I'm noticing that people are either thinking that OS is either going to be the Ark, or something akin to his original G1 self, but my question is... why not both?

He can transform into the classic spaceship platform with a tank, but instead of just a standard looking rocket, we have the ark to replace it. It would make sense continuity wise if we're trying to stick to G1, as you can simply say they used OS as their platform for the ark, and it could please those who want an animated callback.

That's... Actually a great idea. I was thinking it could be more like that 3rd party company that made Omega from the original WFC where it could achieve both at separate times, but now your idea sounds awesome. Just enough G1 for the fans from the 80s, but also a reference to Animated for the younger fans

Hmm..I don't recall much outcry at the lack of motorized movement. I didn't expect Trypticon to have it, nor Skylynx, nor a Modern OS (if we get it). The only issue I had with Trypitcon was his shortness next to Metroplex & Fortress Maximus. But it's not a big deal in hindsight, still a great toy, and glad mine did not have the defects that earlier releases had.

NYCC is just over 2 weeks away. I am excited for any reveals we get, since my definite purchases on this siege line currently are at zero, but there are 3 *potential* purchases, based on what may or may not be revealed at the Convention. Also it appears that in the past, there has not always been an exclusive toy released at NYCC. So my *hopes* for anything that may be a final PotP release are scanty at best.

Cog & Six Gun (if they have any true integration with the Titans they are part of), and Omega Supreme, if he is revealed

Cog and Sixgun (as well as any future weaponizer, most likely) are currently on my 'must have' list. Why? Because it's a gimmick which seem like it has great potential both within the line itself and with previous figures, as it uses plug-and-play of 5mm ports.

My must haves are the weaponizers, Magnus, and Omega Supreme. Maybe Ironhide, if we don't see a Ratchet out of that mold

I really nearly every figure in this line has integration with Weaponizer almost on par with Sideswipe, however.

Oh there was and there were plenty thinking that the reason legends trypticon was $80 more was because takara was making the legs electronic and could walk and then there were people hoping 3rd parties would make longer legs to push his height and make legs move.

Because it’s Generations which means it’ll look just like the old cartoon and toy but with knees. That’s where we’re at now. They’re not reinventing characters anymore. They’re just making them with articulation.

Or at least at first, but the more I look at it I think I'm on board with this. It's oddly isolated in the background with the other buildings acting sort of like camouflage to blend in. It's almost like the city was built around him with some extra junk of a different color built onto the rocket to turn it into a city tower.

Whether or not this is an Easter egg or a teaser is yet to be seen. If this is our next Titan I'm going to be a little disappointed after they kept making comments about the next Titan being something "BIG". To me that would mean another 24 incher, but I think many (most?) of us want him to be 18" to go with Devastator.

As long as he doesn't turn into the Ark or have anything at all to do with it I'll be happy. I still hate that idea and I'm starting to really dislike Animated Omega for putting that in peoples' heads.

I mean they're basically 2000-era 'magic mushroom' supermodes but for every figure with enough 5mm ports to stick them to. Make me wish we got a new Godbomber and Overload which worked that way.

If this is our next Titan I'm going to be a little disappointed after they kept making comments about the next Titan being something "BIG". To me that would mean another 24 incher, but I think many (most?) of us want him to be 18" to go with Devastator.

As long as he doesn't turn into the Ark or have anything at all to do with it I'll be happy. I still hate that idea and I'm starting to really dislike Animated Omega for putting that in peoples' heads.

I'm not boasting, but just reiterating that Omega has pretty much been my favorite character since day one, and While i am very particular about his interpretation, (I dont disagree with the above statement)...I can't say I hate animated OS. It was fine for that series.

While I still believe that he should have his original animated series look, and should be designed with his rival Devaststor in mind...the sizes have been kind of all over the place.

Two 24" Titans from the same mold (Metro/FM), Two 18" combiner Titans (Dev and Predaking), and a 19" Trypticon (height can vary based on how he's posed, but most media states 19 IIRC)...

Anyway, I'm going to propose perhaps compromise that would satisfy most fans, at least in terms of size....

If we get a 19" Omega Supreme, this would be roughly in line with the animated series, where he was slightly bigger than Devastor, and all other combiners. however a 19" would also satisfy fans of the Omega/Trypticon rivalry from the WFC Video Game.

Yeah becuase people saw the design and said “See he wasn’t suppose to be a headmaster!” But in reality it was because it was a design commissioned to Emiliano Santalucia and was told “Just design a Galvatron” and had no idea of the gimmick to the line yet.

