At last, he's finally here, AD-31 Optimus Prime!

So despite his extreme shellocity, he's pretty rockin' ya?

Fawk yeah, citizen of Gobotron! Also, he's not that shellformy. The panels become his armor skirt and shoulderpads. Pure genius! The only flaw is the rear part of the truck as backpack. Even then, it's like a planeformner with his wings and/or nosecone hanging off the back. Once you accept that this Optimus IS NOT a geewun/classic Optimus, but his own beast, (a knight, no less) he become extremely awesome. Especially with all that remolding and that ridiculously premium paint job. Jeez, that paintjob even outshine Buster Optimus!

So, with Combiner Wars coming up soonish, I've had my head on combiners that I've wanted; well, an auction came up and I pulled the trigger on it.

I finally got my hands on RiD Landfill, and I'm definitely glad I did. I've kinda been putting off the purchase for awhile, because I couldn't decide which version I wanted.

I ended up buying the Universe version, all yellow with the silver paint apps. They add an interesting splash of color, and though I do prefer the paint job on the original version's combined mode head, there's nothing awful about this version's. Heck, it even has Hightower's pistol, and that thing always gets lost.

I definitely miss this level of quality and engineering. Yeah, it's not perfect, but it's pretty darn good. Here's to hoping the upcoming Combiner Wars line turns out as good as it's looking right now!

I finally got my hands on RiD Landfill, and I'm definitely glad I did. I've kinda been putting off the purchase for awhile, because I couldn't decide which version I wanted.

I ended up buying the Universe version, all yellow with the silver paint apps.

I just went to the galleries to see if I could find this repaint, No dice. They actually don't have the OG either. I'm really curious to see the Universe version. If you have time and the means, would you mind posting a pic?
Always liked these guys. The way they combine is totally unique.

A very intersting haul today. I got a complete Cybertron Optimus and Wing Sabre (from the 2 pack) along with Weaponizer Bumblebee for 30$ cdn. My little cousin who likes the cybertron toys (because that line truly is for all ages) will be getting this loose 2 pack for christmas, not sure if I should also give her the bumblebee or keep it for myself. I was always turned off by its price point, but at 5$ its a pretty fun figure (wing sabre and optimus were 25$ all together).




And I also got G1 coloured Mixmaster from a good friend. I was able to get him from alt mode to robot mode without the instructions, but attempting to do the reverse, well...

And would you believe she'd rather have my cybertron Hotshot? I am giving her these out of some guilt of making her play with Hotshot and not being able to bring him home. She does love Optimus too though, she loves how he transforms exactly like in the show and isnt all that hard.

and thats one of the best things about the unicron trilogy, those renders are so true to the toys, right down to the screws

Haha, yeah, she was so impressed at how it was a full conversion from one distinctly colored and detailed mode to the next. And it fit so well as a counterexample to Cobotron's brilliant post about the presence of car parts.

But guys, you should have seen the look on her face when I showed her a clip of Optimus transforming after we had transformed him together before. She couldnt believe what she was seeing. It totally boggled her mind that every detailed was being performed on the screen. Hence our ongoing joke of Galaxy Force Prime being a masterpiece, you cant get more cartoon accurate

And Cobotron, while she likes a few transformers (the ones mentioned), Constructbots are much more her thing so I will be giving her one of those sets too (they have also gotten very very discounted lately).

First, a girl who truly love TFs is so WIN in my book. Second, She will have a blast with the Cybertron Optimus and Wingsaber duo. Also, 25$! Great deal! (Keep. BB. she will be underwhelmed by him after those perfect Cybertron toys).

Also, I dunno if she like the Dinobots, but try getting Constructbot Dinofire Grimlock. At Target, it's only 30$ instead of 45$ and if you can manage to find a cuppon from the flyer, this wekk, you can shave off 5$ more.

I built is and That Grimlock is incredible! Fun to build and it make for a solid and great toy! Plus, bonus tiny Optimus!

We've got Rail Racer, but no Landfill/Build King? Well that's a shame, it really is quite the nifty set of molds.

Sorry that I haven't gotten around to a good photoshoot setup, I'll get around to that eventually. .-.; In the meantime, here're some shots.

its a shame the yellow set isnt decepticons, to emulate a G2 devastator.

but yeah! landfill is an awesome set of figures! i have the original, and green/purple devy variant. recommended to anyone who likes combiners

We've got Rail Racer, but no Landfill/Build King? Well that's a shame, it really is quite the nifty set of molds.

Not sure if this was @ me, but I do have Build King, and DON'T have Rail Racer. Wish I did.

If nothing else this set is worth it just for Wedge. He has one of my all time favorite head sculpts.

You guys are so mean, getting a Landfill like that... I really want the RiD original (I only have Heavy Load) and the Devastator one. The yellow version is still RiD, tho released really late. And Cobotron, no retooling for the Dev one, but the head's nicely painted all the same.

With Sinterklaas right in front of the Dutch doorsteps, retailers are getting cheap stock in or pricing down the existing stock. In this case, it's the first. You guys wondered what happened to CB Scout Wave 3? Guess what: they ended up here via the UK. Everything shown is US stock. Just business as usual here

The Ultimate 2-Pack was supposed to be a coupon deal at Intertoys, from €27 to €17 (Better than the one I found and passed on in a bargain bin). But my local toy store that had it, had all coupon deals converted to regular price cuts, so one doesn't need the coupon for the discount! They were just that nice there.
The Scouts I got thanks to another tip-off from the same friend that landed me Ripclaw at Big Bazar. This time it was Wibra, think of it like a Dollar Store. At first I just wanted Cliffjumper and Dead End, but Breakdown's blue was hard to resist, and the store only have one Silverbolt (after I helped another customer find the sets, they were kind of hidden from plain view). So yeah, ended up getting all four.

He only cost me 120$ cdn. Pretty cheap right for an original toy? If anyone finds it expensive, he did come with a few extra accessories included with that price.

Yeah Kijiji, in the south shore, took me an hour to get there by metro and bus but so worth it.

And if you thought this was cool, check this.

So for 120$, I knew this was good but the scorponok had no head. Still a good deal, but a bummer none the less.



But then I played with it a bit and uncovered its trap doors and gimmicks. Kanrabat knows where this is going.
