Episode #149 “Titans Arrive“ is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Oh, and if you're looking for non-toy talk, check out Episode 150 for an entire episode devoted to Sins of the Wreckers!
With a new toyline upon us, we take stock of all the in-hand impressions we can give you on each of the toys that one or more cast members has in their possession. You can follow along as we go from toy to toy using the Titans Return toy galleries, which are being updated almost daily with comprehensive photos of all the new toys.
Prepare to hear about this guy. A lot about this guy.
After taking time for the Voyagers we chat it up about the deluxes from the first wave: Scourge, Hardhead, Skullsmasher, and Blurr. What car mode has zoomed into our hearts? Is it a boat or a spacecraft? Tune in for answers to some of this, and you may even figure out a way to make your Skullcruncher a bit more stable when standing.
Squeezecruncher, perhaps?
Bases are in this year, right? The Leader Class Powermaster Optimus Primeand wave mate Blaster prepare to host all the little bots as they build their Cybertronian cities. Is this play pattern something you like to indulge in, or are these gimmicks too obtrusive for you? Let us know what you think in the thread, and post pictures of your best base modes too!
If we actually took anyone's money for this show, we'd just use it to turn our recording areas into large replicas of this.
The Titan Masters get their due time as well, with Nightbeat, Loudmouth, and more driving their tiny tanks all around the conversation. Or is it a floating tank?
Supplemental, complementary, or is that too much math?
Just in time for this edition of the show, Fortress Maximus arrives at Seibertron HQ. Experience a live unboxing (sort of), first impressions, and even some serious armature. You know, to attach his arm. Like Metroplex, only more fortress-y.
Drive me closer!
Combiner Wars isn't totally over, and a quick time out from the Titans is in order as we look at some of that line's later releases including the recently released Unite Warriors Bruticus set. This one features new mold Blast-Off, plus some other enhanced deco editions of the Combaticons and other minor retools such as Vortex's blades. Find out if we recommend this set, or if it's just a swindle.
With apologies to Casey Kasem
There's even a bit of the Transformers Subscription Service lending a limb, and a new matrix, to this episode. Windsweeper and the Matrix of Malice have arrived in mailboxes. With a slick new deco, we have plenty to say about this latest entry from the Transformers Collectors' Club, and even convene the most pointless debate ever about which Matrix mold it uses.
MP-10 to put it in not included.
After talking still more about Titans Return, and then more about it, and then more about Galvatron again (and again), we at last move on to finish the episode out with some bragging rights.
Buyer's market
Don't forget, the show only gets better if you tell us how. Drop us a review on iTunes and be sure to tell us what you love, what you hate, and what you want to hear!
Not on the show to give your take? Probably not, so don't forget to keep the discussion going on the Seibertron.com Energon Pub Forums by simply replying to this post!
Got a question for the Twincast? We take all of them, we just don't take them all seriously! Leave a question in the Ask the Twincast thread and, if it makes the cut, it may get read and answered on the show.
