Amazon's "Dead" Optimus is way more interesting than this Nemesis. Still, a bit baffling to release two similarly colored repaints so close together.

Or to release Nemesis Prime in a “spoiler pack” for a show that didn’t even have Nemesis Prime.

Perhaps Nemesis will pop up in future seasons of the Netflix series. But whether he’ll be a rogue experiment of Shockwave (like Soundblaster was in the show), a herald of Unicron, or they pull a page from The Last Knight and have him be a corruption of actual Optimus Prime remains to be seen.

But why spoil it this early when we don’t even know when the Earthrise season is coming out? You’d think Nemesis popping up would be a big spoiler that should be kept secret.

The "spoiler" in these sets isn't the character, it's the text printed inside the boxes that gives away story information from the show.

But every single other character save Scrapface and the pack-in Battle Masters were in the show (and you could argue that Scrapface was meant to represent the zombies). It just doesn't make sense why it'd be Nemesis, unless it's a teaser of things to come.

We've got a treat for you Transformers fans tonight! Seibertron.com forum member and YouTube reviewer Chuckdawg1999 has posted an English language video review of the upcoming Transformers Generations: War for Cybertron Trilogy - Earthrise Voyager Class Megatron figure. This is a third wave figure and may be popping up in your local brick and mortar stores any day now! Chuck gives us a nice look at Megatron in his "new" Earth-based alternate mode, styled after an Abrams Tank. The video, imbedded below, shows us the conversion from robot mode to tank mode, and include an extensive look at what has been changed between the original Siege Voyager Megatron and this newly retooled version for Earthrise. Note, the version of the Siege Megatron mold used for comparison is the 35th Anniversary "Classic Animation" release, which was a Walmart exclusive in the United States last year. I really don’t understand all the hate for this mold.
I think people just feel slighted because it is so similar to a mold that we already bought a bunch of times.
But it is still an awesome Megatron.

For me, it's mostly that, but also his goofy "sword" that's not nearly as good as the Siege one, as well as his head sculpt. It really only works for the G2 recolor.

The G2 pics also show us that the sword can also be mounted as an over-the-shoulder cannon. How it looks from behind is still to be seen but for me, that helps differentiate it more from the Siege version.

I tried that. You have to remove the plate and use it as a shield of sorts so the cannon will bend far enough forward, the hinge on the peg is not strong enough to hold the barrel in position on mine.

I'm plenty satisfied with my Netflix Siege Megatron and I don't see the need for this one. But for those who are hardcore fans or don't have a Siege Megatron, I think this is a solid figure to get.

Nope. The only piece that's removable is that black plate. You can't even hold the sword "Normally" because the peg can't fold that way.

Nope. The only piece that's removable is that black plate. You can't even hold the sword "Normally" because the peg can't fold that way.

I don't know why they couldn't have designed this better. Make a 5mm hilt for the blade that slides inside the other end of the tank cannon, and voila! You've got a sword that Megatron can hold correctly. They could have still stuck a peg on the barrel to attach it to the back right shoulder and keep the gun muzzle part of G1 Megatron's robot mode silhouette intact.

I think they had to make it one piece due to how it attaches to the front of the tank. You need it to be one piece to pull it off from the main part of the tank. I wasn't kidding about how hard it is.

I still think the initial idea was for the feet to turn in and fill in the back (for the Siege and Earthrise version). I think something went wrong, or they found it was going to be problematic. But I can’t see why they couldn’t have put those ankles on soft ratchets and have them turn in. It would have made both molds look so much better.

Seeing as how Bumblebee's silhouette is repeated for all of the planets as a placeholder pic on the other page, I think we can safely say that those silhouettes are just stock art.

Hello fellow Seibertronians! You may recall that we posted a news story recently about the Ratchet and Lifeline 2-Pack, available to pre-order from Amazon.com under the title of "Transformers Generations War for Cybertron Trilogy Galactic Odyssey Collection Paradron Medic 2-Pack," due to release on December 1, 2020. Many of you noticed in the product images that the inside of the box features not only a map depicting Paradron, but four other planets as well. Now we know for certain why. Forum member Sabrblade has brought it to our attention that Amazon has updated their listing for the Paradron Medic 2-Pack. Apparently, this is but "Encounter 1" in the Autobots' adventure in traveling from Cybertron to Earth in this second leg of the War for Cybertron Trilogy! We can expect four more encounters to come, including (in order): Micron, Biosfera, Dominus, and Botropolis! We don't know yet what figures will be included with each set, but, according to a countdown on this hub page for the Galactic Odyssey Collection, also found on Amazon.com, we can expect to know who will be in the Micron Encounter set in 29 days, as of the publishing of this news article!
