP is still just Hot Rod (and it's called Hot Rodimus).

To answer your question NYC, theres no way of telling. There are no rumours going towards that and for some reason, Hasbro is more obsessed with the movie than it is with the actual season 3. Hence why it seems to like the idea of having a deluxe hot rod being towered by Galvatron (and being smaller than Prime). As for Takara, they let another company do a Rodimus Prime for them already (in the cloud line), so they technically already have a voyager Rodimus Prime.

For my present to myself this month I went ahead and ordered CW Devastator. I would've gone with the Takara UW version, but my budget would've severely been in horrible shape for the remainder of the month. I'm looking forward to having Deva though finally, either way.

I mean, if you wanted a Rodimus Prime voyager sized, you'd want a good one that is generations and therefore afordable, hence "there really hasn't been a recent official RP figure, right" was what I was getting at
