I went to TRU and picked up Powerglide and Bombshell. Left Thundercracker as I hve enough seekers. Used my voucher and got MP Sunstorm for £29.99, this will sit on my work desk and replace those Kinder Egg toys that fall over every time I knock the desk.

TRU Chatham had some RID Grimlocks, Bumblebees and the purple dog thing....I forget his name. Also saw Combiner Wars voyagers

I really like the purple plastic they have used on Bombshell, looks almost metallic. Im temped to paint the grey sections with an aluminium paint to see if it improves the figure. I used it on Prime Megatron and he looks great.

Talk about timing, as soon as I got in this morning about 11AM, before I even sit down, mr. postman knocks to deliver my Takara Legends Swerve and Tailgate two pack

Kapow really do post quickly, I only ordered this yesterday morning about 9AM and by 12AM yesterday I had a postage notice from them and it's been delivered within 24 hours.

The little guys are pretty sweet, wasn't going to get them but I bought on a whim, at £25.50 including postage they work out at being less than £13 each I believe and for Takara products that's not bad. I just keep buying more on the whim stuff to keep me busy whilst waiting for Combiner wars wave 2/Armada Megatron to be in stock/sent out, anyone know when those guys will be coming in stock?

I've used Kapow and Omegalock and both their postage has been like lightning.

I'm super excited for the Arcee and Windblade preorders I have open with Kapow being filled this month. They get released on the 14th right?

I haven't had any sort of confirmation from kapow asking for the remaining balance yet though, as I just put down the deposit.

Should I be worried?

I have a feeling it's pretty much a given that they won't be sent out by kapow *on* release day, and it'll probably be some time later this month.

Had a successful haul count from last week, with:
RiD15 Grimlock, Steeljaw & Strongarm
and received my order from Masterforce for: Generations Arcee, Jhiaxus and Windblade

I don't handle admin, that's for Mrs O, but whatever it means in the real world; my Arcee was ordered from Kapow no earlier than Jan 23rd and was here by the 30th. I know because I sent her the link on the 23rd and found the parcel 4 days before my birthday on Feb 3rd. I trained with the best, you can hide it, but I will find it. I think they actually spend a huge amount of time giving a damn about their customers.

The Twitterverse tells us that Combiner Wars is at Sainsbury's!

I will go a-hunting tomorrow, time to get me an Alpha Bravo. At least.

Hasbro UK logic dictates that we will receive Wave 1 without any problems. Wave 2 Deluxes - about a 50/50 chance. Wave 2 voyagers will be skipped an we will get Wave 3 instead, with wave 2 appearing in toys R us and Home Bargains in 2 years time. Legands we will probably be alright on, but only one case of wave 2 in some shops before inevitable restocks of Wave 1. Wave 3 and 4 deluxe will probably be skipped. Leader class will only see Thundercracker - in about a year.

If AoE is anything to go by though... I'm still waiting for Wave 2 and 3 of AoE voyagers to turn up... somewhere... I want a Sgt Bulkhound that I dont have to pay £40 for!

To be fair, the Hasbro UK brand manager, as lovely as he is, has had that position for a month. He was asking me for tips on how to talk about the RID line at Toy Fair.

That is not to say that the sales reps are entirely clueless, but having dealt with some of them in person and via Kapow! Toys, they're also not the most proactive business people. Combine that with TRU trying to snatch exclusives where they can - and there you have the terrible UK distribution.

I see, I wonder how that approach has worked so far then. I was surprised to learn that CW wasn't a tru exclusive

I wonder whether that may have been because of the change in brand manager. It all seemed to happen between November/December, when the toys first surfaced. Still Generations, but Combiner Wars monicker may have 'distracted' everyone.

Though of course that kind of deal would be discussed much earlier in advance.
