I like that they're tanks. And I like that they have the optional pile drivers, but... The arms are just too.... They're too much. They seem wayyyyy out of proportion with the rest of the bot mode. I'll still get it no matter what. Then they can make that head remold of Scourge into Ratbat, grab my Overkill and my Ravage and put them all together. And then just hope for a Slugfest. Laser and Buzz if there's any way to pull that off.

For Laserbeak there's the Real Gear MP3 player whose name I forget.

Don't forget Beastbox, which can be repainted from the Real Gear figure, High Score 100.

1.) TakaraTomy had little to no input for the movies. If you watch the credits, or read the bottom of a poster or a DVD/Blu Ray case, you'll see "In Association With Hasbro" or Hasbro Studios. You see no mention of TakaraTomy anywhere. They help design the toys, but Hasbro's running the show on the movies. Don't blame TakaraTomy for that.

2.) Bay did not produce the films. He directed them, and that's a BIG difference. Stephen Spielberg is the executive producer, followed by DiBonaventura and that halfwit Don Murphy. They produce, Bay directs. He has some control over the final product, but they have final say so, along with Paramount and Dreamworks. And if you think the movie company won't step in and tell him to dumb it down, you're wrong. Hasbro has some say so, but not entirely.

3.) No one said anyone was innocent in any of this. However, you're the only one flinging guilt like poo, and for no good reason.

DTR69 wrote:Power core combiners what a refreshing fun idea. You are just as patronising as Hasbro. And They do push transformers in the UK Toys R Us is full of them, it's just the kids don't even know they are there. Hasbro aren't on the ball. Sometimes big companies make mistakes. And when I talk on behalf of people I'm talking about things that they have actualy said to me, you are talking on behalf of people you have never even spoke to or met. And if you weren't so bothered, what's all this I'm reading, and why do you feel the need to shut people up if you don't like what you here, who do you think you are the president of Lybia.

Wow. Ended that one with a flame, eh? Fail. Absolute fail.

I don't know what the current state of affairs is, in terms of TFs, in the UK, but I do know that while you've spoken to a few people and share their opinion...you do not speak for everyone. Your ego allows you to think you do, but it's just an absolute FACT that you do not speak for everyone in the UK when it comes to TFs. You just don't. It's impossible.

People don't want to hear your point of view because it's full of hyperbole, you're abusive in your responses, and you won't hear another person's opinion, no matter what. And you most certainly won't listen to facts, so why would we want to deal with you?

As for Power Core Combiners, they tried it, it apparently didn't work out all that well, and no one's forcing you to buy 'em. So what? It's not the end of the world that they exist.

DTR69 wrote:And you talk about Anerica Beeing the home of Hasbro etc, but it's not the home of transformers, the figures were beeing sold in Japan and eurpoe long before Hasbro brought them to the States. Hasbro maybe successful but they have borrowed alot from others, they are not the creators of great inovations and ideas, and they stil aren't the ones producing the best Transformers, Tf live action movie, Power core combiners, are nothing compare dthe Mp and BT line, and thats nothing to do with hasbro that's Takara. Fansproject have to clean up the mess alot of the times. It's others that have made TFs what they are today, yes Hasbro brought alot of it together, but they need to look long and hard at what they are doing and take note, if it wasn't for the other companies Hasbro's Transformers would not be the great franchise it is today, and if it were left entirely to Hasbro it would be an absolute mess.

America IS the home of TransFormers. You're missing one key piece here...

Yes, Takara created the original molds for their Microman and Diaclone lines. So, yes, they did exist as different robots in different universes, in a rainbow of different colors. They also came with magnetic pilots, making them mechs, not living robots.

Hasbro saw these, and thought they'd be great as a new series, seeing as they hadn't come to the US, or at least not like Hasbro had planned.

Hasbro created the brand TransFormers. Created the names Megatron and Optimus Prime. They utilized Takara's molds, but everything else, and I mean EVERYTHING else is all Hasbro's doing. Hasbro even started designing their own characters that Japan had never seen before.

If it weren't for Takara's original molds, we wouldn't have the designs we've come to know and love, but if it weren't for Hasbro, we wouldn't have the property, the universe, or the characters that we love. There IS a difference, and you either can't see it, or you're unwilling.

Either way, you are wrong on this one. TransFormers is an American based property, created and devised by Hasbro in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Not Takara of Japan.

You seem to be missing one important point. Hasbro and TakaraTomy design the toys together, and have done so for at least a decade.

Binaltech/Alternators? Joint venture.
Masterpiece? Joint venture.
I might have to concede that TakaraTomy are alone in the design of the Alternity figures, in fact, I'm almost certain Hasbro had nothing to do with those, but the rest? They work TOGETHER.

Both are to be praised for the line's strengths, and both are to be put down for the line's weaknesses.

Oh, and one more thing...sure, FansProject and their kin are incredibly talented, and come up with some incredible pieces, but they're also not held back by safety laws and they don't have to factor children into the equation. Hasbro, and to some extent, TakaraTomy, does.

