Not bad but I think Im committed to MMC. In Divebombs bird mode they really needed to find something to do with the robot mode's legs. They are way too big to be bird legs. This is one of the few cases where using the traditional G1 style transformation for a updated figure doesnt look right. Also Razorclaw's lion head seems too big. I guess they want that anime look for Predaking, but it makes Razorclaw suffer.

Finding it hard to disagree with you this time, X. Pretty much my feelings to the letter.

I hope these come out around the same time so we can get a figure by figure comparison like how we did with TFC and Maketoys Devastators. So far though MMC has a stronger hold on my attentions.

Really, really not feeling that Razorclaw. He looks like an articulated version of the G1 toy. That lion head is far too big. It looks comical in my opinion. I'm so glad they released this picture. It made the decision to go with MMC's Predaking much much easier.

Thanks for the heads up. I was already leaning towards the MMC version, but seeing those pics and the $95 price tag for what looks to be a deluxe size toy, pass.

When the images of MMC's Tantrum appeared I very nearly had an accident I haven't had since I was really young :grin:

These images were more of a non-event. Shame really, but at least we have a choice like with Devy.

Looks good so far except for the spikes protruding from the top and bottom of the hand. The claws are a nice touch. Drop the spikes.

The fact that these are $100 deluxe figures compared to MMC's $100 voyager figures doesn't help UniqueToys either.

Yep, I believe this is too true. I don't think we are even close to having a Hercules-Giant near tie competition here. MMC just body slammed Unique Toys into next year.

I would not want to be in Unique Toys shoes at this time...

Okay I'll admit. That is a sexy Headstrong. If their Divebomb wasn't a letdown, I'd seriously consider that. But I need to see MMC's offering.

Leg mode has great foot articulation, but other than that these look crap...

We've already seen two of MMC's Preds and they are both better, so it's a safe bet their Headstrong will be better as well. MMC's first release is cheaper atm and even if they were the same price it would still be a better deal because of the size difference.

I forgot we saw MMC's Tantrum, thanks for the reminder. And yes, MMC is a better value because right now their larger Divebomb is cheaper, and even at the same price, it's more toy for the same money. I'm definitely in the MMC camp but still curious to see how the final product turns out here. I looked at all the pics posted and I'm eager to see how it differentiates itself from the custom it resembles.
