I see what you did there. Hound is an excellent example since I think he was re-released in 2 other waves (3 and 5).

Welcome to the doldrums. The first wave of Earthrise hasn’t hit store shelves and only Siege leftovers remain and who wants to buy 7 Thundercrackers. To make the time go by, I thought I’d offer up my wishlist for the Earthrise toyline. This isn’t a prediction of what will happen just a list of ‘wouldn’t-it-be-nice’. So let’s dive in.

Deceptions
#1, 2, & 3 – The Coneheads AKA Ramjet, Thrust, and Dirge
With Starscream is already confirmed we will see Thundercracker and Skywarp at some point in the line. But since the Seekers will have a F-15 fighter jet mode, how about bringing back Ramjet, Thrust and Dirge? Ramjet and Dirge need recoloring. Thrust needs retooling. And since were are talking about retooling…

Autobots
#1 – Windblade
If we are already retooling a Thrust it should be easy to retool a Windblade. True, she has shown up in the Generations line already, but I think this entry could be the definitive one.

Deceptions
#4 – Octane
I imagine a Voyager size Octane. He commands a group of Plunderers. While Megatron’s army fights the Autobots, he needs a support team. A group plundering Earth of its energy and delivering it to the frontlines. As an air tanker and an oil tanker, Octane makes an obvious leader.

#5 – Breakdown / Lugnut
Patterned after Breakdown from Transformers: Prime, he is the muscle; big, brawny and good at breaking stuff. He can be retooled from Hoist giving him a hammer instead of Hoist’s laser. And while we are on the subject of Hoist retools...

Autobots
#2 – Trailbreaker
This is another safe bet. Hoist was a redeco of Trailbreaker in G1, so I’m sure our jovial black camper will arrive during the toyline.

#3 – Sunstreaker
Redeco Wheeljack. Sideswipe needs his bro for another session of Jet Judo.

#4 – Tracks
While it could be remolded from Wheeljack, I’d like a fresh mold for Tracks. A sleek Corvette Stingray is just what the doctor ordered. Plus I have a couple of redecos in mind.

#5 – Overdrive
This blends the Velocitronian Leader from Cybertron and the enigmatic Omnibot into a Tracks mold. I think a white Stingray with red flames would make a striking figure and a great addition.

Decepticons
#6 – Knock Out
Knock Out was a break out character in Transformers: Prime. Here he is a recolor of Tracks. Or as he sees it Tracks is a recolor of him.

#7 – Loud Pedal/KARR
This would be a Generations Selects offering. Loud Pedal is a black recolor of Tracks, but he could also serve as a standing for KITT/KARR from Knight Rider. It would be cool if Hasbro could swing another 80’s crossover like with Ghostbusters, but if not Loud Pedal is a good substitute.

#8 – Ransack
The last of the Plunderers along with Octane, Breakdown and Knock Out. Ransack is a motorcycle who prefers ambushes over straight up hand to hand fights. The Arcee mold from Transformers: Prime could be sized and retooled or pull retool a Combiner Wars motorcycle and remove the combiner peg.

Autobots
#6 – Endo / Hightail
A new Autobot motorcycle. Using the same mold as Ransack. Endo is the reckless, teenage type. Think Cheetor or Hot Shot in previous Transformers series.

#7 – Warpath
This would be a new mold, but follow Cliffjumper’s launch as a semi-deluxe. It would scale with other Legend class figures, but have accessories to make up value.

#8 – Drift
Taking a swing at the Snake Eyes/Stormshadow rivalry only with Transformers. A recolor of Wheeljack but in red and white, Rising Sun decals and a pair of swords.

Decepticons
#9 – Bludgeon
The other half of this rivalry. I would use a heavy retool of Thrilling 30 Springer. A surprising triple changer with a helicopter blade/sword and a wicked grin.

Those are my picks. I’d like to save the remaining Omnibots for the next toyline. Also it seems obvious they will match Runamuck with Runabout at some time otherwise it would go on the list. This is my wishlist. What’s yours?