The HasTak designers are capable of coming up with stuff like City Commander and so on, but they're restrained by laws that won't allow them to. HasTak wouldn't be in this game as long as they have been if they didn't know what they were doing. It's been a quarter of a century and then some, and they still wow us every chance they get.

3rd party builds upon preexisting work, and rarely creates something new. It could be argued that Warbot Defender is new, but really, we all know he's their interpretation of a preexisting character made by HASBRO. That doesn't diminish his impact, but it doesn't super special either.

Man, you are entitled to your opinion, but when you won't play fair and you won't even listen to what other people say, we don't want to deal with you. We just don't.

I may have said Has/Tak and just ment Hasbro at some points, but at the end of the day your points are minor and straying from the point. And no only ou but others are ignoring what my responses are too.

1: I am fully aware that the line was not called transformers in the 70s, and that was my point. Hasbro took several other toylines and yes they Invente dthe COncept of Transformers Autobots & Decepticons, but the actual figures were Takara's and sevral other comapnies toylines. Therefor Hasbro although successful can not be credited for the guts of the concept. And the pre transformers are far superior to anything Hasbro churned out after.

2: The UK had exclusives which wern't available in the States, it had it's own comic, and has more input than any other country that technically has nothing to do with the franchise. TFs were a great success years ago. To suggest that for some reason the UK in some way or another isn't a big deal and TFs aren't worth being pushed here is crazy. Can they afford too, and if Hasbro are producing such great TFs why wouldn't they. There is plenty of stock in the stores. If TFs are being pushed heavily in the States why wouldn't they push hard in the UK if they have invested in the stock. The answer that Becuase The States is the Home of Hasbro is rediculous.

3. How can it be said that I'm the one who doesn't listen. I'm the one who has always thought that Cllectors fund alot of the TF profits, the fact that I have always been told I'm wrong and that the kids are the main target market and consumers, is the reason why I am suggesting that Hasbro is not getting things right in the UK as in the 80s everyone knew what TFs were, now they have a live action movie and kids still aren't getting it.

4: I've always thought I had different tastes from the general public. When I first saw JaJa Binx, I was disgusted, mainly becuase I thought I can't beleive that most people will even find him funny, to my amasement there was a public out cry. [I was kinda anoid in a weird way as I liked the fact that I thought differently, now eveyone thought the same]. This is my point, it amazes me how Big companies can make mistakes that should never have left the drawing board. It was said, they tried power core combiners and they never worked, big deal..... it's the same with skids and mudflap, how can a mistake like that happen, it's obvious, but still I'm wrong for thinking that Hasbro maybe wrong and I maybe right about something.

5: I never said half the stuff that people ae staing about 3rd party companies. If you put all the stuff aside like health and safety restrictions etc, all you have to is compae a head sculpt of a figure like city commander and my point is proven. The head sculpt for Magnus has a very stylised aproach, something a bit different but still G1, but so do alot of the new figures hasbro have, but they don''t have the same edge that fansproject do.

6: MP BT joint venture, maybe financialy and maybe some of the later exclusive alts like ravge and rumble, but no MP has any joint design influence, thast all Takara. Hasbro have not designed any MP figure. Hasbro didn't design any Tfs until around the time of the stunticons. The point there is that alot of th etoyline was already created before the concept of TFs existed and the quality was far superior to what Hasbro brought out after.

7: Yes my spelling is lazy and I may have not explained certain things in depth so I leave it open for people to start pointless arguments, but it gets annoiying when I'm responding to the fact that before Hasbro the toys were available in a wide variety of places and not in Hasbro region, and that the rest of the world was familiar with the figures long before hasbro cliamed rights to them and had any input. This has nothing to do with the fact that Hasbro created the concept of Transformers, there is no need for me to mention that, but if I don't people start starting new arguments which are pointless and hat ae more or less made up as they are challengig something I haven't said. So if I say Has/Tak and my point is about big companies in general, the fact if it is correct for me just to say Takar or Hasbro really doesn't change my point.

8: What facts am I not listening too, and who decides who's facts are correct and who's are not, the genreal vibe is that anything I say is wrong and who ever questions me is right. THis is so stupid, there was just couple of points. But idiots who complain that I don't listen, are not listening themselves and starting pointless sideline arguments on irrelevant mistakes or things not mentioned as they add no value. So now this thread is full of rubbish. The fact that I'm arguing with people who are more bothered about pulling me up on the fact that I got Michael Bay Directing / Producing mixed, rather than the point that he should of not been let anywhere near TFs is what's wrong with this whole situation. Some people have different likes a dislikes likes, different opinions, but that's all good, but then some people have a the same likes and opinions, but a whole other style and approach. I cann appreciate all ypes of music or anything else, I can also tell if something is good or bad without actuly having to like it. I'm glad I am who I am, and it's not the fact that you may oppose my opinion it's why you opposse it, and it seems just for the sake of it. The amount of times I have had an opinion and been right assures me I'm not crazy, and the times I have been wrong has shown me that there is always something new to learn. Alot of you underestimate me, and alhough I am bafffed by some of your rsponses I never feel I am above or below you. The fact that right robot feels that becuase he built his own skyfire, that he is so proud of that he feels he can challenge me to make some figures, then he could pull out his skyfire and go look at this. bet you weren't expecting that. I'm not even gonna go into my skills. But yes his SKyFire is impressive, but a mistake to assume he is better than me. And a mistake for all of you to assume that just becuase you disagree that I am wrong thatjust becuae I have a strong opion that I am not open minded.

