Picked up Leader Jetfire--woohoo!!!

Still looking for the new scouts though (specifically Scalpel and Dune Runner).

Two boxes waiting for me when I got in from work today. The first was my club Heatwave, the second a big box of Universe goodies: Treadbolt, Blades, Springer/Ratbat, Roadbuster/Dirge, Special Team Leaders, Aerial Rivals, legends Hound and legends Megatron. Good haul.

Hoo-boy... today was a HYUGE haul...

1 ) Target Titanium Thrust: One of the best molds in the Titanium series with a positively outstanding paint scheme. The shoulders were a touch loose, showing the mold degredation, but the paint job itself was nearly flawless. One of the best purchases I made today.

2 ) Movie Voyager Mixmaster: Pretty decent figure. Tall and gangly, and quite poseable if you can dodge the kibble.

3 ) Movie Voyager Demolishor: Umm... right. To be honest, he's pretty much the worst of the lot today.

4 ) Movie Gravity Bot Sideswipe: This was actually for my mother - she saw me watching the review of Gravity Bots Bumblebee, and squealed loud enough to hurt my eardrums. She practically demanded it, and it's surprisingly fun.

5 ) Movie Legends Springer

6 ) Movie Scout Dune Runner: Not bad. Haven't transformed him yet, but he's got a nice look and nice articulation.

7 ) Movie Scout Reverb: Paint's a little brighter than I expected, but a good figure like his darker brother.

8 ) Movie Deluxe Wheelie: Weirdly tall, gangly, snd doesn't look like a Transformer to me. Eh, it's alright.

9 ) Movie Chromia: Ugh. Blech. Only Demolishor is worse. Only reason I got her was to eventually get all three and combine them.

10 ) Movie Preview Deluxe Soundwave: MUCH better than 2007's movie preview figures - as long as you keep him in bot mode. At least he's not a Rock Lord.

11 ) Animated Activators Lockdown: Ugh. Does NOT want to go back to car mode, and once you DO get it into car mode, does NOT want to 'activate'. Starscream was a thousand times more fun. Still, it's got a decent robot mode, if not excellent.

All in all I spent well over my monthly budget for TF's - and I still have Leader Prime and Supreme Devastator to get later this month.

Woohoo! Went out to see if the local shops had any new RotF stuff since last week. Nothing on that front, but one of them must have been clearing out old stock, because they had (in very battered boxes) Cybertron leaders Megatron and Metroplex.

I passed on Metroplex when he was in shops - I was only just getting into collecting, and the combination of him both not being G1 Metroplex and looking quite simple had put me off - but I think a review or something changed my mind... after he'd disappeared from shelves

I never saw Megatron in shops, but after I had C. Leader Optimus, had actually seen a couple of the cartoons and saw there was a cool looking toy, I've hunted around for it on and off. Today was the first time I'd seen it when I actually had enough funds available to buy it... woooo!

Whilst I don't quite consider either to be "grail" figures, they were definately on my "highly wanted" list. Yay me

If I had the cash, I'd buy another Megatron and paint him black... I think he'd make a cool crossovers Batman/-mobile/-wing... are there any known customs in that style already?

Been awhile since I've posted anything, and I'm not going to bother posting all the stuff I've bought since i posted last, but i figured i would post the fact i picked up ROTF (JetFire) today. Very sweet toy, and combined with prime is just plain awesome.

I bought ROTF Mixmaster yesterday on sale at toys r us. Really fun transformation, and I like his robot mode alot.

Got ROTF Leader Jetfire and 25th Titanium WW Prime. Jetfire is HUGE! The combined JetPrime is impressive.

Got ROTF Stratosphere at Walmart. He's pretty cool, and the giant feet don't even bug me. The baby Prime he comes with is just so cool, needs paint apps tho.

Also got a Machine Wars Optimus Prime cab from eBay, great shape. Modded his arms for shoulder rotation. Dealing for the trailer from a fellow fan.

And lastly, purists, cover your ears: GoBots all up in here!!

The GoBots Guardian Command Center, $27 shipped on eBay. Looks to be complete, decals still on the sheets, box included! Now my Mini-cons and G1 mini-bots have a home of their own, not to mention my GoBots Puzzler combiner figure.

I fear this has started me down the dark path of GoBots collector-ship. This I don't need.