To be fair, octane is part of the Mercenary faction in the card game... And they are set to appear in Earthrise... So, maybe not such a long shot wish ;)

I just realized something. If we get a Snapdragon, he might end up having the same white material as Apeface. Although, I'm mostly making that assumption because of different theories I've heard about why Apeface has that material. Even if Snapdragon does have that material, I'm fine with it. Apeface having that didn't ruin the figure for me in anyway

After fiddling with my figure for a couple of months I don't think they could have made Apeface without that material considering how some of the tabs work. I'm just really, really, really glad none of the Siege figures, and hopefully none of the Earthrise figures, have had any of that rubbery stuff like Titans Return Mindwipe and Krok has, the tip of one of Mindwipe's wings broke removing him from a storage container while in bat mode :-(

I really, really want that Prime Smokescreen. I would have to list Artfire and Hauler as my top priorities. Plus, I would love for the guys at Hasbro to take a stab at Star Saber (get it? :P ) and Airachnid. And maybe, just maybe, we get the Omnibots and Throttlebots? Please?

If we got an Airachnid, I'd want it to be WAY better than the actual Airachnid we got, and include the weird spiderbot mode. And if we got Star Saber, I think it'd be nice for him to be like the POTP leader class figures because that gimmick was MADE for him. Like, every aspect of that gimmick screamed Star Saber and yet we never got one because he was part of the poll

They're probably still scratching their heads on how to do him justice. I mean, he has more than one standard gimmick:

- Brainmaster: The Titan Master gimmick is perfect for that
- Super Mode: The PotP Leader Class, as said before
- Combining with another into a Brave-style "Great" form

It's the last that may prove the hardest to do, look at how Legends Godbomber and God Ginrai turned out. Not impossible, but may be too big for his own good.
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

- Jelze Bunnycat =:3

Looking for:
- TR Furos (Hardhead's head) and Crashbash (lost him :()
- PotP Punch head
- TR Galvatron right arm (the gun one)
- CW Brake-Neck/UW Wildrider, CW Offroad
- TR Twinferno & Grotusque
- Greenlight, Lancer and PotP Elita-1 (plus repro Victorion hands and feet?)

Transformers War for Cybertron: Earthrise Wave 1 Deluxe and Leader Figures Found at U.S. Retail

Postby Bounti76 » Thu Jan 30, 2020 2:40 pm

Weapon: Vibro-Axe
Thanks to Twitter user vicegripx, we're happy to confirm that the first wave of Earthrise deluxe figures are out at U.S. retail! He spotted them at a Target in Tacoma, Washington, as evidenced by the photo below.

Image

Via reddit, we also have a sighting for the first wave of leaders, Astrotrain and Optimus Prime, which were said to be found at a Target in Idaho.

Image

We reported last week that the Micromasters from this highly anticipated line had shown up in Portland, Oregon, and with these sightings, the rest can't be far behind. Originally due to hit in March (as many preorders have that date, Earthrise seems to be following the pattern of seeing figures hit retail earlier than expected, as was the case with Power of the Primes and Siege.

Are you excited to see these figures start showing up in the next little while? Let us know what you think below!

I think that's something Earthrise could handle very well actually. We've almost seen proof of concept with the Weaponizer gimmick. Only thing is, that if they do go for all three gimmicks, I'd actually say it should be a Commander class two pack of leaders like CW Devastator. That way the joints can be beefed up to hold the weight, while not being too tight on a hollower limb. The Commander price point might have enough of a budget that would allow for three solid figures that combine together

Wouldn't commander class equal to a voyager and a leader? That's how I always envisioned them doing Victory Saber (using the logic that Victory Leo was a weaponizer in Voyager Class)

Speaking of which, I took my TR Wolfwire out of storage the other day and sure enough, that back panel was broken at the hinges.

Gets paranoid and checks my wolf wire, everything is fine. Haven't checked mind wipe though I didn't have any problems with the classics/rts junkticons so I don't think I'm as heavy handed/unlucky as some. I did just risk breaking a ss vw bee folding windows away that the instructions avoid folding despite the bits having a hinge.

Be careful with that SS Bee, I do the same and I think I spotted some stress marks in that clear plastic.

Mine will most likely not transform again, at least not for a while.

On the Earthrise topic, I am surprised the voyagers seem to be the figures that we have been slowest to get news on: last for reviews, no sighting so far, etc.

I do plan to buy more smashdowns though

I am really surprised she hasn't been repainted yet. It's just her for her mold, whereas everyone else got a repaint/retool in some fashino.
