Even though Barricade is pretty, he's an easy pass for me. I'm probably all in on any Datsun Bros they release and I have no connection to Barricade as a character. Lovely deco though.

I do like the looks of the new micromasters that are new molds. Those guys are bite sized fun plastic snacks.

Kind of hoped for it to be a Mirage redeco, still Zero Wants from all the carbots in Siege. Will be interesting to see what redecos the Mirage mold eventually gets used for.

Barricade definitely need a visor and/or mouthplate but otherwise this is fine, even if I wish he had looked more like the Evergreen Barricade.

A different face sculpt for Barricade would have been nice. Make him stand out a bit more than having a 'reverse-Prowl' colour palette.

He does have a different head from Prowl

I love this for months people were wanting to see barricade waiting and expecting him to be a black prowl and there he is and people are complaiming that that’s exactly what he is and wanted.

Although now that he is basically showing we are getting a Smokescreen, I'm debating attempting to get all 3 Datsuns when they come out plus Barricade. I don't have a Bluestreak yet and my Smokescreen and my 3 Prowls are all Combiners. well, my Prime Prowl is on my Generations shelf, so hmmm

I'm not sure whether or not I will get Barricade. I love his colors, but I'm probably going to have 3 copies of that mold anyway so I'm finding it hard to warrant the extra purchase.

I'm surprised no one else mentioned this yet, but the Cybertronian "Police" writing on Barricade's doors is done in the Autobot alphabet, not the Decepticon one. I'm assuming this is just an oversight in the CGI render. They probably just neglected to change that overlay from Prowls when they did the palette, head, and weapon swaps.



Perhaps this error will be caught before the figures actually go into production.

My Walmart just stocked Starscream and Soundwave. In hand, they don't look that good, honestly. They both look dull and like the paint apps weren't finished. I know I'm going to pass on Soundwave (if anyone wants him let me know and I'll pick him up for you), and I'm split on Starscream. I collect voyager Screamers so I might get him for that shelf, but he's not that impressive.

Well, at least we can tell where the purple came from.

I'm still kinda confused whether purple exists on movie Barricade at all. Some figures have purple (2007 Deluxe, the Human Alliance, Robot Replica, DotM Deluxe), but MPM has bright blue and Studio Series has just black in those places. Some renders of the cgi model show a more subtle dark blue/purple that's almost as black as the rest of him while others have it a more stronger blue

As for that Siege Barricade, it's just another in a long line of Autobots and Decepticons sharing the same body and face. Something I really hate in Transformers as it makes no sense for them to do so without a specific reason.

It's not canon, but my mental workaround has always been the animated explanation of their being a variety of basic body types with different variations based on whoever is wearing it.

This would be the first sighting of the Wave 2 SIEGE Voyagers in the U.S., if that is where you found them. We should news that, but we need to know the location of the store.
