I love the Classics Seeker mold, Ramjet is my favorite version,

Is this the one your talking about? I'm patiently waiting to pounce on one for a good price. $60 sealed and $35 loose isn't striking my fancy.

Irony is I used to dog on seeker collections, whether they were chug or g1 because they are all basically the same mold and just repaints. It wasn't until I inadvertently aquired 3 and displayed them next to each other that I was like oh, oh okay I need all of them. Lol let me know if you see a good deal on botcon rain makers

Childhood me is really happy with adult me today. I received the Hasbro Asia MP Soundwave reissue today. I'm really happy with the figure. The bot mode is great but the alt mode is awesome. Just a few minor issues, which I gather is common based on some things I saw online with the original issue. 1) sometimes the tapes get stuck, preventing SW's tape door to fully open. 2) The back of SW in alt mode is kinda weak sauce compared to everything else. But overall, this is worthy of the MP name. I'll fiddle around with the tapes another day.

Sick shot of FM with blaster. Perfect scale, something you would definitely anticipate from the early 80s. Those cassette's are more like 4 tracks.

On my hunts, I definitely go from Hillsboro to Clackamas to Beaverton! Even when I'm down in Bend.

I hope the wave3 TMs arrive next week.....

Yea, I didn't even realize I finished the transformation. I thought there were still a few steps to go to fill in the back lol. I'm going to leave it in tape player mode for a while. It's kind of cool seeing it sitting on my desk and pretending like it's "listening" to me.

Same issues as the G1? The G1 actually had a space for batteries, and the weapons transformed into the batteries, and fit into that slot. I thought that was brilliant! This one doesn't have that, strangely enough...

Yup, I was watching the Optibotimus review and also thought it was strange how the back of the G1 was so smooth and beautiful, yet the MP couldn't achieve that. Small price to pay IMO for such a beautiful bot mode and the front of the tape player is basically flawless. Optimbotimus did mention he could see a 3P coming in with an accessory to fill out the back gap. Not that I'm interested, but I am curious if anyone ever did that?

Yes, I also believe MP Soundwave is the best piece of the entire MP line so far. It's perfection. Or as close to it as we will get. I splurged on myself for Christmas this year and finally bought an Amazon 25th Anniversary Edition Unicron (my favorite version of that figure) as well as a Titans Return Cerebros. (I don't care for big Max too much.)

I'd go for the Platinum re-release of Unicron at this point, but no funds for anything $100+

So I've been away from the boards for a bit (not like I comment they much to begin with) but I've had a pretty big month of acquisitions and wanted to share. I don't have the willpower to upload pictures so I'm just gonna type it.

From the generations side of collecting I found all 4 of the wave 3 Titan masters at a Target near me. I also got highbrow for Christmas and Takara Mindwipe.

Now onto the masterpiece side of it. I'm pretty late to the party with masterpiece figures, going into this I only had 3 of them hotrod, shockwave and acid storm but I have decided to start a complete Takara masterpiece collection. So this month I've added Starscream, Sunstorm, Tigertrack, Sideswipe, G2 Sideswipe and Optimus.

It's been a pretty heavy month and it's only going to get worse with my new masterpiece obsession.

Yesterday I picked up my first Titanmaster figure in the form of OverboardOverkill. Now I can see that the Crashbash mold is quite good and this might be the best use of it. The deco is really nice. Of course with my luck it was the only Wave 3 figure there, practically the only TR thing there besides a Loudmouth and a Galvatron.

Naw naw. The Grim is exactly the same as the one I sold you. Back then my MP collecting wasn't so... defined? I bought him on a whim (mostly because he was on sale) but didn't need him at the time, so away to Cobo he went! But in the past few months I decided to get everything of EVERYTHING. And y'all have no idea how my MP Grimlocks I'ma have at the end of this.

When I was talkin first release, it was in regards to Soundwave (cause that Asia reissue was just released). The box just had to go and be slightly different

So these two? The Grim I shoulda kept, and the Soundwave I shoulda not put down when I had him in hand at TRU, pacing for half an hour
