Which is what the TR figure should have been.Emerje wrote:my own belief is that they'll make him a Voyager with just the canon mode.
Yeah, I think that's what's gonna happen. I'm not sure how exactly, because if they want to be faithful to G1 Galvatron, an H-tank will not work.Of even more boring, a retool of Megatron.

While I loved that mold and gimmick, I would rather they do the definitive G1 Rodimus Prime, and try to finish up as many "definitive" G1 characters as soon as possible, simply so we could then move on to less Sunbow, more unique designs that still homage the originals, but add a new flavor to it, like Animated, IDW, and to an extent UT

I feel like the irony here is that in a line where everybody's complaining because leader class is Voyager figures with trailer accessories, what you're asking for here is a voyager figure with trailer accessories.

For the record, I've loved the leader class figures in the wfc line

They would have to do something with the shoulders, cause having the legs as shoulders is a little funky.

But how many times did Roddy ebd up reverting back himself?

Most of 'em really. Misfire, Windblade, Slugslinger, Sky Shadow, etc. And yes - I was unable and the prices on eBay are argh (and Misfire and Windblade are particularly rare). I had chances at Misfire, Slugslinger, Top Spin, Twin Twist, and Windblade but passed them because I was waiting for Sky Shadow and Overlord to show up on the shelves. Which they never did at my Targets.Rodimus Prime wrote:Which ones? ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:PotP Roddy is good, but scale-wise he works better as a "Super Rodimus" amongst most Generations figures (he scales nicely with G1 Galvatron though). So I do hope to see a Voyager-with-trailer Leader in WFC at some point. Also hope to see a proper Quickswitch.
Galvatron, I'm personally good with the TR version. If they do make a new/altered Galvatron, I hope he's the same size as that one (which might require the Leader price point, although if they can make him a Voyager then great). As far as having a gun mode, the TR version's starfighter mode looks like one if you turn it upside down and you can also configure him close to the original toy's gun mode. Personally, I prefer the fighter mode because it gives him some more aerial mobility and the gun mode was only used like once in fiction, and even then it was only used to smuggle him.
Now, I do like the gun mode on the G1 toy, but that has the advantage of electronic lights and firing sounds (and it's more comfy in the hand thanks to the size). Most of 'em really. I didn't have a problem with her sword but making her a Titanmaster wasn't thought through enough. Her neck hole is a little too big and neither her Titanmaster nor any other Titanmaster fit good. Don't know if the Hasbro version has the same problem but I can't find that for less than $50 so I won't be finding out myself.ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Perce I at least got off the shelves.
I kinda prefer the TR versions to the Legends ones for the most part because I like the weapons the TR toys come with (and the attendant gimmick) and the Legends Targetmaster Partners have accuracy issues (which wound up spreading to SIEGE; Aimless gets it the worst)... And Windblade and the Jumpstarters essentially come with other characters' weapons at the expense of their own (as does Doublecross). Well, Windblade has the sword from another Windblade toy, but it doesn't go with her properly.
I find that most Titan Masters fit better into the neck ports after their little heads are first rotated backwards.aronjlove wrote:I didn't have a problem with her sword but making her a Titanmaster wasn't thought through enough.
