Pretty good lookin figure, but I dunno if this was a crossover anyone was looking for. Maybe it's just me but This doesn't feel like super iconic vehicle to get this kind of treatment.

As has been said, Stranger Things is one of the biggest shows in recent years (one themed entirely around 1980s nostalgia, no less), and there's really no other vehicle choice from that show to make into a Transformer besides this one, which featured heavily in the most recent season as of this typing.

I got my Code Red in. He is actually a pretty decent figure. I like how tall he ends up being, and his VW pizza van mode is cool. I like him, especially that face sculpt and pizza sign cannon with pizza box clip.

I ultimately set him with the Ghostbusters, felt like he belonged there, along with a few other solo outcasts of mine

I am actually really enjoying Code Red. I like the creativity here, and he is proving to be a fun figure. Definitely one of the better quality crossover figures

New Reveal: Transformers x Stranger Things "Freakwency and 8-Trax" Collide for Stranger Things Day!

November 6 is Stranger Things Day, the date that marks when Will Byers first vanished into the Upside Down and kicked off a pop culture phenomenon that continues to unite fans around the world. To celebrate the occasion, and ahead of the fifth and final season of the hit Netflix series, Hasbro has revealed an all-new Transformers x Stranger Things Collaborative crossover: Freakwency and 8-Trax.

Inspired by the mysterious WSQK van seen in the official teaser for the upcoming season, Freakwency converts from a 6-inch robot into van mode in 16 steps. His companion, 8-Trax, transforms from 8-track tape to hawk mode in 8 steps and can store inside Freakwency's chest while in tape mode. Even the included chicken accessory converts into a blaster in 6 steps.

TRANSFORMERS Stranger Things FREAKWENCY AND 8-TRAX

Available for preorder exclusively through Target and Hasbro Pulse beginning November 6, 2025, this set is priced at $57.99 and is recommended for ages 8 and up. The Transformers x Stranger Things Collaborative "Freakwency and 8-Trax" is scheduled to release on June 1, 2026, giving fans plenty of time to gear up for the final season of the Netflix phenomenon.

This latest addition to the Transformers Collaborative line brings together two fan-favorite worlds and offers a fun new twist for collectors of both franchises.

Never seen Stranger Things, but I'm going to end up buying this for the birds. Cassette completism and the ReAction Svengoolie figure in my Pile Of Loot demand it. This will lead to the Weird Al MLP tank in my basement being unboxed as well, just not sure when.

Does the rubber chicken have a name?
You actually get 3 figures (inclusive of rubber chicken "accessory") even though the name suggests only 2.

Rubber chicken aside, I can't believe that in 2025 we're getting the first ever transforming 8-track tape! I might have to get this just for the novelty of THAT!

I have zero interest in this or pretty much any other crossovers. But it does have me pretty excited for a Skybound Shredhead figure retool/repaint of this. It won't take much and should look really dope.

You're not the first person I've seen suggest this, but I really don't see anything in common between the two aside from the van. If anything he's an extended Age of the Primes Armada First Aid or Legacy Cannonball.

I have a soft spot for the 80's and 90's styled vans, so I will get this at some point. However, I am going to be much pickier with prices, so I will wait until I can get them for cheaper

I wouldn't expect a retool or reuse of any original crossover mold any time soon. So far I don't believe any of the original crossover molds have been re-used except for Ectotron version 1 and version 2. The Maverick mold was a no-brainer for being used as the predator jets, but 5 years later, no sign of them. Many of the crossovers are also retailer exclusives, like this one is for Target, so that could further complicate mold re-use.

Oh I 'm not under any illusions of it having a great chance of a Shredhead retool. Just excited that I think it is possible with a few small changes. Also that it would be pretty sweet looking.

Yeah, they'll go main line mold to exclusive mold, but they wont go the other way, even if it's just shared engineering.

Ectotron - Combiner Wars Hot Spot/Onslaught mold
Gigawatt - Siege Sideswipe mold
Ultimate X-Spanse - Studio Series Jetfire
Tyrannocon Rex - Kingdom Megatron
And all the other obvious minor retools/repaints

It's always one way and not the other with these things. However, we have now seen SS molds get used outside of the line when people have said in the past that was impossible so maybe it's just timed exclusivity.