I pre-ordered UN-20 Rumble & Frenzy on HLJ, and luckily they are being shipped (along with United Laser Optimus and United Scourge) as I'm writing this.

I had worse luck with ordering United Wreck-gar and United Wheeljack from HLJ: I wasn't aware of HLJ policy, but evidently, even when you have a pre-order for items, they don't actually guarantee you getting your pre-order.
So, while waiting for a couple of other (United) items to complete my HLJ order, they were put on discontinued and my pre-orders won't be honored.

HEY DTR69!

Here you go buddy. Check out this link:
http://www.tfarchive.com/toys/checklists/revenge_of_the_fallen.php

You'll see that for Revenge of the Fallen ALONE, Hasbro released 238 separate products for mass sales in America. Many being store exclusives. Stores in the States. You know how many UK exclusives there were? TWO!

You are a super cool dude if you think that was oversight! In the time that Fansproject has existed, Has/Tak has produced over 2000 transformer toys! But surely you know better than them. You're right about one thing, a lot of us believe your wrong, because you ARE! You claim to do "research", try a little on the subject you ramble about. And try to stay focused. First you started off by saying UK gets no attention, then you start preaching about UK being so important to the hobby.

I'm going flame mode here:
You don't know what you're talking about! :BANG_HEAD:
You try very hard to be right about something, and fail to support your argument. :-?
You are close minded to believe that everyone is just being mean to you and that you could not possibly be mistaken (which I assure you are). ;)
You appear to simply want to whine.
Your spelling mistakes are only significant because they are one more reason that what you write is wrong. (like the word play?)

In closing, look man, lets just be friends. :D

You just contradicted yoursaelf.

"Hasbro Invented the concept of Transformers"
"Hasbro can not be credited for the concept"

In one statement you give them credit, in the next you claim they dont get credit.

I looked it up, and it's 'sort of' usual policy: they say it's to protect themselves from having to keep a large backlog of items (i.e. 'Pile of Loot') for people who order current stuff AND pre-order stuff which will take ages to arrive in stock. Still, I found it pretty pathetic that my order, which contained the two most recent United TF waves, was screwed up, because my order was still waiting for United Kup to get back in stock...

DUDE! the Rumble and Frenzy's are already arriving? Curse you lack of fundage!! I'm man enough to admit when I covet. I love the United line, and my wife is a Rumble (blue) fanatic. She's 95lbs. soaking wet and from Jersey, sometimes the likeness is scary!!! Anyway, my point is I have got to get these, I just thought I had more time.

There is a "Friends and Foes" option in the user cp. CP for Control Panel, not your own personal access to Counterpunch. I'm a married man and quite frankly, none of you are up to my standards.

Also, my style is unblockable.

I've always wondered how that "Foes" option worked. Great stuff!

That situation does suck, no one wants uncertainty if they're pre-ordering something then that's it when it comes in, you get it.
Is that their usual policy or have things been affected by the earthquake/tsunami?

On the bright side, you're in for a treat when you get Scourge + I've just received my Rumble and Frenzy today. Sitting next to me still MISB, looking fantastic.

DUDE! the Rumble and Frenzy's are already arriving? Curse you lack of fundage!! I'm man enough to admit when I covet. I love the United line, and my wife is a Rumble (blue) fanatic. She's 95lbs. soaking wet and from Jersey, sometimes the likeness is scary!!! Anyway, my point is I have got to get these, I just thought I had more time.

Okay, this post...is made of win and scary.

Get that order in quick before the price goes up. Sounds as if you're wife won't mind you spending the cash on it either so you're all good!

GetRightRobot: If your wife is soaking wet, I recommend buying a set of towels. My instinct tells me she would want one those first.

 I meant to describe her as not even 95lbs! It's awesome how she has become her own Transformers fan. She hate's all the girls except Elita 1, she thinks Rodimus Prime is a cry baby, and whenever I get an attitude, she screams "No body calls Soundwave unchrazimatic!" and tries to beat me up! Works everytime. How I lucked out this I cannot explain! :D

Dude, maybe you guys can help me, BBTS.com Robotkingdom.com, TFCC.com and TFsource all sold out of these sets! Is there anywhere else I can buy these.

That's good stuff :D

Ebay seems to be our only option right now. There's a chance stores might get more than they anticipated when they arrive in stock, or there's also a chance that stores could restock a month or two after the first shipment, so just keep an eye out.

Slightly jealous. I want my girlfriend to shout "No one calls Soundwave unchrazimatic."
