YESSS, Cobo!! I love it -- it reminds me of that 3P Computron's bow (awesome!!), and that works perfect. :x

I really like Lionizer -- I was not planning on buying the Battlemasters (just Micromasters), but DEM PLASTIC FX

So the highway patrol is really, really disappointing; the fact that the grey guys shoulders are non-existent and the fact they the have anit-heels, and the 'gun' mode, all in all, I'd say skip this set.

In other news, I got my first target master, and I gotta say, the gun guys are pretty poor too, it seems like the animal battlemasters are definitely where it's at ;)^

Here's a thought. Instead of comparing the Battle Masters to Takara's Targetmasters from the Legends line, how do the Battle Masters compare to the Generations Targetmasters that came with Generations Thrilling 30 Scoop?

That's not a bad comparison at all.

I just opened mine this morning and while transforming them I was reminded of the PM/Decoys, only slightly more involved transformations (PM/Decoys picked for color and alliance only).

I like these guys a lot, especially Firedrive and Lionizer (how do you lionize something anyway?). Blowpipe's chesticle bugs me, but he looks good chilling with Triggerhappy.

The weapons effects are fun to mix and match and the price ain't bad either. I give them a ;)^

I'm not >:oP

I just think they're kinda bland for $6; they could have easily include a hinged knee joint, would have gone a long way to making these things way better.

I agree about the knees. My guys will spend 99% of their time either standing in a stoic A stance or as a weapon; they will do just fine as a cheap and functional way to fill in the blanks.

itscramtastic wrote:So, carytheone, you're saying I need to buy the things?
You know I usually keep my enabling to a minimum, so it really depends on if you need these guys for your other figures. Lionizer is pretty cool on his own though, if you don't need the other ones and just want a cool sword lion! I will say the blast/slash effects add more value then you'd think. Gimme a sec...

I just feel that for what they're asking, they should either have a few more details picked out in paint, or at least knees, it works for the micromasters

Totes and I'd never try and convince you otherwise. I felt the TMs and PMs were a bit over priced as well. I do however have an easier time with the mental gymnastics to justify the BMs.

The titanmasters actually facilitated a change in your figure, and were a self-contained playset, I'd say for $5 they were a great deal, as they could also fill out a burgeoning tf city; these guys, just stand there like idiots and have no paint, or worthwhile joints, or anything really, other than the effects, and I'd easily give those up for more satisfactory figures >:oP

It may have to do less with cost, and more with child safety given how small the individual lower legs would end up (remember the missiles?). Plus, metal pins to reinforce those joins may not be in the budget for that Size Class.

I'm going with budget as those blast effects are some easy to swallow little pills

And they are cast in a completely different type of rubbery plastic and are translucent. I'd assume that adds to the cost. Also mixing and matching FTW!

The micromasters and battlemasters are a tad overpriced but not to a deal-breaking point. The former are pretty cute and fun, especially to me since I missed out on the original or Mini-Cons. Battlemasters, meanwhile, remain a 'must have' solely to complete the Hasbro version of targetmasters. It also help their blast effects are really cool and I wish we had more in the line.

Meanwhile I legit think there is potential for a Micromasters and Legend-scaled line of Transformers, at least if Hasbro was willing to do playsets again.

I hope they stick around in some form for the whole trilogy. They're definitely more reusable than the stand alone Titan Masters and the Prime Masters. Especially the Battlemasters. I'm really hoping we see Fracas, Nightstick, Recoil and Haywire. I'd consider them a priority.

I'd be surprised if we didn't see the other Targetmasters before the end of Siege, let alone the trilogy. We still have at least one wave for the BMs left, plus they could do a Wave 4 for the BMs and repack some other figures. Plus maybe a deluxe we haven't heard about yet (hoping for maybe the other Datsun brothers, or Sunstreaker)

So what do you do when Hasbro puts a pretty cool new item like a weaponizer on sale for 1/2 price plus a discount code? Well, you order 3 is what you do.

Then once you have them in hand, what do you do with 3 Cogs? Well you fool around and hope to come up with something AWESOME!

I did, and Hasbro, if you do actually read these forums, please take notice and plan us an exclusive weaponizer set.

I give you a weaponizer approximation of Rack'n'Ruin!!!!!

RacknRuin.jpg

Get on this Hasbro! All they would need are a new torso and head, better hammer and anvil arms or separate weapons that can be held by the existing arms, a much simpler straight connector between the 2 torsos and you can reuse existing weaponizer parts from Cog/Six Gun/Brunt as needed.

Edit: I noticed that while especially the right hand of Cog is loose for holding a weapon from the top, trying to plug a 5mm post into the bottom side of either hand is REALLY difficult.
