Now that we've seen production pics of Greenlight, I went back and compared her, along with Moonracer and Firestar, to their cartoon animation models. Greenlight is VERY well done. The sculpt isn't a complete match for her character model, but that's the case for all three of these figures. However, the coloring on Greenlight is spot on. Everything is the right hue and in the right place, save for a few tiny details. A little green just below her neckline would have made this figure almost perfect. Firestar is actually pretty accurate in the color department as well, with everything matching up to what you see in the cartoon in terms of hue and placement. She is, sadly, missing a few paint details on her forearms in toy form compared to her cartoon look. Strangely enough, Moonracer, the first use of this mold, is the worst (though not necessarily "bad") when it comes to matching her toy to her cartoon character model colors. The toy adds a lot of lavender to her, which was never on her character model, and paints some parts white that should be seafoam green (and visa versa). The original sculpt was certainly made with Moonracer in mind first, though, as most (but certainly not all) of the sculpting details match up with her particular line art from the cartoon. It's just odd that Hasbro (and Takara) decided on a less cartoon accurate deco for the character the mold was actually made for and gave her repaints (and slight retool in the case of Greenlight) much more faithful reproductions of the cartoon color layouts.

Sideswipe compared with both CHUG versions of Jazz. Reveal the Shield and Power of the Primes.
RtS Jazz is nekked because the previous owner stripped his decal tampos off as preparation for customizing but never finished. Reprolabels will fix most of it but won't replace the 4s on the doors or the one on the hood.
Also, is his chest supposed to be able to lock in somehow?

The Hunt bears Fruit!
So tonight on my way to Kokomo, where I am volunteering for a Christmas Train, I stopped off at every store I passed.. The last Target had a center aisle display for the Bumblebee Movie, but in its slots were W1 Siege Deluxes! Whoo!
So I picked up FLywheels and Hound,t he two I most wanted from W1. Previously, I ordered the Micromasters sets off HTS, so this is not technically my first experience with Siege, but lets go with it.
Unfortunately, both figures have some minor problems. On Flyheels, in his left leg where the shin cover is supposed to fold closed is a plastic lug. Looks like part of a spur from casting, but its in there tight and preventing the shin from closing all the way. Soon as I get some time, gonna see if I can work it loose; hopefully it’s cast off from assembly and just pinched and not actually attached. Hound is a bit more serious, but ultimately not an important issue. The Black ankle parts on Hound, I have two left ankles. It doesn’t prevent the leg from transforming all the way, fortunately, (Love how he uses the YTR Kup leg trick) but in vehicle mode, the lug that the arm is *supposed* to pin into is facing up into the cab instead of down. Fortunately the arm joints are stiff enough he isn’tdragging His arm, but it woulda been nice to have a correct figure,
Somehow, I had it in my head that the silver gun tip on Hound could be removed and put into the holo emitter. Clearly I am hallucinating, but I was sad to see that I was wrong. Those gripes aside though I am VERY happy with both figures. Cannot wait to get Hound back with my Generations Cast of the TF4 Movie, he’s gonna look great. (Cloud Ironide as Crosshairs w/ Legeneds Pinpointer, TF4 Rollbar, Generations Drift, Gen Tracks (so we have the TripleChanger)) I think I do prefer the Classics Hound Vehicle. But this shade of green and deco is better, as is the flat foot as opposed to the GoGo boot he had before. And the Guns are awesome. Flywheels has no comparison, but I definately love him more than Battletrap. I really wish we’d gotten one in the same style as the other, I just feel like Battletrap was hampered by the extra smaller robot parts. Not that he’s bad, but Flywheels definately better captures the gimmick. And Flywheels is a perfect example of how Hasbro can still pump the G1 Nostalgia for us collectors and still give out toys and characters that look and feel “new” as opposed to simply 14 more Starscreams. Yes, I get that they have to 1) use the Trademarks and 2) Characters like Starscream are A-List Staples, but The figures we have gotten in the past like Triggerhappy and now Flywheels are new and fresh and very familiar at the same time. Its Awesome.
I am pumped for Ultra Magnus and even playing with these 2 in my Hotel Room I am warming up to the One Eyed 4 Armed Flying Purple People Eater Laser Cannon. I am on t he fence with Prime, I want to know what the Leader is gonna be before I spring out he VOyager, but Hound has me stoked for that Voyager all the same. I don’t have the DCPI, but I might go back to that Target and see if they have a Prime in the back.

