Was the recent Legends one bad? Granted if there is one Mini-Bot who need (and indeed) has been 'promoted' to full size it really needs to be Warpath. He's a friggin' tank!

I'm VERY fussy when it comes to Warpath (honestly can't explain why). I want a G1-esque tank with modern articulation, the same treatment as all the other Minibots have gotten.

It's because the Combiner Wars version Hasbro did neglected to retool his chest to add the iconic gun barrel, isn't it?

IT WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN THAT HARD TO DO HASBRO! :(

Agreed, but for whatever reason, it seems Hasbro is loathe to retool ANY Legends class figure beyond a simple head swap. :(

The animated fan in me is screaming for an Ark Omega Supreme. Animated was my first show, and Omega was awesome, and making him the Ark would be very cool.

And as for super G1 Warden, Magnus is glaring us in the face as a G1 toy and RiD2001 toy fusion, so with the evidence of paying more attention other incarnations of characters, it is not too hard to believe it could happen.

I'm hoping to take a break from the voyagers and leaders from this line. I kinda want to get some more smaller guys, expecially since Prime Wars ended up giving me a holy crap ton of voyagers and I do want to be pickier on figures.

As soon as Predaking comes back in stock at HTS, I will get him to support my hoped for Animated/G1 Omega Supreme.

Also and finally: still PO-ed there is no sign of the Autobot Targetmasters. But looking forward to Impactor! and maybe Mirage!

I don't see how these two things are even comparable. Magnus is simply trading one car carrier mode for another in homage to someone that doesn't exist in Hasbro's G1 continuity, and fully maintains his G1 look all the way down to the white Prime inside. Plus we just got a really nice Magnus in CW giving them more room to do something different without angering fans. Not to mention a whole bunch white Primes without the armor. Plus, for all we know Magnus could be a pre-tool for a proper RID version.

On the other hand we've never gotten a proper update for Omega Supreme in G1 and there's no connection between him and the Ark which already exists in G1, they're already established as two different things. It would be a total waste to suddenly make them both one and the same before doing things the proper way first. They can pull something like that in Cyberverse, it doesn't belong in Generations as far as I'm concerned.

I'm honestly surprised I'm the only one that's strongly against it and thinks this is a terrible idea.

They are quite comparable, giving us the alt mode of another different iteration of a character for a G1 character's robot mode and toy gimmick.

As for the proper update for Omega, couldn't it be that his alt mode and style of transformation are outdated? Now I know Cog sort of throws this out the door, but he can be used as armor, so it sort of works. But Omega, with his size, wouldn't it be better for him to be a space ship, especially considering all the conundrums with his rocket mode transporting bots places and the rest just magically appears?

And it's ok to not like the idea, but as someone who saw Omega truly reach his alt mode potential in Animated, and then again to an extent in the WFC game, it makes sense, and it looks much better to me as well.

And it's called "Generations" for a reason: through time, not straight G1. That's what I would like most about an Ark Omega, he takes the G1 robot mode and uses the Animated alt mode.

I'm divided on Omega Supreme.

On one hand I want his traditional G1 base, for strictly nostalgia reasons (getting him is a VERY vivid memory).

On the other, I really would like to see him transform into The Ark, because it seems more logical than a tank that goes around a track.

Yeah, I'm none too happy about that either. See my earlier post bemoaning how we're still short most of the 1987 Minibots and a proper new Flywheels duo to go along with Power of the Primes Battleslash and Roadtrap, not to mention the rest of the Deluxe Insecticons. Come on, Hasbro! Finish what you start!

OK, but the Ark is already an established thing of its own. I'll happily say I love the idea of a massive transforming Omega Supreme Ark... in Animated. They'd have to come up with one heck of a good explanation for why this one established character now turns into this one established thing in a story line that's supposed to be a prequel to the cartoon or at least a very cartoon-like story line.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Titan Omega has to be G1 perfection, but he should at least feel like an update like the previous Titans did and not a complete makeover. If they want to drop the tracks and launchpad and make him purely a long rocket of some fashion and a tank like a massive Duocon I'd be fine with that, really. Just as long as it isn't the Ark. To me the Ark is something special, it's what got them to Earth and their base of operations. It was unique in that it didn't transform and even had a personalty all its own from Teletraan 1.

Warden stated that they don't plan on doing the other halves of teams. #-o I'm thinking they aren't quite as dedicated to the Micro Masters (that space in the name is killing me) as they seem so I wouldn't expect playsets as some suggest.

Anyway, you missed the Air Strike Patrol and listed the Rescue patrol twice. ;) I'm still hoping that the Spy Patrol is based on RID Spychangers. I said that before SDCC and after seeing Ultra Magnus I want that to be true all the more.

O crap, I actually did...

Anyway, the Spy and Road Patrols may be new names for existing Teams. Plenty to choose from as some themes were repeated: 2 army-based teams, 2 plane-based teams (with a stealth plane among them) and... too many based on cars and trucks, with 3 just cars already.

