I pop off the explodey effects, and that’s when I notice that some paint came off with them. Anybody else notice this happen to their Omega?? Is it an Omega only problem, or a problem that only happens with his effects bits?

With new waves of leaders needing shelf space, what are the chances that Shockwave will be put on a massive clearance?
Or is it biting fans waiting for a restock?D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Decent I would guess.Tuned Agent wrote:There's a lot of talk over in the Earthrise thread about how badly Siege Shockwave is shelfwarming at the moment, so I figured this would be the place to ask.

There are a ton of him at my local Walmart, have been for a while. I think they made a mistake repacking him with Galaxy Prime. It's really biting them right now

I'd say clearance prices are imminent.

I would hope so, otherwise leaders will never come back

It's far better now to think of parts count as the major factor between size classes, as well as quality of the pieces involved. Take the rumoured Doubledealer of Earthrise, he'll likely be voyager sized (or more so) then leader sized but the increased parts count will lend itself to capturing both of his alt modes.

I get the argument, but the size of the Siege leaders vs price was never an issue for me. I felt that most of the previous line's leaders were comically oversized. Of course I always want to pay less and all of Shockwave's extra parts are the drawer of misfit accessories, but I don't feel ripped off or cheated for him or Ultra Magnus. I also feel their heights are spot on and their quality/design match the price points. I'm willing to pay more for quality and/or a figure that matches what I want. I feel the same way about ER Cliffjumper.Hellscream9999 wrote:Yeah, this is something peopple have to get over, cuz the same people who were salty over shockwaves price are the same people who are salty over astrotrains price, ironically such a long hunted figure might end up as the new shockwaveZeroWolf wrote:The problem with leader sized figures is that now with the mission statement of scale, it limits the characters that can be done, especially when thinking long term. With that said and mostly because Astrotrain isn't a priority (TR is good enough), I'll be waiting on a decent price drop.
I had my fun with Shockwave's bits and pieces, but he doesn't display the way I like with them on. The parts are handy if I ever want to play with them, but like most of my figures, Shocky is collecting dust after the initial thrill faded away. Now he's just a solid Neo G1 display piece that I pull down form time to time.SpikeyTigertron wrote:I still feel throwing the armor pieces in the “junk box” is really selling the playability short. I felt that shockwaves bits condensing into a hover drone was pretty brilliant if you didn’t want to “armor him up”.

If I get Astrotrain, he'll "suffer" the same fate. He'll end up in bot mode for 99% of his life with all his extra parts and accessories stripped and stored in the same drawer. Very few of my figures keep more than their primary weapon/accessory for display, so to me accessories are just something to store away for later. But hey, that's just a me thing.

Titan is too much, but Commander would work great. That would make him as big next to Deluxes as the original toy is to Diaclone-derived Autobot cars. I hope to see a Commander-class Magnus in either Earthrise or the third part of the trilogy.blackeyedprime wrote:I kinda hated the size of TR soundwave and blaster at first but think it fits the headmasters cartoons cheese factor though they could have taken advantage of the size to make his his tape bots better. The cw leader seekers seemed way out of place.
Siege magnus needed to be the size of cw magnus for my liking (and actually needed to be a bit bigger in robot anyhoos as deluxe shouldn't be head level with the bottom of his chest windows) I know I'm likely to be disappointed with any upcoming galvatrons size to go with six shot or cw magnusbut if they want to do a titan sized ultra magnus I'd be in for that
Now introducing: Weaponizer/Modulator Powerdrive!blackeyedprime wrote:Commander class could be cool for him, I kind of hope he gets his diaclone roller buddy at some point. Always seems a shame when figures miss out on something that diaclone had.
