The Botcon Rainmakers? That is an excellent and underrated set of figures.

Why before? Watch both and bite whichever you find a deal on first. I almost never buy anything unless its below average aftermarket prices. I watch a lot of stores, have probably over 50 saved searches on eBay. S'alotta work, but damn has it gotten me some amazing pieces

I am gonna guess hated. Which is too bad, because I actually like that mold well enough.

Hate is much too strong of a word. I don't care for it much, but my initial response to it was pretty negative. After meddling with it a few more minutes, I think Ravage is alright at what he's doing, but I don't think it's a very good figure.

And we don't all have to have the same thoughts on any given figure, as we all know. My being not too keen on him doesn't have to impact your enjoyment of him.

Yes. Rumble and Frenzy are nice but feel flimsy, but the birds are most excellent. They can't all be winners, and I'll take a less than stellar Ravage when the other two molds/four figures are as good as they are.

Pieced together this lil haul today after a haircut. Almost got RID Ratchet as well, but I don't like how hollow that mold is. Though if I have a bit more cash and see him again I'll probably snag him anyway.






I almost didn't get Bisk either, but I just had to have those blasters of his! So good.

Got TR Mindwipe and Vorath today at Walgreens on my trip there. Not a bad figure. I enjoy it a bit.

So my local K-Mart finally got the memo about putting TF's on clearance, unfortunately it's the middle of school holidays and well, I work. So by the time I got there this little guy was the only Minicon left. So who was I to leave him on his own to be snapped up by some horrible little child that will destroy him in a matter of hours?

I mentioned a couple weeks ago how I was given that flip n change Drift and reminded me I wanted the Deluxe figure too but was a bit expensive on eBay brand new. Got lucky with a 2nd hand one with instructions and packaging and stuff for just £6 including postage so I'm happy.


I didn't realise Hot Rod's head was in the picture. I'm doing a repaint of him and his head's there while I'm continuing painting the body I guess. OR... Hot Rod accidentally stepped into the movieverse and when talking to Drift he happened to casually mention he kinda got Optimus Prime killed and so Drift decapitated Hot Rod for fear of it happening to movie Prime too. But yes I really like this Drift figure.


Also got a TF Prime Beast Hunters Deluxe Bumblebee minue weapons from charity shop that's got some weird orange crap on it.

EDIT: looking at pics of that Bee figure it seems the orange is meant to be there but it's totally inconsistent from the pic I'm looking at to the figure I'm holding in my hands? :O

Poor Hot Rod. He's a nice guy but that was one hell of a big early mistake to make with the fans.

I would've forgiven him a lot sooner if he had truly stepped up as leader and led the Autobots (like he does in MTME/Lost Light!)...but instead, he never really did and Optimus came back to see the G1 cartoon come to an end (I've yet to watch the Headmasters or Victory).

I finally got my first Hot Rod figure, though, with the Titan Masters.

I picked up a Skullcruncher/smasher/whatever from Walgrens since I had some rewards points to burn and I figured QC might have caught up with his leg joints by now. They're still not great, but they don't seem anywhere near as bad as I've heard, so I think the problems have been at least somewhat addressed.

"Swirling" of plastics like that is something that they did for several BH deluxes.

Ah ok. If I'd bought it brand new it probably wouldn't have confused me as much but since it was a weaponless loose figure from the charity shop it made me think perhaps it's previous owner was a child who spilt something on it or doodled on it with felt tip pens (totally unlike me and that silver sharpie ). Not sure what Hasbro were going for with that but it doesn't really work for me at all.

Its super werd. The worst is wheeljack since they went for a black swirl which just ends up looking like dirt:

Those Beast Hunters swirls give a kind of "cammo" effect. Like Megablocks do all the time for most of their sets. I like it because it make each and every figures COMPLETELY UNIQUE.

I bet it trigger hardcore completists!
