Seeing how his base mode has the shuttle detach from the carrier, I would imagine each component has their respective animals modes included.
This is going to be an expensive year...

Fort Max was a Retool of Metroplex though, back to front like the Universe Lambo Twins were. The more likely argument, which the Grand PreSales seem to back up, is that HasTak does not think that there is enough of a market to justify the expense of another Titan figure. Remember that Grand got made, but he didnt hit his minimum to come with the Pretender Armor figure. Maybe they don't think there are enough collectors who know or care about Metrotitan etc

For all intents and purposes, despite using Metroplex as a starting point, Fortress Maximus should be counted as a new separate release. Reusing Titan Class molds apparently requires special circumstances, or have very minor changes. How many re-releases did we get after Metroplex and Devastator setting the standard?
And don't forget, Universe Sunstreaker and Sideswipe were "pretooled" or "built in", the first second confirmed in fact after Cybertron Scrapmetal. That's effectively building two toys into one if one goes beyond alternate heads like with Combiner Wars and Titans Return. For smaller Size Class with a lot of figures that can be a cost saver, but with only one figure a year for Titan (and Commander) with low production numbers, it's not worth it.

If you look at the sides of the base, there are red extensions that look useless for support, but appear to fold toward the back, which would put them in place to serve as the Lynx mode's double tail.

I take this and the fact that the carrier detaches with all four legs to be a pretty solid indication that there is a lynx mode whose head is just hidden.

Still don't collect Micromasters or Titans, but I'm happy for those who are happy for Scorpy.
When Jtprime posted the link to the TFW boards for the pictures, did anyone else see that rumor list they were talking about beforehand over there? That seemed a bit suspect and yet also too specific to be false, and some of what it mentioned was terribly mysterious.

Already been confirmed to be a double headmaster (like Fort Max)
I think perhaps people should wait for more pics on sky Lynx before making a judgement on the Lynx part.

*starts preparing crow* Don't worry, I got the perfect recipe for that.
Scorponok looks... decent, gonna wait for some up close shots.

That's...so **** up I just can't imagine it being the case for the Autobot one. There's cruel and there's having a miniature member of your species attached to your arm to die for you in horribly painful manners.

Why? Well, let me put it this way: if its not that then these are basically small dudes being waved around as living meat (well, metal) shields to take hits for bigger bots.

True, but then they are content to wear their comrades as armour or as power ups

So they're like nails on any given human? Plausible, but what about the motions they go through? Like swinging around, or sudden stops like when you brake your car really hard? That would be even less fun...
