Actually , someone correct me if im wrong but i seem to remember reading something recently that hasbro is considering the rebirth of the classics line... and as for that bruticus combiner, since the price point is low for the whole set. its a good chance that they will be interchangeable like the scramble city combiners. So that you can interchange the limbs they look like you have a connection point a set up for foot or hand/claw and there may be other limbs added to set s later
......what i'm concerned with is if they dont make other bodys and the limbs become interchangeable like some lame power ranger zord gimmick. but Since combiners is what my main collection revolves around i'd buy it on personal preferances

Re: UK Toyfair 2010 Transformers Advertisement - First Look at Seaspray, Bruticus and More!
Even if they're not calling it ROTF anymore, I'm so tired of the movie and its characters. They need to so something fresh. War For Cybertron is a step in the right direction, but it seems like it's going to be a very small line. On the one hand that's good, as it means I can easily get all the ones I want, but I'd really like them to take a break from the movie stuff before the whirlwind starts again for the next film...
Power Core Combiners is intriguing, but I never was into minicons before, I can't see that changing now. I suppose we'll see.
Keep in mind there's a new cartoon in the works, there has to be something attatched to that which they wouldn't be revealing yet.

Seaspray looks cool and so does that Bruticus. But I think we need bigger pics. I can't tell if that is a new bruticus or a repaint of the energon version.

Bruticus is definitly not a repaint of the Energon version. Swindle can be seen as one of the legs and the hands and feet appear to be part of the toys. Also it is being released under the Power Core Combiner brand so it is a brand new toy. Hopefully there will be more 5 packs including jets, emergency vehicles and a set of cars with a truck.
Watch the first of my youtube series, Friends Transform.

Seaspray and Bruticus are must-haves for me. Huffer looks pretty cool too, in my opinion the powercore combiners are a step in the right direction.

Please Hasbro give us new versions of the G1 combiners and no other repaints of the dumb Energon figures(save for Bruticus)......

Lol I thought Seespray was a blue repaint of Ejector
I think the Powercore Copmbiners are the best and only interesting thing on this sheet, Hell yea for Combiners!

Don't look at it as Mini-con partners/gimmicks. Look at it as Breastmaster/Targetmaster/Godmaster gimmicks. Far as we've been led to believe there is no "hidden function" to the little guys. They either become robots, weapons(melee & long range), or armor plates.

Currently searching for Cybertron Supreme Starscream & G2 Go-Bots Megatron, Complete at good prices. PM if you can help please.

After reading people's comments - I wonder if Hasbro may be confusing and alienating fans and children by merging two different lines and astetic styles into one line and calling it something different.

I'll wait on Seaspray till everyone has him for half price. I like the Power Core Combiners, but I might not be buying much else this year if we don't get any real classics.

I was a bit dissapointed in Classics Seaspray until I realized it isn't Classics so I'll get it.
Finally a new Ironhide mold I was tired of Repaints of the 2007 mold.
Cyber ops BB is looking pretty good I may get it.
Powercore Combiners are looking great. I'm in love with Bruticus.

Oh and also in reponse to Mkall, It says power core combiners is a new segement based on the cobination theme introduced in RotF, oh wait, intoduced in the movie. Primus, I hate writing myself into corners, but that's where I got the idea that it was RotF.
The things I start, sheesh.
There have to be at least 15 other comments on my opinions about this.

The new packaging looks nice. It's real clean, and has the artwork on the front card similar to the Universe 2.0 line.
I'm really digging the Power Core Combiners. Like Trikeboy said, gimme some more scramble city teams!

I wonder if the new packaging design will bring forth premium-esque releases of the ROTF figures...

I've been compiling a scale list (largest to smallest) of the Film Transformers based on; vehicle/alternate modes (with the best dimension data possible), as many official charts I could find & most crucially, the figures I actually own & desire! If anyone would like a bit of assistance in scale or would simply like a peek at the list, do say so! ^^
(Also been working on something big; I'm a writer, so that's a clue...

Re: UK Toyfair 2010 Transformers Advertisement - First Look at Seaspray, Bruticus and More!
Legends Bruticus? What's the point?
Hasbro have really messed up the combiners in the last year. First we get ROTF Devestator with his no robot mode parts and then a Legend set.
Am I the only one who dislikes Legends? I wish they would make more Scouts instead of Legends.
I suppose it's because of my G1 roots. I hated that the combiners were so small as a kid. Thank Primus for KO oversized Bruticus.
I will pick up Ironhide and Seaspray. I like the downsizing of Ironhide and Ratchet. Hopefully the trend will continue and we'll get Scout versions of Bumblebee and Barricade.
So how big is Huffer? Did I misread it or did it say that the Powercore guys are Legend size?

Going by the boxes we've seen for mock-ups and the design I say that Huffer is deluxe and Cali-burst little larger than legends size.

I personally love Legends figures. I think they capture what I loved about G1 toys when I was young. Simple, fun, and memorable. Now, after two or three years of fans asking for a legends combiner with different individual figures we finally get one. Good ones.
As for Huffer, Smolder and Searchlight those are scouts as fas as I can tell.

That's my thinking as well. Otherwise the Minicons would be far smaller in comparison.

That does seem like an odd statement. Combination has been around since G1, it wasn't introduced in RotF. It sounds like it's connected to the RotF line to me.

Heck, combination was the whole point of Energon! Though a lot of "parts swapping" went on in RotF. Every one from Skidz & Mudflap through Ravage's hairballs to Optimus wearing a corpse! I still find it funny about the biker chicks getting cut out. There could've been a lot of lesbian jokes made out of that!

I believe the phrase was "We're looking to release it but have no plans at this time" at SDCC 2009.

I don't think there'll be a distinction any more.
uh i dont understand? u mean hasbro is making all TFs all in one series?
Hey wow! That's kind of the way it was all those years ago, when the G1 toys were new, and everything came out under the same name of "Transformers" and we didn't have colons (well, we did, but not in the name of the product line...) or nothin' to let us know that we were buying toys from the regular series, or from the non-cartoon series, or from the comic only, exclusive cartoon movie tie in series.
Yeah, it was rough, but somehow back then, we all figured out how to buy Transformers anyway. Ah, memories.