Something people still haven’t figured out that when Emiliano Santalucia or Hasbro releases his toy designs he’s not told the gimmick, just make a new modern g1 version of this character.

I'm still pulling really hard for Omega to be the Ark. Simple fact is, his G1 self made no sense considering the rocket and such, and Energon doesn't make too much sense either seeing as how boat and train are about on par wit rocket and base in terms of all parts being where they need to be.

I still stand by the fact that Animated was the best overall TF show we have ever gotten, and Omega as the Ark, or even just as a vessel that looks like the Ark, makes far more sense and would be fantastic, especially if he can interact with Micromasters and Battlemasters

I'm fine with 19", I just prefer to see 24" reserved for citybots, and maybe planets, as something special. Considering how many moving parts a new G1 Omega would have they probably would need to make him smaller to stay at the price point.

I'm a little annoyed that they've been teasing the next Titan like it's going to be something massive the likes of which we've never seen before and the hidden messages seemed to be pointing towards a massive threat (possibly Unicron), and it might just be Omega. Don't get me wrong, Omega is going to be amazing no matter what, but I doubt it'll live up to the hype.

What new continuity? We were told Siege takes place during the final days on Cybertron just before the first episode of the cartoon. None of the other characters have been greatly reimagined, most are barely cybertronian looking, why should we expect a massive overhaul for Omega? And really it isn't even entirely about Omega, it's also about not messing with the Ark and everything it represents as their base of operations and home of Teletraan-1. I don't like the idea of two entirely separate things being mashed together for no reason.

For characters who have been a mainstay ever since the likes of Classics it's getting old, but there is still a decent chunk of GEEWUN badly in need of update, with Omega Supreme being one of the last 'toon guys alongside Shockwave. Titans Return gave spotlight to neglected Seasdon 4/The Rebirth/early Japanese TF-era characters, including a return of the Headmaster gimmick.

So overall I'm 50/50 on getting 'just G1 with articulation': I don't really need five more Optimus Prime unless they do something unique but for those few remaining characters badly in need of an update? Yeah, sure, remake the G1 figure with articulation. I mean you do realize we never got a 'proper' CHUG Shockwave, right?

Nope. They just said that that was the sort of setting they were going for with the line and alt modes. Otherwise I doubt that Magnus would have received the RiD vehicle mode

...why are people acting like every single figure in this line is going to be a 100% identical-to-G1-plus-articulation update, when we've already seen a Magnus with an alt mode from a different continuity, a Cog that comes apart into essentially a mini Apex Armor for any other character, and Micromasters that combine into weapons? There has never been a guarantee that they won't do anything new/non-G1 based with these figures, I don't see why half the people here want to exclude Omega from that possibility. Omega arguably needs an update the most of the G1 cast, his alt mode is so nonsensical (which is probably why Energon/Animated/WfC changed his design/alt mode in the first place), and it can't just be a case of not having gotten this character in a while because nobody's complaining about the Micromasters having weapon modes. It's not like Omega can't have a G1-based robot mode and still turn into the Ark or something else that is an actual cohesive alt mode, WfC did it perfectly fine. Personally, I think the perfect Omega would be a fusion of his Animated and WfC designs.

I can surely say that if the ark isn’t just artistic liscence, that it’s absolutely possible AND very probable that Hasbro will make it Omega Supreme

I think that since the “Aligned” continuity, Hasbro wants to celebrate all the series with each line. I thought animated was a great example of this; recreate the characters we all know and love in a new setting and a unique aesthetic. In that vein, I wouldn’t put it past them to make an Omega Spreem that turns into the ark like animated. Just like g1, he’s an important transport for the characters, could have a “headmaster” tank still, and also retain a base mode by unfolding like all the Titan figures and TR leaders have had.

It would be a great G1 homage and a celebration of the characters history, like Ultra Magnus. I’m no psychic, but go ahead and quote me when it comes to pass xD

Warden himself told Seibertron (Ryan) at the SDCC press event that Siege is a "gritty retelling of the '84 pilot". You can interpret that however you want, but that sure sounds G1 cartoon based to me. Obviously they've padded it out with characters that didn't leave Cybertron immediately like Chromia, the Targetmasters, and the Micromasters, but that's all just populating the planet with cool stuff than drastically injecting new elements into the story. Just think of them all as being off screen in the first episode.

As for Magnus, I don't look at him as being a great departure from the original. I think of this as his Cybertronian form while the G1 figure is his "future Earth" form.

Then he's mistaken because I actually like Omega Supreme within the setting of Animated, I cheered the first time he transformed. I just don't like the idea of the concept being recycled into such a purely G1 setting.
