I like getting new female figures in the transformers universe, but are they saying now that nearly every female auto has the same robot and vehicle modes?

It's called getting your money worth out of a mold. Especially since the characters using said mold were introduced as part of the same team and shared similar aesthetic in robot mode in the tv show.

I'm assuming it's also because they see a demand for female limb bots. One would think they could also use the remolds they created for Victorion, but I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro forgot about them.

Well, the base molds for the Torchbearers don't exactly readily lend themselves to the decidedly Cybertronian-altmode Female Autobot squad from "The Search for Alpha Trion"

I'd also like to have seen a new mould here. I get that these characters aren't high on anyone's priority list, but there have been so many generic Transformer toys made with totally new moulds... Would it really kill them to have a few female moulds in place that aren't just Arcee or Windblade? If only for variety?

Greenlight looks amazing. Also since she is seemingly a combiner, this ends the theory of "no combiners" as the reason for the change in Chromia for the Siege line. Unfortunately it only makes the change even more frustrating now, as THIS CHANGE is literally the only thing keeping us from a completed Elita-Infin1te now.

I'm hoping either Hasbro realized their screw up, and is redesigning Chromia to restore her combiner component, or if there isn't enough time, to release her again with her combiner function in tact as part of the select series down the line.

Not to detract from the Greenlight discussion, but I've been playing around with Cog and Sideswipe, and came up with a super mode so he's ready to take on Shockwave whenever he makes it around to retail. 4 arms and super stilts ready for battle.

Greenlight looks amazing. Also since she is seemingly a combiner, this ends the theory of "no combiners" as the reason for the change in Chromia for the Siege line. Granted, this set is likely an exclusive rather than a part of the mass retail line, and was probably conceived well after it was decided to make Chromia an all new mold that simply borrows Potpie Moonracer's transformation scheme.

Well, I do plan to eventually *somehow* attach all 3 deluxe Weaponizers to a single figure once they are released. Not sure how it will work out but... in my experience, you can never have too much combining

I'd rather we just get another retool/repaint of the Moonracer mold as Lancer and call it a day. Why does everyone keep forgetting about her, anyway? Chromia had her chance already, and this will be her SECOND mass market release toy, so let Lancer have a shot first before we have a third Generations Chromia.

Honestly, I'm OK with that as well. I wasn't forgetting about Lancer. I was just looking back instead of forward. The 2 Swoops is what triggered the idea.

Still, the team is not complete without her.

I would love for Hasbro (or Takara) do something crazy a few years down the line, like design a new Deluxe Elita One and Chromia set that can combine together to make an alternate torso for Elita Infin1te. Of course, it should still be Combiner Wars compatible so we can use Moonracer, Firestar, Greenlight, and Lancer as the limbs.

That's where IDW came in, and made Lancer Greenlight's romantic partner, and made them the first all-female couple shown in the comics.
