Gotta love clearance sales, especially if it's not indicated in the pricings A department store I frequent (don't ask why, they usually don't have much) suddenly had loads of TF's in a display. Furthermore, most of it was brought out from the back room as they were very old figures I asked about the price of one item, turns out it was 50% off according to the computer system, despite the tag indicating full price! So I wasted no time and got those two lovelies:

Eh.. I caved and got ROTF Leader Class Optimus Prime. He is very awesome. Although he doesn't shut up. Keeps telling me his name. Was originally gonna wait for him to drop in price, but with Jetfire combining with him, I doubt he will.

Greetings, people of Seibertron, I have returned from a month's hiatus...as if anybody cares. I've managed to spend approximately £63 on transformers...so here's what I got in my time away:

ROTF Argos exclusive Superion Maximus-I went looking for Bruticus and came back with Superion instead...And I certainly haven't regretted the purchase. Okay, so his gun hands and strange feet are a bit of a turn off but he's certainly the best (and first 'official', might I add)combiner I have. I really like the look of the add-on set, so...maybe if I can get the money together for it somehow...'Till then, Superion has plenty of play value-I've had quite a lot of fun mixing and matching weapons and giving the four scout class jets a few new modes.

ROTF Sideways: Ah, the Audi R8...I bought this guy mainly because I have a friend in the Sonic The Hedgehog fandom who loves Audi R8s, that, and the alt-mode looks fantastic...Robot mode, to be honest, could have used a few more weapons than just a spinning saw blade, but, eh, could have been worse....

ROTF Sideswipe: The one I like the most out of my purchases besides Superion-Although he finds it hard to stand with those blasted wheel feet, I love his alt-mode-I do believe it's the first ever Corvette I've had in my transformers collection. The robot mode, from the crotch up, of course, is fantastic-I love his Ninja-type face sculpt, the rear of the car as the chest, the hands and those awesome swords. I often transform him just so I can mess about with the swords and have them deployed or retracted. I mainly bought him so I'd have a rival to Sideways, and also because his voice actor is apparently the voice of Sonic The Hedgehog....But dayum, he's more than just that.

ROTF Dirt Boss: I bought this guy mainly because he uses the same design as those annoying little forklift drones from the first movie game. Although slightly fiddly to get back into forklift truck mode (I often find myself straining to get the legs connected to the arms properly), and of course, his constructicon colour scheme being nothing like the decepticon drones in the game, which to my recollection are orange, I won't be returning him anytime soon.

ROTF FAB Optimus Prime, which has a great alt mode and a nice head sculpt. I couldn't resist modding his arms to give him elbows; it's harder than you'd think.

And on eBay I found the 4 drones for Energon Optimus Prime, which I will give to Energon Omega Supreme, because he's so spindly and weak without them, poor thing...