Yes, we have a Leader Class Shockwave, BUT that may actually be for the Studio Series and not WFC (how does movie Shockwave size to Prime anyway?). This list is nowhere near a certainty, but educated guesses with firm bases.

One chart I found had him at 35' like Megatron so I can't really see him as a Leader class if an equally complex Cybertronian tank like Megatron wasn't one.

We talking Movie 1 Megatron or DotM?
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

- Jelze Bunnycat =:3

Looking for:
- TR Furos (Hardhead's head) and Crashbash (lost him :()
- PotP Punch head
- TR Galvatron right arm (the gun one)
- CW Brake-Neck/UW Wildrider, CW Offroad
- TR Twinferno & Grotusque
- Greenlight, Lancer and PotP Elita-1
- Legacy Core Slug, Sludge & Snarl

I had just assumed the Road Patrol was a shortening of Off Road Patrol. :-?

Both? Pretty sure he's 35' in all of the movies except TLK which shrunk him down to 30'.

Now that we're talking about the possible new Voyager Seekers... let's see how many possible characters we could get out of these molds. (Assuming they aren't as bad as Potp Screamer...)

We got:
Starscream
Skywarp Lordy, Thew is gonna have a field day with this guy.
Thundercracker
Dirge
Ramjet
Thrust
Sunstorm
Bitstream
Hotlink
Nacelle Let's be honest, you only remember him because he got a TFCC figure, don't you?
Acid Storm
Ion Storm
Nova Storm
Red Wing
Sandstorm
Slipstream
Wheezing Arrow <-- Really? Wheezing Arrow? So stupid...
Also, thanks TFWiki for the list.
And now, counting all of the unnamed seekers from the G1 cartoon, since Hasbro wants to add new characters, we could use them as blank slates, we have... 37 seekers total. :BOOM:
Obviously, they won't make 37 toys for all those seekers, but it gives us a good reason to be excited.

While we're talking "Tetrajet Seekers" and such, what could Hasbro and Takara do to really translate the "Coneheads" into Cybertronian form? All Thundercracker and Skywarp need are different paint jobs to differentiate them from Starscream to most fans' satisfaction, but each of the Coneheads was uniquely retooled in G1. Would people be happy with simple repaints of the standard "Tetrajet" mold (whatever form it may take in War for Cybertron) as Ramjet, Dirge, and Thrust? Would we rather have the Coneheads use a modified mold compared to the season 1 Seekers? Would all three need to be wholly unique retools, or could they all share the same alternate model of Tetrajet?

I'd assume it'd be a simple head retool that gives it a conehead. Whether or not the cone-shaped heads would affect the Tetrajet alt mode is obviously still up in the air, but if it does, it probably wouldn't affect the alt mode too much.

Man, all this talk of the seekers just makes me more curious about the Decepticons in the line. :CON:

Just fake the cone head, wouldn't be the first time they've used fake parts.

I'm thinking beyond just their distinctive heads, though. Each of the Coneheads also had a unique jet mode and robot mode silhouette (thanks to their different alt-mode kibble). Were these distinctions from the other Seekers and among each other something they always had back on Cybertron, or traits they acquired upon being rescanned on earth millions of years later?

I'd love a new, well-done Warpath too. The Generations Deluxe was one of the first toys I bought when I came into the hobby as an adult and I loved it. That mould downscaled would do me fine!

I see what you did there, and I like it.

Me too. The "More con videos" post increased my heart rate much more than it should have. Each morning this weekend when I went onto the fansites I was really, really hoping to see pics of WFC:S Decepticons from San Diego. Sigh.

We'll see the cons soon no doubt, just have to be a little more patient...what's more worrying is if the cons will be worth the wait.

I take it you're not to keen on the Generations Deluxe Warpath, with it not being G1 enough?

Skritz wrote:Can't be Powermaster Prime or G2 Prime, those looks were already used in Titans Return. I'm really puzzled what Optimus Prime design they haven't retouched and remade by this point. Even Star Convoy got a mild homage in the regular TR Voyager. Unless Hasbro felt like doing their own take on God Ginrai/Apex Armor with a Magnus redeco with completely new armor tooling but I don't see it either. :-?

Armada Prime.

On one hand I want his traditional G1 base, for strictly nostalgia reasons (getting him is a VERY vivid memory).

On the other, I really would like to see him transform into The Ark, because it seems more logical than a tank that goes around a track.

Omega Supreme literally is my guy, ever since 1985. I think FT Terminus Giganticus got it right, I hope Hasbro does something similar. Now that's not to say an Omega Supreme toy as The Ark, wouldn't be cool. I know everyone references this from TFA, and it would have been nice to get one in that toy line. I say why cant we have both? Give us a Titan Omega hopefully for 2019 with "Siege", and then in the not to distant future, we get a TFA Omega Supreme. I think blending the two is a disservice to both, as they are both very unique, and deserve their own take, rather than being fused together.

The pic that convinced a certain 9 year old, back in 1985, that Omega Supreme was the best of the best, before he was in print or animation. 8-)
