I really want to get this figure MIMB for a non-scalper price. So is any TRU store in the US still sitting on these or has the well all but dried up?

Oh yeah thanks Hasbro for making this an exclusive, you really screw over anyone outside the US every time you do this.

There is still the YoTH Optimus Prime still in stores. Why does everyone assume that it is Hasbro that is dictating the exclusive nature of the MP's?

Toys R Us UK may be an easier way to source the YOTH version if your after that.

I know of a German member on here called Dead Metal that got his from the UK, not sure if he got it directly from TRU UK. Couldn't tell you if they post outside of the UK.

Some shops around the UK have a couple of them, but they're rare and scattered and you'd have to go to stores in person. The website doesn't carry them either.

I eventually got one from eBay for £10 over retail price, wasn't impressed, but could've been a lot worse.

You could try TRU UK customers services phone number 01628414141. They should be able to tell you if any stores have them, and in which stores.

I tried that myself, and they were rubbish.

Anytime I've dealt with them they have been fantastic. I always ended up talking to a girl called Jackie, maybe she's just extra awesome lol

Actually i am not after the YOTH Prime, i actually prefer the Hasbro, shockingly enough. The lighter blue, the blue roller and the painted eyes make him look better IMO. I am not in the UK, in The Netherlands to be exact. Exclusives are bad for people that are outside the US. Definately TRU exclusives since that drives the price up even further here (we don't have a TRU).

Oh, I prefer the regular Hasbro version too! If I ever come across another MP Optimus, I'll let you know, but I doubt there is anything reachable and affordable out there at the moment.

Yeah but I mean if you contact them they should be able to find out for you if the G1 deco is in stock in any of the UK stores, as it's no longer available online like the YOTH version is. If they can't sell/post to you in the Netherlands directly I could be your go between if your cool with that. Get them to transfer it to my local store, then I could post it on to you.

I have family, who do my bidding, not because they love me, but because they know better. They acquired it and a second one (for another board-member) at their local store.

Have a try in the UK sightings thread, they might be able to pick one up. MPs usually clutter UK shelves for a while. heck, it took them more than two years to get rid of the 20th anniversary Primes.
