Metrotitan was from Zone, two toylines before Operation Combination.ZeroWolf wrote:Thats the Micromaster Combiners putting their power with Guard City (a Defensor redeco) to destroy Battle Gaia (a Bruticus redeco) its from the Japanese only Operation Combiner toyline which also saw Metroplex redecoed in to the Decepticon Metro Titan. I can't remember if the story was told through story pages like the Return of Convoy was

Not to derail much further from siege.... but if I understand this right.... the combiner is made up of 3 “duocons” which would be six “micro masters”.... so this could be done at *maybe* micro master scale or “scout” sized with battletrap/flywheels as a predecessor?!
Also if anyone wants clearer/close ups of any of that 10 pack, let me know

I would love to see what they do with a Siege (Generations/WFC) styled Road Caesar. All of em, I mean Generations styles for all of em, I’ve wanted those toys since I learned they existed forever ago.

You've already provided pics of some of the anomaly, namely Fireline using the Red Heat head instead of the Topshot one. Kudos for that.

Thanks! yeah, all in all there were more "changes" than I was expecting. That seemed to be the biggest one. But I think Cratermaker also had a different chest/head as well.
I previously wasn't even paying attention/aware all the sports cars were different.

You're generalizing and assuming that that's why I want a comic head. Not so. I never cared about cartoon accuracy or original toy accuracy. Never. I was brought up on the Marvel comics, and I have always wanted my figures to represent the characters from the pages.ThunderThruster wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:That Ratchet is a really good figure, I just wish it had a comic accurate head. Which would make little sense in line that is stated to be based/influenced by the cartoon.
Shouldn't be surprised by this though, as people have been bitching about not getting show accurate <insert part> on figures based on the original toys for years, so why would it change that we're getting a line intent on homaging the show.

They look good but the lack of things such as playset and their poopy combined gun mode (safe for the plane sword mold and the military patrol who look legit good) leaves me wishing for more like playsets. Next line seem they are doing the two-vehicle combiner so maybe we'll see more cool stuff from Micromasters.

I use my city bots as Micromasters playsets. I bought 2 G1 teams. One for my encore G1 Fortmax and one for my Scorponok. Then I bought the Siege military duo for my Gen Metroplex and the jet-sword for my TR Trypticon.
The do interact superbly well with the city modes.

My Metroplex is currently being crewed by the Autobot micromasters (and a few spare minicons) and I think these guys work better than the Titan Masters for crewing the titans. Really hoping Scorponok's next year's titan for the Decepticon micromasters to have a home

I'd hope that he's the next Titan. I can't really think of anyone else who they would prioritize over rapping up the main city bots.

The Air Strike Patrol homages the Star Saber (albeit without the grip and hilt formed by Sonar), in fact Storm Cloud's transformation is somewhat similar to Jetstorm who forms the bottom half of the blade:

We have a bunch of city bots and all TR leaders become bases, we have all the playsets we need.
