Seems that BBTS got the Exclusive Rerun for Siege Omega Supreme. Nice, but I was kind of thinking/hopping for a 86 redeco, so now I'm like should I or shouldn't I. lol

I'm of the mind that since this happened they don't plan to do an G1 animated version.

Seeing as how SS86 only uses characters who appeared in in the 1986 movie (which Omega was not in), and seeing as how Studio Series doesn't get Titans, I'd say go for it. It's one of the best Titan class molds of them all. ;)^

I'm not even sure what a cartoon colored Omega would look like. Darker yellow and the clear chest painted red? His claw would have to stay clear orange to keep his face dome clear orange and it can't be painted because of all the joints. Ideally for cartoon accuracy he'd have a completely clear dome and an orange face, but then the claw would be wrong. At best they'd remove some of the painted "damage", but I think he's already as close to cartoon accurate as he's ever going to get.

Plus new paint and new plastic means new paint masters and the whole testing process all over again and new packaging and for a figure this size that's really asking a lot for a store exclusive repaint of the same character. It'd be different if it was a new character entirely (Omega Spreem, Omega Doom or War for Cybertron colors), but repainting Omega Supreme into a slightly different specific Omega Supreme, a lot of people are going to be fine with what they already have.

Anyone who missed out on the original Siege Omega Supreme should definitely grab the reissue if/when it will be available for preorders.

He's one of the best Titan molds.

Yeah, I'm thinking I definitely will, he is the only Titan I regret missing the chance the first go round.

And it's not like I was expecting them to go G1 inspired, just that it was in the back of my mind with how many times they've redone other Bots to look more G1. And thinking I definitely didn't want to try and track this version down and overpay if that happened by some chance. lol

Having them reissue this will suffice.

I missed both sets the first time around, but honestly, I kinda don't see the point in getting them this time around.

Most of the Siege Cybertronian mode figures have been replaced with the Earthrise/Kingdom/Legacy Earth mode figures, Slamdance is just a red and blue Flywheels that doesn't actually look like the real Slamdance, and of the Battle Masters, Schrute was meant to go with Spinister, but Spinister's already getting a new release with both of his Targetmasters included.

And while Fracas can go with SS86 Scourge and both Trenchfoot and Terror-Daxtyl are neat as new original characters, I can't see myself justifying $100 plus tax for just three little Battle Masters.

Some fans really like the aesthetic of the Cybertronian Tetrajet, and want to get them all. Skywarp was arguably the most difficult to obtain once it was out of stock on Amazon. Probably still missing from many fans collections.

Me personally. I too just wanted the BM's (yes go ahead and laugh... 8-}

) . But fortunately I was able to find them parsed out on eBay back in 2019 for reasonable prices.

LOL, I repainted an extra Siege Thundercracker into Skywarp when TC was dirt cheap way back when it was in deep clearance at TRU Canada.

It's a great mold and a good reissue for those that missed it and want to complete a set of Siege "Tetrajet" Seekers. I still love the mold to this day. Back then I was sure no Voyagers before or after can beat it in term of articulations.... but then years later, Legacy Cybertron Starscream happend and matched it. It's just amazing to me it's the seekers that can pull off so many cool & dynamic poses.

I might still get this reissue if I can it on clearance. It's good to not worry about paint chipping on my repaint. But with the Canadian Loonie down in the dumps in exchange, the price bits too much. Damn trade war!

Have the quality issues with Slamdance been fixed? When it originally came out mine had the broken hip problem, and luckily I was able to get a replacement--just had to loosen the screws first

Tbf, when Siege was hitting we were in a time period where that was unwise. We've cycled back around to a time when it's hard to argue against it :glares at Mando crossover on Walmart site:

Though for this particular case I do think it seems like a poor idea. Bust potential much higher than any realized benefit of waiting on clearance.

I sold the set after I felt I'd gotten all the enjoyment out of it that I could - I didn't get $350, but I did get a lot! It was one of the best ROIs I had in recent years! Glad that I did it before they made this announcement.

Still - why the (bleep) aren't they re-issuing the Centurion Drone/Weapon pack? Now THERE was a figure that almost nobody could get....
