Went Siege hunting this weekend in the St. Louis area. Illinois-side Targets had Battle Masters. Shiloh Target had Micromasters, Hound, and Cog. Picked up Hound and Firedrive(who I gave to Rodimus Unicronus to be a dick).

On the Missouri side, Brentwood Target had the above selections plus Sideswipe. Bridgeton Target had two Skytreads so Inabbed one and hightailed it for the checkout lanes. (Only so much lunch break!)

Good to see the new arrivals in my area!

Just got the voyagers in from BBTS today (and Hound is on the way from Seibertron's eBay page!) and they're pretty dang great. Megatron has an interesting transformation that's fairly basic and works well but it also has a few clever steps thrown in there, particularly his weapons storage and the little panels on his shoulders for accurate detailing. I love Optimus though, he just looks incredible - as good as I imagined. His transformation is insane though, he almost feels like a tiny MP with all the steps going on. Not as fast to transform as I assumed but he looks great and is really involved and interesting so that's fine. Plus his truck mode is well proportioned for the first time in years without having a bunch of bot kibble and hollow parts everywhere - HUGE step up from Titans Return Prime. I like both voyagers but Optimus stands out a little more to me at least right now, I'd put him and Sideswipe at the top of my Siege favorites list, Megatron second, Skytread third (might change once I get one without the glued leg problem) and Cog last because while I love his design, the partsforming isn't my favorite and he's got a couple loose peg holes. Loving the line though, best Transformers I've picked up in a while.

So, I got in on that almost criminal deal on the Deluxes at HTS the other day. They arrived last Friday, and I've been playing with them ever since. They are fantastic! Despite this issue with Skytread's legs, which I lucked out with, the quality on these toys is really good! I feel like this is a step back to the kind of quality we saw pre Thrilling 30.

I was kind of on the fence about the battle damage, but in hand I actually really like it.
I don't have any complaints about any of the four. I think Hound is my favorite of the group. and, we keep seeing lots of cool shots of Cog weaponizing Sideswipe, but hey! Hound likes some dang battle armor too!


I'm liking this Weaponizer gimmick more than I thought I would!

I'm really not disappointed that Skytreads alts don't have their own robot modes. I guess I'm just used to Doucons working that way.
It makes for a much better robot action figure in the end. Not that I'm mad at old Battleslacks there.
I've always loved the design of Skytread's ridiculous boots. So glad they kept with that design.

I feel like this is a step back to the kind of quality we saw pre Thrilling 30.

Without having any in hand, I'm getting the same vibe from all the positive feedback. I did hold Hound in box the other day though. That was a hard temporary pass.

I was kind of on the fence about the battle damage, but in hand I actually really like it.

I'm not a fan, but it doesn't bother me that much. Hoping I'll warm up to it, if not I'll bust out the 90% isopropyl alcohol. Whouldn't be the first time I've cleaned up a bot (TLK Squeeks).

I've been saying for years that they need to pick one gimmick and ace it before adding any additional gimmicks. Even though I like Battletrap a lot, he does have his weaknesses/drawbacks. I'd much rather see a streamlined focused product pulled off 100%.

Thanks Z! Yeah, Hound looks so dope Cogged up, I haven't even tried him on Swipe. I'm really looking forward to the play options of Weaponizing. This whole line is looking to be exciting.

Got my Skytread from HTS yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't have any of the transforming issues I've seen so prevalent with this particular toy. Also, I just looked on HTS, the Battle Masters are now inn stock (first time for that particular group).

It's great cuz you can balance skytread on forward on his toes and get a great dynamic look

Out of the ones that haven't been released yet, I plan on picking up Red Alert, Mirage(since my G1 version broke ), and Refraktor(s). Will be interested to see how Omega looks.

For my part I'm enjoying Firebolt, although I did modify him to correct the gun mode.




I've also modified Hot Rod to be able to hold him in car mode (as part of the larger project of modding Hot Rod's chest. You can see the work I'd previously done in that last pic)

All that remains is to make the engine block able to flip away and be replaced by the orange panel.

The Siege begins, thanks to this notification from Seibertron user Survivefan23! Today, coming from In Demand Toy's Facebook page, we have an image of the new multipack in the War for Cybertron Trilogy, Siege Deluxe Class Greenlight with Battle Master Dazlestrike! For those who may not know, Greenlight was the name created in "Flames of Yesterday" comic given to the green Autobot female in the G1 cartoon episode, "The Search for Alpha Trion." And now, she has her very first toy!

In a similar vein to her fellow female Autobots that was in the episode, she uses the Moonracer mold. Unlike Chromia, she is a direct redeco of Moonracer, with a new head. She even retains her Prime Armor/hand, meaning she can be an arm or leg! She also comes with a Battle Master, Dazlestrike! They are a redeco of Battle Master Lionizer (it's actually the same, but with blue eyes, and green on the blade). Buuuuut, they come with a new "Fire Blast" effect piece, which is literally fire, in a slashing motion!

We have no information on price, date, or venue of release, past this one image. But, thoughts on this figure? Tell us in the Energon Pubs below!

...alright, so that confirms those leaked product listings, and makes me much more hopeful that the Firestormer Sideswipe will be combiner compatible as well as G2 colored (I can dream). As for Greenlight herself I'm not super interested, like all the other uses of that mold, but I am happy for those that wanted her to complete Elita-Infinite (I'm not even going to try to guess where the 1 goes).

Well, that's awesome! I personally probably won't pick up Greenlight, but it's nice to see another limb for Elita-1's combined form. If this is getting product shots so soon, I can't wait to see what they've got planned for Sideswipe's new release with Slamdance. Really hoping that Sideswipe as the G2 color scheme and hopefully some parts for the spiked shoulder wheels

Well, we are now 1 gal away from the all female combiner. Though this really stings that she can combine and Chromia cannot.

Ugh, so maybe I don't need to find Groove now. Though what happens if they announce a 4th gal? Dammit Hasbro!
