Most of those characters have had Generations releases in the last three years. I don't understand why you want to blame non-Generations product lines for Hasbro not releasing figures -- that they actually have released.

I don't care for the electronics myself, but I definitely hope they include both the older titans return and newer Siege/Earthrise connectors, just like Omega Supreme.

Let me get this right: Scorponok will be the Titan, Mega Zarak will be the head, and Zarak will be the Headmaster?Sentinel_Primal wrote:So, I've been thinking about how they'll handle Scorponok, and I can't help but wonder if he'll have compatibility with Fort Max. No idea. When I said Zarak I meant the head for Scorponok, not the Titanmaster sized figure, because until we actually get confirmation on what everything is being called, I just think of the Cerebros-like unit as Zarak because I'm used to that being the name of the character who forms Scorponok's head, with the Headmaster for that figure just being Zarak's Headmaster stage

I see. Right now, the way I think of it is Scorponok is the Titan body, Mega Zarak is the Cerebros-sized head, and Zarak (referring to the actual human-sized component) is the Headmaster. I don't consider Cerebros (or his Scorponok-equivalent) the Headmaster, because if I have Headmaster technology correct, the larger head cannot function without the smaller head, but the city bot (in battle station or city mode) does respond to the smaller head (Spike/Zarak; meaning that the smaller head can control both the Titan body and the larger head, but the larger head can't control the Titan body without the smaller head). Isn't head canon fun?Sentinel_Primal wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:Let me get this right: Scorponok will be the Titan, Mega Zarak will be the head, and Zarak will be the Headmaster?Sentinel_Primal wrote:So, I've been thinking about how they'll handle Scorponok, and I can't help but wonder if he'll have compatibility with Fort Max. Sounds right, seemed like with Fort Max it was Spike directly talking to him, Cerebros was just along for the ride. And just like how Cerebros also doubles as a "communication room" for the city mode, whatever they call the middle bot for Scorponok will probably be part of his defense base mode, possibly in the center where the shield goes on the original figure if he doesn't come with one.

It all just really depends on which version did what, since the The Rebirth, Japanese G1, Marvel G1, IDW G1 and more all did their own takes on Fort Max and Scorponok differently from each other.Rodimus Prime wrote:I see. Funnily enough, you'd be correct even according to the Japanese toys; Takara switched the names from the US, so the Headmaster is called Scorponok there, and the whole figure Megazarak. Also, the Scorponok name is retained for the Black Zarak release. What a mess

Meanwhile, in Beast Wars: Uprising, since name re-usage was constantly avoided to let everyone have their own name*, the Decepticon Double-Headmaster** who turned into a giant scorpion was never named "Scorponok"***, instead using the Japanese name for the city-sized "MegaZarak", while the name "Zarak" belonged to the middle-sized Decepticon Macromaster who formed the head of MegaZarak, while the Nebulan scientist who binary-bonded with Zarak to form his own head was Fausto Borx.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Sentinel_Primal wrote:Personally, I'm planning to just slap the TR Scorponok head onto the mid-form and call all of them Scorponok. There's versions of Blades you could do with Spinister.

I've seen bot mode digibashes of Rotorstorm, Airachnid, and Armada Cyclonus as new head repaints of Spinister, but I doubt they would do at least Rotorstorm given how inaccurate his bot mode would be to his OG self. I still desperately want a Demolishor repaint/retool of Impactor, so a Cyclonus to go with him would be great, and all the non-G1 character updates we've gotten in Siege were really reimaginings rather than direct updates, so Cyclonus not having the cockpit chest wouldn't matter.
...now I've talked myself into wanting that more. Demolishor & Cyclonus for ER or Selects please Hasbro.

It's still available to preorder through both TFSource and BBTS, so I placed a preorder there, though it makes me wonder if either of them will see supply issues in terms of late arrivals or anything like that.
Anyone else get anything of the sort?

If everyone didn't receive a mass cancellations, then it probably just means that they received more orders than they can support.
