I currently have the iPad-like Soundwave coming thanks to my younger sis, and that egg-sized 3P Quintesson coming in the mail - the latter should look great with the Legends sharkticon horde I have (total of 3)!

I do like Soundwave's TR face - the only reason I won't be getting him is cuz I bit the bullet on the MP Asia reissue.

Honestly, if you have the Hasbro MP Soundwave, it's pointless to have the TR Leader and the "iphone tapes". Having the MP Hasbro Soundwave myself, I really don't feel the need to own "close enough" Soundwave. Especially because I already own TR Blaster.

However, anyone who don't have the cash or are unwilling to pay for the MP, the TR is a great substitute.

I was resigned to owning TR SW a while ago despite not loving it. I was so happy when the MP reissue was announced. I agree that you don't need both (unless you're a completionist).

My brother got the Blaster version, so it's only fitting that I get the superior one anyway! Also I would have gotten MP Soundwave if I had the money at the time. Oh well, at least with TR Soundwave I can give him Brawn's face!

I did something very bad at the local TRU

Just perusing when I saw a batch of boxes. Hb boxes and the TRU boys in blue was just unpacking them.

Sky Shadow, 3xCh Megatron and 3xCh Optimus, Doublecross,Topspin,TmSlugslingerTriggerhappy (my bad ), TmPerceptor,TmHotrod,Tm Kup, TRBRawn,TRBumblebee, TRBroadside and TRChase.!!!!!! Fresh from their HB boxes prison! I couldn't help myself and got the following (so much for waiting for the Takara versions )

1.Brawn
2.Perceptor
3.Kup
4.Hotrod
5.Broadside

Good thing I still had some self controll or else I'd have gotten Skyshadow!

Just opened Brawn. Awesome awesome AWESOME! HB hit the ballpark with him. I wonder what else Takara can do to make him even more awesomer?!

P.S. Aside from the Gnaw I purchased from ebay, I found one lonely sharkticon in the stand and got him too. Now I have two and hopefully if Takara will release its own, I'll make him THE Gnaw/sharkticon leader.

When I went to Asia last year for work, the only day I got to look at TFs was on the last day....but then we had to rush to the airport because of my lead's hangover and late wake-up.

Got a bunch of charity shop TFs all missing lil bits or missing most bits (got some DOTM Crankcase limbs for some reason). Does anyone know anything about this DOTM Bumblebee? As in why does it have silver paint in parts and black toes (though the black is wearing away). My own DOTM Bee didn't have those so which release is this?

I can't find anything on it, not even as a Takara release. I'm guessing it's custom painted, especially with how the toe paint is chipped.

Yeah, I really don't know. The black under the bumper(?) of the chest bit has the same sorta wear and that part IS on the other versions of the toy. It's a strange one. And no it definitely wasn't me adding the silver with my sharpie. This one came from the charity shop (as did fragments of another DOTM Bee, the already mentioned remains of DOTM Crankcase and a Generations Drift missing his left leg). It's a weird one. Shame this Bee is missing the car pnael off his left thigh...

here's another view of it showing there's silver applied to a lot of the lower torso details too.


Hm, the added silver lights look a lil messy close up so maybe it is a custom. Still odd to find it in the charity shop. Or maybe deemed worthless by the owner cos of the missing thigh panel. Ah well, I like it even though I already got a complete DOTM Bee (with leg paint added by me, different to this one)

Gnaw is seriously very cute and cuddly yet bitey and deadly. His robot mode is kinda shite, but the sharkticon mode is the best
