I'm a bit late to the party on this one, but I don't normally buy Scout class figures. Today I picked up ROTF Scout class Sonar (Depthcharge repaint), and I must admit, I am quite impressed. His articulation is as good or better than many deluxes, his transformation is well-engineered and fun, without being complicated or confusing. I may have to pick up some more Scouts.

Gentei Dark Skyfire, couple of paint issues but nothing I can't fix. Not a bad price either. Think I'm done with this mould now, 4 versions out of the 5 (only missing Henkei Skyfire) is enough for me. Maybe if there's ever a Nightflight repaint...

European G1 Overlord, totally complete including Giga and Mega Powermasters in excellent condition, all three ramps, all base accessories and roller. It is really only missing one of the three missiles. It's also very slightly discolored (only visible in alt mode), the wing joints have lost some of their tightness and he has some worn stickers, but nothing some 3% hydrogen peroxide and some Reprolabels won't be able to fix. :grin:

And apart from that, the postman also brought me a MISB Encore Metroplex, a MISB BW Magnaboss and a MISB BW Tripredacus this week!

Congrats on Overlord, he's a piece of class ain't he? The wing hinges are a common problem, the ones on mine are loose as hell, but he stays in bot mode anyway so no biggy there. Only missing a missile for the main weapon and the buggy cover now, although Red Leader did say he'd sort me out the missile at AA last year, really should get back to him on that.

Thanks! Yep, he's totally badass! I haven't yet set him side by side with Skorponok, but they say they're pretty evenly matched in size. Overlord actually surprises me in how good he is: so many features, and luckily they all work pretty well on mine. I don't have instructions, so I was slightly puzzled how the arms locked again when going back to plane mode, but I figured it out eventually. I read somewhere that Overlord's missiles are the same as Metroplex's? I haven't yet opened my Encore Metroplex (still sitting on the table as I'm writing this), but if that's true, it shouldn't be too hard to replace the missiles...
Some of the more discolored parts are now soaking in hydrogen peroxide: I hope it brings back some of the original color. Afterwards, he'll certainly get pride of place in the collection (next to Skorponok)...

I hope to get one someday, but the best I found was a loose junker... About the missiles. Overlord's missiles do look similar to Metroplex', but they're not quite the same:

I've been really impressed with most of the scout class guys from the movie lines. Nice transforms, lots of articulation, and transformers-ish bot modes (as opposed to the weird-ball on-screen movie designs).

In general, the off-screen movie guys have impressed me, but the scouts have been really good.

For my part, I got Henkei Prime and BB. I've liked the deco on both better than their US counterparts, but the price on Prime was prohibitive till his recent re-release.

I had already customized my BB and was happy with him, till I decided to further custom him into a VW Beetle. Before I could do that, I had to replace my existing one, and I figured I might as well go for the Henkei version.

I also picked up RotF Armorhide (the Landmine repaint) with my TRU 50% coupon.
I like him, and Landmine as well, as army builders.

Just got the custom made PileDrivers for G1 Rumble & Frenzy from Maiden Japan, I think he did around 100 pieces and thats it for around $50 bones and definitley worth it!

Quite a haul today. Picked up the Universe packaged Cyberton scouts Backstop, Breakdown, Brushguard, Lugnutz and Undermine, £5 each from Home Bargains. Many thanks to Dark Ageis for the tip off on these. I missed out on quite a bit of the Cybertron line due to some unemployment woes while the line was on shelves so it's good to be filling some of the gaps.

Got home to find a nice box from BBTS. Gentei Ghost Starscream, Botcon Leozack, FP Defender (Springer!) and CC upgrade set (shoulder launchers!). I've been a bit concerned about mould degredation on both the Starscream moulds after Gentei Thundercracker and Botcon Skyquake but these are both nice and tight. The spark crystal on Leozack is a little wonky, but should be an easy enough fix. Very pleased with the size of Springer, he'll look great with TRU Whirl and Target Roadbuster, hope that Broadside is suitably huge when he eventually comes along.

Less than impressed with Backtrack, paint looks like it was applied by a 10 year old and the mold ain't that great. The things I do for rare figs...

Just got the Perfect Effect Rumble and Frenzy gun-bots.

They are wicked cool molds, with a lot of posability and such, but I was shocked at how tiny they actually are!

I'd seen the reviews online and read the threads, so I was forewarned, but they are much much littler than I expected. Just a hair bigger than a WSTF!

Since Frumble is supposed to be about the size of a human, they look great next to ML Soundwave and the Classics Seekers but, man they are mini!

Picked up Human Alliance Barricade a few days ago and am really digging the figure. Weird, but having him makes me want to pick up HA Bumble Bee for some reason... Oh well, until then him and SKids will have battles of epic proportions!!!!

The Orange mini-Con is Iceberg, and if I'm not mistaken, Universe Fireflight. Which parts of the Energon Saber do you have?

While Fireflight is the guy that comes with Thunderwing and Firebot, this isn't him. It's a white plane with a claw like shield thingy. I'm missing the middle piece of the Energon Saber, although I'll probably just go get another Energon Saber, the base of the Star Saber is missing a forearm.

Piked up ROTF Gravity Bots Sideswipe and Bumblebee at Toys R Us, w/ their Buy 1 Get 1 half-off. not sure why but the chunky little guys make me smile. Plus, I can play with these with my little boy, not yet 2, with no fear of his pinching himself too bad, like the Battle Chargers Sideswipe I got him.
