Hey, went to Widnes (Whirl, Sandstorms and Blaster)...
Nothing I wanted, but picked you up a Sandstorm.
Drop me a PM and we can sort out posting/paying.

I should probably mention,
I used to work in the warehouse in a B&M store, so if anyone's wondering what day they get the new stock in, they don't have a weekly refresh.
They way they tend to work is that they get a delivery every week day, toy boxes are piled along the side of the warehouse away from everything else, and they have a 'Fill space as the shelves empty out' ethos.
Basically their fill staff look at what stock they have in the back room that doesn't have any units on the shelf and they shove them on where they can.
It's kind of difficult to plan your hunting habits around their refills for these reasons, best plan is to just check back regularly and hope for the best. They might have 5 cases of generations voyagers sitting in the stock room downstairs and put 2 new figures out every day.

I've had a look round seemingly every sodding B&M in Warrington and they've got zero generations stuff. I don't suppose anybody could pick me up a Whirl?

It's safe to assume that I'm just taking the piss.

The big B&M in Widnes (on the retail park with the new bowling alley and cinema) had one yesterday.
If thats too far, I may be able to pick it up for you tomorrow night... whereabouts in Manchester are you? I work in Altrincham if thats of use to pass it over?

The Entertainer also now have CW in stock, naturally they've only got wave 1 because they wouldn't want to risk making any money at the expense of their competitors.
Still, good for people who can't get to the out of town superstores.

I was lucky enough to meet him. It was shortly after unseen academicals came out. His head was so incredibly shiny in person. I couldn't even muster the courage to say anything, just stood there like a lummox while he signed some books for me. Mort and Making money, my 2 favourite discworld books. It's so mad to think that he won't be signing any more of them. Even sadder to know he won't be writing any more.

I believe there's another Tiffany Aching book with his publishers that he finished last year, no idea when it's likely to see print.

Sad news about Terry Pratchett.
I remember him coming to my school to do a couple of talks and signings when I was a kid. I also went to a signing at a book shop around the same time. Somewhere at my parents house I have like the first 10 or so Discworld books all signed. Must have been 20 odd years ago now...
I kind of fell out of the habit of buying and reading his books but I will always remember chatting to him at school (I was a librarian so we got to spend some additional time with him) and we spoke about fans (who he referred to as "Kevin's") and how he felt about inspiring and influencing young people. At the time I thought I might be a writer but never really pursued it.
Great man and will be sorely missed.
Back to topic, not sure if I will manage to get to B+M. Please if anyone sees a Skybyte I will happily pay postage and a a little extra for effort

I checked the large B&M in Bedford but they only had those crazy giant plastic 'statue' Transformers? Tall, skinny and very, very sad to see!
I can offer the same services most have suggested here, buying and posting out to you folk that need them, assuming my store gets the Generation Voyagers in also.
I will keep checking back there on a regular basis and update as or if I find.

So far it's only English B&M stores that have those Generations figures in(Roadbuster, Springer, Sandstorm, Rhinox ect) just did a toy hunt here in Glasgow Scotland, no sign of those here! In either B&M or The Entertainer(btw dunno why The Entertainer removed Combiner Wars wave 2 from their website? & now those Generations figures are up there).
But deffo want SkyByte & Jetfire when they finally do come in.
