I could see them going with 2-packs of smaller figures for all 5 of these releases, but I could also see Amazon taking a chance on a $170 exclusive. Their track record for exclusives is pretty good.

I still think if we see Black Zarak it is likely to be a TT Selects, and I don't see the pre-order being less than $200 for starters. But, Hey, if what you say comes to pass, I'll order it day one for sure.

-Paradron: self explanatory
-Micron: Micromaster 10-pack Part II
-Botropolis: Go-Bots (Playskool Gobots)
-Dominus: "Planet Master", headmaster/battlemaster set?
-Biosfera: "Biosphere", planet of beasts
This all seems highly logical, but I have one different theory. It's a wild and crazy one but hear me out. Botropolis's icon is that of a city. Instead of Go-Bots, what if this is a planet of Cityformers?

What's a Gobot?

Are they advanced, though?
Yeah, they got super computers and energy constructs... Which they use to make medieval weapons for dramatic 1v1 duels between their leaders. It's a civil war being fought within a society where everyone is almost impossible to (permanently) kill, half the soldiers still use swords, WMDs are comically impractical,
the best strategic weapons consists of five or six soldiers engaging in a vertical gymnastic orgy, and the most efficient way to defeat an enemy is by literally chewing him up.

I've always thought of the use of swords and other melee weapons as a form of energy conservation for a civilization that has had a long drought on power resources. Even an electrified club or super hot sword wouldn't use close to the amount of energy that a laser powerful enough to shoot through metal would consume.
Likewise I've always thought that a large number of Transformers on both sides would regularly go into voluntary stasis also to reserve energy. The war may have gone on for millions of years, but most of those fighting in it from the start may have only experienced a few thousand.o.supreme wrote:I still think if we see Black Zarak it is likely to be a TT Selects, and I don't see the pre-order being less than $200 for starters. Last year I might have agreed with you, but Hasbro having initiated Black Roritchi's release and that figure not even guaranteed a release in Japan (only four or five Hasbro Selects figures have been released in Japan) I'm not so sure anymore. Of course that's even assuming it happens at all. I just wouldn't be surprised if it was Hasbro's like I would be if it's, say, their take on Grand Maximus or Metrotitan.

Flashwave wrote:I forgot about that. The distance travelled through dpace is shorter and therefore takes less time than going the long way round or something. So time on the ark might have been less than time aroumd it or some such. Einstein makes my head hurt-Kanrabat- wrote:Not only that but I think time did flow differently on Cybertron and Earth. A day on Cybertron could very well be just an hour on Earth and a year just a month.
There's also all that time relativity that come with space travel. So with some technobabble, it's possible that the Ark actually flew through time and went to the past while going faster than light. So the Ark went millions of years into the past then crashed.
Eh, same thing did happen with Beast Wars.

We have seen a dew cases in this line where the figures are identical, but Takara chose to release them through different mediums. I'm still not convinced that this isn't just Hasbro looking for something unique to do as a redeco like the Powerdashers were

I'm not risking it this year. Once Snapdragon arrives (should be today) I will have the 1 voyager and 2 leaders I wanted from the line, so it's all down to 2 battlemasters, 2 micromasters, and 6 deluxes for the line for me.
Yeah, people from the UK are reporting the same.Gauntlet101010 wrote:Just letting anyone who's interested know, but Amazon.com seems to, finally, let Canadians, at least, pre-order the Ratchet / Paradon set.
It's not on amazon.ca, though. So it's still expensive. Probably not as expensive as it'll be on ebay, tho.