Not exactly excited to see a fourth female character in a row with the same body but I'm pretty stoked she's getting a toy at all. I'm also pleased to see some retooling aside from the head. The new torso especially is a choice I can appreciate. Of course the robo-abs look silly but they serve to make her look buffer than the other three, which is appropriate based on her original design. The deco is a doggone fine likeness as well.

Greenlight Stock Photos are GO!
- Motto: ""A mountain with a wolf on it stands a little taller."

Hot on the heels of the new reveal of Transformers SIEGE Greenlight in box, we have some nice stock photos, care of 蓝色正午 on weibo.com, of Elita One's most verdant teammate! Enjoy these closer looks at Greenlight in both robot mode and vehicle mode. We also have an interesting treat in the form of a comparison between Greenlight's new toy (in both robot and vehicle mode) and some nicely done fan-generated character models from Seibertron.com user Zobovor, who had originally posted his piece on his Deviant Art account. (Please note that these are not official G1 character model sheets, with the robot mode being a recreation of the on-screen appearance of Greenlight and the vehicle mode being a mostly original design, since Greenlight wasn't seen in vehicle mode during her cartoon appearance). Next, we have a nice group shot of Greenlight with all of her accessories, including a Power of the Primes style combiner hand and a repaint of Transformers SIEGE Lionizer as "Dazlestrike," a new Battle Master partner for Greenlight. Dazlestrike also seems to come with a nice fire effect not seen previously on any Transformers Siege Battle Master figure. Finally, we have a nice comparison picture of Greenlight with Power of the Primes Moonracer and Firestar, all three in their robot and vehicle modes! Enjoy these new pictures below!

What do you think of Siege Greenlight now after seeing these stock photos? Will you be adding her to your collection? How does she stack up to other uses of the "Moonracer mold?" Let us know what you think in the comments below! As always, stay tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest news on all things Transformers!

Re: Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege Discussion Thread
The empty spot on her car mode where the Autobot symbol has been left off is a bit odd-looking. Not sure without a back shot how I feel about the hand placement in that mode. And then there's the head, which I certainly hope they've just neglected to tuck in... All that said, I'm digging it. The new deco and tooling do a good job distinguishing her from the other two. Her head and colors are amazing. The accessories look fun too.
I wonder if she's mistransformed here, the photographer deliberately fan-moded or her official bot mode has her kibble left down. Either way, when I get her, I'll probably fold all her kibble up like I do with Firestar. It'll depend on how she and Moonracer look together, I guess, since I leave Moonracer's down as a sort of long coat effect.

Looks that way. The flat kibble pieces are shaped differently as well and there's no ports on the arms anymore. It also looks like the main part of the torso is different too.

Just a bit of speculation here, but remolding the back flap to be folded down like a cape may be the way that Hasbro has found to repaint Greenlight as Lancer eventually (with a new head, of course). Lancer has the most pronounced “skirt” on her character model, so it makes sense for Hasbro to focus on that to give her a more distinct silhouette from the rest of her teammates.

The only retooled parts are the forearms and head. The torso looks identical. And you can fold down Moonracer's and Novastar's back flaps the same way.
The only thing that would be really cool is if they retool the back flap so it can fold out to become wider.

If not for the humongous backpack, I'd really like this mold and the retooling that has gone into Greenlight. That and, you know, Greenlight of all people getting a mass retail figure.

Man I'd give a kidney for a more Dreamwave-esque Fallen, dark paintjob with glowing furnace orange and angry Mazinger-esque face. After ROTF this kind of design went by the wayside, with the 'Megatronus' identity taking over and the flaming design being forgotten
Stick those effect parts on a Siege Megatron retool and we're good to go.
