Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege Discussion Thread

So, I just realized this while looking at the Throne of Primes, but so far two of the losers for the poll have been confirmed to be in WFC. Albeit, the only one with a gimmick is Magnus, but what if there's the possibility that the others will be released in WFC? We know they had some designs done and it might only take a bit of modification to the basic design to make them all work. I'd be 100% down with an updated not MP Star Saber
. At the moment though, I doubt that was intentional

A Unicron Trilogy character, getting an update in this so far all G1 line with one RID alt mode? Maybe there is hope...I just hope that if a new Hot Shot is coming, they change a bit more than just the head and the color, as I already intend to get Hound. Even if it isn't, though, it's still progress.
Also, that's another potential Autobot! Where the Cons at?!

As I mentioned before I guess the 'cons have a totally different design. I think they will be actually futuristic and Cybertronian instead of retro futuristic half Earth Mode based.

I guess you also mean Hound. But Siege Hound is a Deluxe and I don't think that his design has anything to do with what he would have looked like as a PotP Evolution Leader class.
But I'd be as well down for a Siege Star Saber. And I still want a Leader Evolution Thunderwing. Maybe they'll be moldmates.

I guess maybe they really do want to prove that the Hasbro team is Unicron Trilogy fans. I still don't know when that was ever debated after already getting the likes of Armada Megatron in CW and Armada Tidal Wave in TR. That does give more credit to the theory that the upcoming Leader Shockwave is the Armada character, though I think if that were true they would have just called him Tidal Wave since we know they have the name. Shockwave with Tidal Wave armor to fit the scale? You never know.

I was just meaning like, Hound's deluxe mold might have been what the "base" Hound looked like, then some sort of back section added or something would have been added. Primal himself isn't much bigger than a deluxe without his armor so, you never know. Though, looking at it again, yeah, you can't do much with that to "evolve" it

They should better prove that they are no Beast Wars haters.
And I still would be down for a Tidal Wave that combines with CW Armada Megatron.
And for Shockwave the Energon version would be awesome. And they could retool it into an RotF like Soundwave.

Oh no believe me the current team hate Beast Wars and will openly say so. Optimus Primal/Optimal Optimus is what happen when you let fans decide and Hasbro presumably reluctantly went with the winner rather than fake it and pick it themselves.

As much as I don't doubt the reluctance, I do think that they don't HATE it per se. I hope think they just don't see how they can improve Beast era toys. The toys themselves still hold up barring the few examples of GPS, and chrome flaking. G1, despite the milking at this point, does still need updates in terms of articulation and such

And yet, surprisingly, news from SDCC shows John Warden claiming to be a fan of Beast Wars and talking about the show's 25th anniversary, beginning at the 13:05 mark:

Then why not celebrate the 20th anniversary? I think they are only talking about the 25th because of how upset fans got that bw was pushed to one side.

2021 would be the 25th anniversary of BW, and the 3rd year of this WFC "trilogy"...

I'd be more willing to bet that they would use the 25th year to announce that the toy line for 2022 would be a beast wars revival (don't know if they would plan in groups of three or if that's just how this has worked out till now)

Isn't Warden also the guy who said BW's anniversary wasn't going to be a thing because 'anniversaries aren't important'....said right after T30 was a thing? Or am I confusing the Hasbro guys too much?

Previously Warden made the comment that (paraphrasing) anniversaries don't have to be celebrated on the anniversary which seemed like an odd thing to say at the time. But maybe he misspoke and meant the 20th anniversary isn't the only anniversary as 25th anniversaries are common, a quarter century isn't a bad thing to celebrate, and it lines up with 2022, the post-WfC year.

Yes, I also thought about they may dedicate a whole chapter of this upcoming trilogy to BEAST WARS.
A really hope they don't fool us and in the interview he said that they have some designers who are BW fans if I remember right.

Re: Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege Discussion Thread
Truth is, even as a BW fan I would not mind a more 'merged' G1 and Beast Wars as long as the figures include the main cast and major characters even if it mean making them pretools/retools of someone else. Like if we get a red mecha-rhinoceros as 'Ironhide' I won't be annoyed as long as we get a Rhinox. Just an example, mind you, Rhinox already got an excellent update in T30.
