It goes back to what we were saying before, about how other lines IE Car Robots, Unicron Trilogy would work really well, if not make a more natural fit than G1, to the gimmick of SIEGE.

Fingers crossed they take heed of this with Car Robots 20th anniversary next year.

Eh.. aside from the Autobot Brothers I think that's more a game for reissues.
Hopefully with better QC than the Encore God Fire Convoy set.

I'd love to see a new Gigatron figure. Such an impressive feat of engineering. Skip the "Galvatron" repaint and just make him a Ten-Former out of the gate.

Will they be incorporating the previous FOC/WFC designs into this line? Maybe the unused ones??

Was Brunt specifically made to go with Trypticon?

As for the 13 getting actual figures, regardless of class size, I think it's entirely possible. I doubt Hasbro would create all new molds for them, but repaints/retools of existing figures isn't that difficult. I think the bigger problem would be distribution. How would they be released? In a line of their own? As exclusives? Perhaps 2 or 3 boxed sets?

Does Sentinel Prime really count as having his own TR figure since it was just an Astrotrain repaint? ...asking for a friend.

The next line after this better have a goddamned Super Fire Convoy upgraded figure, I swear to christ.

Also a Decepticon Leader that isn't Megatron, Galvatron, Shockwave etc

Clearly that is asking a lot though, not to just recycle the same dozen or less characters ad nauseum...

Hopefully the next part of the Trilogy will have it. I want one as well. It would have been great if we got a new version of him along with Magnus, but who knows what they have planned for the rest of the Trilogy.

I do think they could/should release G2 versions of characters to whom it's applicable. Sideswipe and Megatron are a given.

In fiction Sentinel came first so it's really Astrotrain using his mold.

And in any case, fiction wise now we know that was all alie and the 13 primes were not godlike at all.

Only in the previous IDW continuity, yes.
That doesn't apply to everything else.

But what else is there? The 13 primes werent in G1. IDW was G1 themed and expanded on what aligned had, bringing the 13 primes to a G1 type continuity, and then removed their legitimacy. Generations is G1 (and thus partly IDW) themed. So any notion of the 13 primes within the generations line is from this now debunked notion.

Hey Will.
Hey Will.
First off, Generations does draw from more than G1.
But mainly.
One word:

DREAMWAVE

The Dreamwave G1 comics are what introduced the 13 Original Transformers concept in the first place! And the idea of them being demigods (although there were already seeds of that with the Liege Maximo in G2)! And it is sure as hell borne out in that continuity with how powerful the Fallen was!

IDW may have trod roughshod over the idea of their great power as part of its "SHOCKWAVE AMSES TEH ULT!m473 mast3rmind!!!11!" crap, but other continuities (like the one that introduced them, the Aligned family, the Unicron Trilogy, etc) have had more respect.

But wow, talk about an epic brainfart XD. :APPLAUSE: I mean sure, they weren't all identified in G1 material originally. But it was a G1 comic series that introduced the idea along with the group's Judas!

Its not a brainfart, i didnt know, hence why I asked. Thanks for letting me know.

TonTon Review has recently uploaded his long awaited review for Siege Ironhide.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYCPLSmADaw&t=28s

The one thing to note about Ironhide is the fact that he has a noticable amount of gaps through out his mold. I read in the comments that it might be due to the fact that he is a bigger deluxe than the rest, thus warrenting the gaps, as they needed to make this figure as close to scale as possible without making him voyager class.

That being said, holy cow he already looks like a Voyager when compared to Prowl! :HASBRO: & :TAKARATOMY: are putting in a lot of effort just to make sure the figures are in scale.

They should have designed him better and just made him a voyager. As he is, it's a pass for me, much like Hound and Sideswipe were.

I don't think so or else they could have done that with Ironhide and Megatron. But I'd definitely buy a lot more of those.

I alredy had the same idea. But to be an actual Warpath with the chestcannon and everything they would need to retool Megatron too much. And we already had a Megatron-reuse for a Warpath figure in Combiner Wars. And that definitely wasn't an appropriate mold for Warpath. And he deserves an appropriate/own mold. I could see a retool of TR Hardhead becoming a Warpath.

Transformers: SIEGE Wave 2 Deluxe Autobot Ironhide Video Review!

Postby Wolfman Jake » Sun Jan 20, 2019 12:21 pm

Motto: ""A mountain with a wolf on it stands a little taller."

This is the one we've all been waiting for, folks! Seibertron.com member Dannshinigami informed us that TonTon Reviews of YouTube has finally published their video review of Transformers: SIEGE Deluxe Class Ironhide! By now, you probably know what to expect from TonTon's videos of these upcoming figures. We're treated to a step by step conversion of Ironhide from Cybertronian armored truck to robot and back again, as well as an overview of sculpting and paint detailing on the figure, accessory demonstration, basic articulation in robot mode, and of course size comparisons in both vehicle and robot modes. Indeed, the size comparison is exciting as it shows that, despite being a Deluxe Class figure, SIEGE Ironhide is TALL in robot mode. He stands head and shoulders above SIEGE Deluxe Prowl and is just under a head shorter than Studio Series 14 Voyager Ironhide. To top it off, TonTon also shows off one possible configuration for combining Deluxe Weaponizer Sixgun with Ironhide. Enjoy the video below!

Is this the Classics/Generations G1 Ironhide figure you've been waiting for? How well are Hasbro and Takara Tomy doing with the scaling in the War for Cybertron: SIEGE line so far? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, and stay tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest news on all things Transformers!

Oh you know me, i think all characters should get their own mold and their own transformation. But in terms of redecos, i didnt find Sentinel too bad. He has his own mold in the movie verse, and in IDW he wasnt that big a presence so i think its fair. Plus the IDW comics made him look like his TR toy when he returned so he is more accurate to his comic look than Astrotrain is.

Yeah, I really like TR Sentinel (thanks by the way Will!), he's a really fun toy and I like the way he looks. Personally I'd rather we got a better Astrotrain that turned into a proper steam locomotive.
