Yeah, there's one at $60, two at $40, and five at $20, so it definitely looks like second wave of Netflix exclusives.
Guessing:
$60 - Shockwave with lab stuff.
$40 - Optimus Prime recolor and new character (maybe Deadlock from Springer) plus Battlemasters.
$20 - Elita-1, Armada Wheeljack, Ironhide recolor, ...?
What would be hilarious is if $60 fig was a retool of Astrotrain as Armada Jetfire, but that seems really unlikely.

Also, Bumblebee and Soundwave are a part of the netflix line? Why wouldn't they go in ER? Seems kinda weird if they don't have weathering but whatever.
It is cool that Bumblebee is a VW, I was just hoping he didn't partsform like Cliffjumper does. Maybe the updated molding will let him transform without removing it?

I wish they'd just lead with Netflix. I always found some fault with the main ER Prime and if Netflix is just going to come out with a better one Hasbro is going to lose a lot of my trust.

Honestly, it would be awesome but I don't think it will happen. Battle Masters are cheaper individually than Micromasters. Plus that Select box exist.
In all logic, it may be a special "battle damage" version of Optimus Prime with one or two Battle Masters included.

And by the way, this is now getting super confusing since it seems the Walmart exclusive Netflix stuff might not just be redecos anymore but actual remolds and even new alt modes, like the volkswagon beetle and a tape deck for soundwave. Don't know if these are earthrise toys we have yet to see or not.
Also, I hate that I have to rebuy so many figures I already have. Soundwave, Ironhide, prowl AAARGHHH

It's because he's a re-shell of SIEGE Ironhide. Given that mold's core transformation scheme, a roof shield was the easiest way to give it a Onebox roof.DMSL wrote:Lazy Ironhide transformation the roof becomes a shield, hope it is not like Cliffjumper.

I agree this would have been great! Maybe there are some 5mm ports on the underside so we can fan-jam some kind of approximation of one. Maybe use Siege Ratchet's accessories?ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:But I wish they'd given us an Ironhide with the proper battle platform..![]()

Yeah, that irks me as well. I wish they would have given their slots to figures who haven't seen a proper release in a while, if ever. Like some Firecons and Sparkabots. New Firecons would be excellent, especially as they could all use the same base mold with different alt mode parts. Alas, it seems we'll be stuck with Cindersaur from Slash for now. A shame- I like Slash but Cindersaur is supposed to be a lumpy lizard thing! Slash's athletic, predatory form is FAR too dignified for a 'bot whose brain module long since melted to slag and poured out his ear!

Well, I personally find it a very fun feature. Both as a battle sled and as a medical slab/workstation for Ratchet. In modern toy context, it would go great with Titan Masters and Prime Masters.Rodimus Prime wrote:Why? I always hated that about the G1 toy. And Ratchet and Ironhide are inaccurate without it. Their robot mode character models are based directly on the robot separated from the platform that forms most of the van volume.
In Ironhide's case, an Earth mode by itself is not enough to get me to bite. I needed that extra play value and bit of design accuracy... Combine that with Prowl not having a different chest from Smokescreen (as far as I could tell) and that pack is a hard pass.
In fairness, Prowl and Whyronhide are an exclusive two-pack, so they're not stealing main slots.Rodimus Prime wrote:Yeah, that irks me as well.
